Has had a profound impact on my life.
This book, more than any other that I have read, has given me a "compass" for my life. For me, Stringfellow has melded a fresh interpretation of both Christianity and humanity into a compelling ethical framework for the human journey. It is not easy to read, not a fast read, but very profound in its message.

Magnificent.
This is a book that grew in power from chapter to chapter. Here are some quotes that I think speak for themselves. "The task of imagination is to imagine the real." "The imagination is particularly well suited to form a pathway to reality because it can keep opposites together in a thought-provoking analogy or in a metaphor packed with new insight, or in a masterfully constructed story." "Truths that are mysterious, paradoxical and ironic become integrated into a person's life not through argument, but through action. These types of truths are 'higher than reason.' Having done the truth, that person now knows it from the inside." "Imagination liberates the person from the confines of the self." "Because imagination is the power through which a person escapes from the self and becomes actively related to the world, Schelling sees imagination as a form of love." "Art is not primarily 'self-expression,' but a sort of self-identification with another. That activity not only enhances the self, it constitutes a sort of report on a reality that has come in touch with the human." "Imagination gives expression to what lies deepest within the human: the spiritual life of will and reason as they strike a harmony with universal reason and the absolute will of God. The imagination, at its most profound, seeks to give expression to that harmony with God." If you love these quotes, you'll love this book.

Rob is a genius - metaphorically speaking
If you like crazy metaphors worked into the pages of a book like spillt lunch, you've got to give Rob Smith's stuff a gander. He writes well, he conceives interesting plots, and he throws it all together like a thousand monkeys banging on a thousand typewriters. I love all of his books, and seeing as I've met the author, I can vouch for his character and his good taste in cologne.

One of the best books I've ever read!
This is one of the best books I've ever read on personal emotions and how we can actually have control over them. The pop psychology of today does little to empower victims of abuse or crime. However, the information and truths in this book could emotionally free most anyone, if the principles are put into practice. I wonder if the youth of today were taught these principles, and could grasp the radical changes in thinking they represent, how dramatically changed our inner cities would be? An individual's violent reactions can be controlled! We DO have choices over how we emotionally respond to others. I hope you can read this book--it gave me a radical conversion of my thoughts towards some of life's bitter realities and freed me from some of my own victim mentality

Bring Someone to Christ
If you want to win someone to Christ, give them this book. Better yet, study this book with them. It explains fully why we need to be saved and how we get saved. It is an excellent book for so-called Christians who have been taught to believe they can earn their way to heaven. Enjoy!

Authors: Gary William Kuhne and Dr. Gary W. Kuhne

A Great Guide for Grounding New Believers in Christ
Dr. Kuhne reminds us of the importance in mentoring new believers, grounding them in their new found faith. He emphasizes the necessity of personal follow up to build a good foundation in Christ. He points out that the Church has replaced personal follow up with small group studies. Although Kuhne strongly believes in small groups, he explains that new believers will not participate unless they are self-motivated. In personal follow up, the committed believers take the initiative to bring the new believers to a point where they will be motivated. The second half of the book lays out a plan of ten follow up appointments that take new believers from assurance of salvation to a point where they can share their own faith.

The set of books to read about the Saint
This first volume of a projected 3 volume edition of documents pertaining to the life and order of Saint Francis will easily become the source for all followers of Christ through the inspiration of this timeless saint. It provides the best translations and most recent scholarship on the life and times of the saint. In many way St. Francis is the most universal and beloved of Chirstian saints. Often called to second Christ as his life exemplifies the ideals of Christian service. Highly recommended.

The Friendship Cross Is Soooo Cool!!
We don't play soccer, well we almost played field hockey but we didn't make the team. but that doesn't matter, because this book is really about best friends even if they don't play soccer, and we're best friends. Alice and Tiffany are our names and we love this book. because even if you lie sometimes you didn't mean to be bad and your friends can forgive you and God still loves you.
