For individuals who are interested in their own anatomy and for medical students the Body Explorer 2.0 is a great possibility to learn about the human anatomy. In combination with an usual atlas you have the complete impression of the 3D anatomy. You can surf through the human body by having a view at any desired slice in horizontal level. Following several structures through the slices you will study the anatomy in an excellent way and in CT pictures you will never mix up esophagus and aorta again. By showing a structure with your mouse arrow you can read the correct term. For testing your knowledge, especially when you prepare for an exam, this function is absolutely useful. The programm allows you to choose between six languages. The fun-factor is the bigger the faster your computer is, but it perfectly works on Windows 98.

I loved this book. My kids loved this book. It explains fear from the child's point of view so well that I could remember the same feelings from my own childhood 30 years ago. It is a good reminder to adults of how real a child's fear is and how running away doesn't solve the problem.

YouthSpeaks is an amazing program and Jen & Scott have done an excellent job putting together this guide, capturing the essence of their mission: "the next generation can speak for itself."

Too many writing programs take a hierarchical approach, attempting to define poetry as if in a vacuum, with no regard for individual experience and taste. This guide flips that tired, off-putting approach and instead, starts with the students' own work, introducing and clarifying poetic devices they already use, slowly slipping in the work of others. The exercises are many and varied, their recognition of and focus on performance is impressive and the inclusion of several poems and anecdotes by students of the program is crucial.

If you teach poetry, or even if you just write it yourself, this book should be on your bookshelf.

This Famous Artist book by Antony Mason serves as an introduction to the life and work of Paul Cezanne. These books are organized in a particular way for each two-page spread: On the left page there is an illustration of the artist's home or environment and the story of the artist's life, along with a painting and a small symbol used to indicate the size of the paintings relative to a person. On the right page there are more paintings (usually with a key section enlarged) with text about the artist's work at the time, along with a feature on the artist's technique (e.g., painting with a palette knife, using watercolor, showing depth) with practical projects to try. I have read a couple of other books on Cezanne and Mason certainly provides a better understanding of how the artist is a major influence in Post-Impressionist art and is called the father of Modern Art.

Of the several books look at the life and art of Cezanne this particular volume probably has the best balance between the two. This book will certainly give you the basics and in the back you will find a brief history of art that puts the Impressionist movement in perspective and a list of museums and galleries at which you can see examples of Cezanne's work, although much of it is in the hands of private collectors. Other titles in the Famous Artists series look at Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Monet, Picasso and Van Gogh.

I bought this marvelous book a week ago and find it very informative,too the point,precise and easy to understand.
All the pictures are very clear with proper headings,titles are easy to pick.It is a useful book for exams and one can gain allot from it in little time.
I highly recommend this book to all dermatologists and paeditricians.
