THIS IS A BOOK THAT HISPANICS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH CAN REALLY ENJOY AND LEARN HOW TO CURE THEIR HOUSES USING FENG SHUI. I HIGLY RECOMEND THIS BOOK FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE MARVELOUS RESULTS FENG SHUI CAN GIVE TO THEIR USERS.

WASTE of MONEY! Most of the contents in this book are covered in greater details in another book with the title "Chinese Numerolgy". I returned this book for a refund after buying it.

This book is good for anyone interested in a new way of making talismans. The main focus of the book is the use of magic squares. The author also gives good background information as to where these talismans are used and where they began.

This is a little book with a simple and easy to use system of divination and spell work. You can pick it up and within minutes you will be doing divinatory squares for yourself, family and friends. These squares are like potato chips, once you start, you can't stop. You will also be able to use the squares to create charms and talismans for prosperity, luck and much more. All you need is paper, pencil and "Talisman Magic." Recommended.

I picked this book up in the bookstore one day. The title sounded great. I turned to a section were he discussed using a bodhran (a celtic drum) in a spell and I realized that he must never have tried it himself since a bodhran has at least one or two cross pieces which would make it impossible to use as he described. Maybe I'm picky but I won't buy or recommend a cookbook where I knew the receipes hadn't been kitchen tested. I decided to save my money.

A lot of people hated this book, but I don't think it's that bad...It's a basic guide to the Oghams, Druid sticks & divination using these items. It covers a lot of subjects and is easy for the beginner to understand. I feel that the historical information was pretty sound, as far as I can tell from other books I've read on the subject.
Recommended for beginners.

An excellent book covering several sources of Celtic and Indo-European divination systems. The information on Oghams is quite satifactory to learn and get started. The information of geomancy is indispensible for those interested in the divination, and not the endless rhetoric and lore attributed to the classical ceremonial application. The sky stones are an excellent simple divination tool. (An interesting footer note, in the book the author claims to always carry his sky stones, but when asked in person, he didn't have them. The author is a scholar, not necessarily a widely practiced adept, though this takes nothing away from his work!)

I had a good laugh reading this book. Now I finally know that if I and my partner split up, I will have to blame the overhead beams in our bedroom or the bed that is accessible only from one side, or the tiles in my bathroom, or...or...

By putting the blame on factors other than ourselves, this kind of book offers us an alibi for the mistakes we make.

I'm sure there is a way to live in harmony with mother Nature, ourselves, and our partners and friends but don't look for it in this book because you are not going to find it.

I have recently read the Portuguese version of this book. It was my first contact with Feng Shui. I had once tried another book, but it got boring before I could get any useful information. Mr. Webster's book is easy to read and follow, has just the right amount of information to make you curious to learn more, and is a very nice way to spend some quality time. It is fun and interesting. After reading this book, I already bought two more books on the subject. I think that he never really intended for it to be the final word about that theme, but he surely shared some practical information. In my opinion, it fulfills its purpose and makes us more attentive to the flow of energy around us, and in all areas of our lives. My teenager children loved it too. And even checked their own rooms for things that could be disturbing harmony or cluttering corners. As a mom, I call that a success! And as a woman I say: encore! :)

I got this book hoping for a good introduction to Java; I got a garbage-y book and a useless CD-ROM. First of all, the version of the software on the CD does NOT work. I wasted hours trying to relate it to the software described in the book; and it's not even the same thing!!!! If you want us to buy a full version of a compiler, FINE...but please stick to what's on the CD, otherwise the whole damn thing is useless. I went out and got J++ 6.0 and the J++ Programmer's Guide (both from Microsoft) instead, and it is ten million times better. Don't waste your money on this book; in this case, go with Microsoft.

Worthless, at least to a beginner. The code in the samples and on the disk don't match up, the code contradicts instructions given in the text, unexplained logical leaps are plentiful, and the copy editing is shameful considering these people are accepting money for this thing. Bad, bad, bad! Run, don't walk, as far away from this book as you can!

This would be a 5 star book had the version of Roaster™ provided been a full or at least usable version!

Mr.Levin's thinking can hardly be charicterized as rational. I was in a course of his at UC Davis, in which I experienced his thinking first-hand. His logic and his anything-but-linear mode of thought would drive even the most patient individual absolutely nuts. I dropped his course after 2 and a half weeks, but sometimes at night it still haunts me. This book is not recommended either.
