My three-year old lovrd this. Nice pictures of an old-fashioned Thanksgiving, but he particularly liked the idea of a ook you could sing along to.

The Panthers And The Militias: Brothers Under The Skin? by John A. Wood is a brief (52 pages) yet straightforward, scholarly analysis of the Black Panther movement and militias in America. History, similarities, differences, economic and cultural issues are all discussed in this learned treatise, which is exhaustively researched and meticulously written. The Panthers And The Militias is a welcome and original contribution to Black Studies and American History supplemental reading lists and academic reference collections.

Rev. Wood brings the Psalms alive with this insightful and spiritually rich commentary on this much loved book of the Bible. Each chapter presents one psalm with full text and insightful and inspirational commentary and illustration. I gave it to my wife for Christmas last year and she has enjoyed using it as a daily devotional.

I am a mother of two children married to a successful business person. This book helped me prepare my case and find assets in the business. Our case is still pending but I have already received more information from this book than I have from my lawyer during the entire case. I recommend it to anyone considering a divorce. I especially appreciate the list of professionals contained in the back of the book and the social security information. This should be required reading for anyone who is going through a divorce.

This is one of Schmidt's "superbooks," a large format novel with unusual page layouts, illustrations, and puns a'plenty. Nowhere near as difficult as Zettel's Traum or Evening Edged in Gold, it's a rollicking tale of culture-clash set in the near future (with an extended flashback to 1969), and features a typical Schmidt protagonist (a walking encyclopedia of an old codger), two delightful 17-year-old girls, a visiting American Secretary of State nicknamed Isis, and many more. If you've read & like Schmidt, you'll love this (once again heroically translated by the amazing John E. Woods). And if you don't know Schmidt, you don't know one of the greatest writers of the 20th century--which means you have some catching up to do, and may as well start here.

Direct and simple enough to be quickly read by a wide audience, discusses the basic stages of team evolution (forming, storming, norming and performing), roles, processes, and priorities in establishing a productive and cooperative team environment. Very appropriate for today's fast paced, evolving work place.

This is wide-ranging collection of Winnicott's writings on assorted topics of childhood and adolescence. It is especially important as a set of historic writings. His kindness and intelligence prevails. Winnicott was a child psychoanalyst with an especially tender heart, and his love of children, and respect for the efforts of families - often against unnerving odds - is obvious. However, it should be noted that some of his theories, while advanced in good faith and respected at the time they were introduced, have been disproven over the years. For example, enuresis (bed-wetting) is now known to be something that psychoanalysis does not "cure." (It is often inherited, and afflicted children outgrow it, period.) His articles on adolescence, written more than thirty years ago, are not "current," but still valuable. Winnicott's discussion of autism, while humane and well-meaning and enlightened for its time, is also somewhat off the mark, in light of contemporary findings on autism. Nonetheless, there is much that is valuable in this collection of papers. "The Niffle," with its report on a discussion about God that a small boy has with his father, reminds the reader again that Winnicott was not only capable of great love and understanding, but of awe.

Definitely worth reading.

Great pictures, lots of action. Even you won't get tired of reading this one over and over, you will discover something new everytime you little one wants to read it! Lots of fun!
