This book was indeed a hair-raiser!
"A Curse on Elizabeth" was pretty good. It wasn't as good as most of the Sweet Valley Kids books though. Liz was knocked out when she, Jessica, and the rest of the second-grade class went to the museum. It has been a long time since I read this book, but I still remember it well. I recommend it to you.

This is one is great for teaching Speed Reading to children
That's because the size of the print is pretty large, and the story is INTERESTING. These two traits make it perfect for teaching speed reading to young kids.

This particular book is just right kind of material to use for teaching 3rd graders through 5th graders to speed read. I have a copy of it that I use for the speed reading classes that I teach.

Why ARE angels blonde girls? What do I want on MY tree?
If everyone you know is a blonde girl, maybe you won't relate to this book. But if you have a red-haired child, or a brunette, or a boy, or are Asian...and have wondered why all angels are blonde females...you will feel for this family as they deal with a child's very serious question. The warmth and beauty of the words and pictures will brighten your holiday season. You'll find yourself looking for angels that look a little more like the people in YOUR life. Merry Christmas!

Good for children and adults
This story provides real life thoughtful questions for adults through the eyes of children. It gives an appropriate sense for children's desire to see themselves reflected in the world around them. I read this story at our school to 3-5 year olds. It was well received by children AND their parents.

Great Story
My little cousin read this book and loved it. It's got a great story line and is really fun to read like all Sweet Valley books. It's challenging enough for young kids but also easy to read through.

Nice Book!
Jessica is like to play tricks. It doesn't have Easter in Japan, so I want to hunt Easter eggs. The story is cute tricks by Jessica. Elizabeth has a secret note about Easter eggs. Jessica peeks it!

The twins are beginners
Elizabeth and Jessica were beginners, but Elizabeth's friend todd wasn't. Todd made friends with Mark. They went to difficult ski trail. I was sorry that Elizabeth couldn't spend time with Todd. I was surprised that Steven sprained his leg.

Left out Liz
This book is definetly wierd! When Liz's friend todd makes friends with mark, liz get's mad.

Good book!!
Eva is a good girl and she has a lot of good friens. Girls go to Lila's birthday party. But Eva said "I won't go". Her father hurts. Does Eva go to Lila's birthday party with Elizabeth and Jessica?

Good book!
Elizabeth help Eva for Lila's birthday present. I think Elizabeth is very gentle's girl. They are bood friend. I think Lila's birthday party enjoy for everyone.

This is a little kids' book of friendship and love and care
You would love to give this book to your kid(s) because it teaches moral values w/o them knowing it! They'll just think it's fun to read! I read this about five years ago, when I was eight. I think anyone up to the age of nine can read this book. It's about a girl named Lila who's very rich. She's going to have a big, huge party with anything a kid could want and she's invited some classmates...but one of them has a homemade present and feels that it's about useless to this poor little rich girl. She learns that it's heart that counts, not face. (Which means it's what's inside, not what's out.) A very sweet book.

It's a nice book
Boys are silly!! I'm sure Elizabeth and Eva get angly. Todd braves. So he was teased about Elizabeth by his boy friend, but he became a good friend, Elizabeth again.

No Girls allowed
Elizabeth was good friend with Todd. But they were not become good friend. Though Elizabeth and Eva are back the team. So they become good friend again. I think good.

a great book
Elizabeth is a member of a socer team. Todd is also a member of the socer team. Later his team mate started teasing him that Elizabeth is his girlfriend. Todd didn't like this so he started being mean to Elizabeth. Later Elizabeth quit the team and can the team get her back to join them again. If not they might lose the game because she the best player on the team. Read this book it great.

A Review by Rowena Wu
Jessica Wakefeild lives in Sweet Valley with her twin sister, Elizabeth. They also have a brother named Steven. Sometimes their best friend can't tell them apart. Only their name bracelets can. Jessica didn't like the class pet, but her twin sister does. The class pet was a hamster called Tinkerbell. Jessica was scared of Tinkerbell because it might bite her. Before each weekend, their teacher came in the classroom, took out a box full of names and pull out a name to see who would take care of it. Jessica wishes she won't have to take Tinkerbell home, but Elizabeth wishes she will. Jessica was the chosen one. The next week and weekend Jessica got to keep it. But in the middle of the vacation Jessica lost Tinkerbell when she was feeding her. (Their brother called Jessica and she forgot to close the cage tight.) Then Tinkerbell ran out. What do you think will happen next?

I would recommend Run-Away Hamster to 2nd graders or higher. It wouldn't be good for boys beacause I think Sweet Valley kids mostly talks about girls issues. This book reminds me of a boy in my class who brought in a hamster to the class. He wasn't suppose to bring it in but he did. In the end of the day he returned it home. I think the moral of this story is to try to have confidence in yourself, and just try new things sometimes. If it still feels bad, you don't have to do that anymore.

Jessica Loses the Class Pet
In the previous Sweet Valley Kids book, "Surprise! Surprise!", Elizabeth Wakefield had spent her birthday wish hoping to bring the class hamster, Tinkerbell, home during winter vacation. And, luckily, her wish comes true in "Runaway Hamster".

Unlike her twin, Jessica can't stand the "ugly rat". She refuses to help in any way, but her mother insists the hamster is half Jessica's responsibility. Reluctantly, Jessica takes care of the pet, but she is soon distracted by her older brother, and Tinkerbell escapes the unattended cage, quickly vanishing somewhere in the Wakefield's home.

As a replacement for Tinkerbell, Elizabeth and Jessica buy another hamster, Thumbelina. But the twins can't help but wonder what happened to their first class pet.

This was one of my favorite SVK books growing up because I had a hamster who ran away as well. Unfortunately, I never found her, but at least this book has a happier ending.

If you like hamsters (and you're about 5 to 8-years-old), you'll probably like this second book in the Sweet Valley Kids series.

Hamster is small and cute!
Jessica and Elizabeth are honest. It is hard to look for it because a hamster is small. It was good they could discover a hamster. This book was funny.

ok book for kiddys
As a big Sweet Valley fan I have read the odd jr series, especially as my neices own them. This is a story about the twins"running away" only they are found in,like,an hour and have not left home...These books are often anti-climax,but I think that is ok.The author is attempting realism, and to be real to the way kids really behave.

RUNAWAY TWINS!
Elizabeth and Jessica are having weekend guests. But Eric and Welsley are very bad! So, the twins decide to run away from home! I think that they feel very lonely. What pretty girls they are!

For littlees
Jessica wants to run away and join the circus teh same way her ancestor Jessamyn did.

Jessic is the star
Ifm surprised Elizabeth and Jessicafs great great-grandmother were identical twins. I think wonderful Jessica riding the pony in the circus. She is like great-great-grandmother. I think she is the star.

What I think......
Ok, i have not read this book, but from the other reviews and the synopsis, I know what this book is about. People that are interested in Jessica and Elizabeth's family history should read, Sweet Valley Saga, The Untold Story (about their father's family) or Sweet Vally Saga, i cant think of the name but it is about the twin's mom's family... Jessymin is in that book. If you are thinking about it, read both of them because they go together very well. There are also books about the ancestors of Lila Fowler and Bruce Patman. Go for it!
