Year of the Cat : The Hunt *review*
I first found the Year of the Cat trilogy seven years ago at the local library. I loved the book when I first read it. I reccomend this book to anyone interested in the supernatural and mystery.

Major Changes
I started this series when I was 13 and 1/2 and I fell in love with it . Though I will add the 3rd book gets a little confusing . ( It also took me 2 years to find it ) I ended up finding it at the local libariy in Indiana ( I`am from CA.)Anyway the second book is the most importent in this 3 book series . This is where everything changes and true agendas are showen . Well most of them . It shows who Alex truly is. A cold , unremorseful , savage , self centered maniac. Who relishes using the gift for evil. Yet , you also see a different side of Holly. A young women with a gift of evil and fights it to protect the ones she loves. This book is such a dramtic turnig point in the series . It`s a must read and forgive me if I don`t make it sound like a great book . It is , there `s just so much you`ll find it`s hard to put in words.

The Greatest book ever!!!
I think this story is da bomb!@!!!It's the perfect book bacause it's about panthers(whom I love)and its not THAT scary!!!

Compiled and written by Daniel Lauber with the assistance of Kraig Rice, International Job Finder: Where The Jobs Are Worldwide is a straightforward presentation with all the facts and all the dirt on jobs that involving living and working abroad. More than pays for itself!
Like that review from Joyce Lain Kennedy suggests, they don't get any better than this. If you want an international job, this is THE book that will help you find the one you crave. The table of contents and indices will get you to the online and print resources that are targeted to your line of work, whether it be teaching English abroad, working in business, high tech, education, nonprofits, or government work. More than pays for itself in saved time -- and it includes a free offer for a ... directory called "American Jobs Abroad."

Excellent Suspense Romance Book
When I first picked up Intimate Intentions I was kind of skeptical because of the number of pages. But once I started reading the story I was hooked. The story introduces us to Sasha Moore a top model who has stop modeling to reach her goal to open up her own Bridal Gown shop. But when she is turned down for a loan she decides to model for Diva Designs to earn the money that she needs. When she meets the new CEO she may get more than what she bargains for.

Terraine Andrews has come back to Diva Designs after his grandfather has died. He hires Sasha to promote a line of business for the company. But he was shocked at his emotions when he sees her. He must also discover who has murdered one of his models and protect Sasha from becoming the next victim.

This was an excellent who-done-it story. There was so many suspects to the murders of the models. It will truly keep you turning the pages to see if you were right. And when everything is revealed you will be totaly shocked. All of the secondary characters bring everything together.

The extra love story between Terraine's brother Jay and Sasha's friend Honey did not take away from the main story. It just leaves you wanted the author to write their on story.

If Mrs Daniels keeps writing books like Intimate Intentions, she will definitely be around for a while.

Romance, Drama, and Mystery
If you are a romantic at heart, then this book was written just for you. Intimate Intentions by Angie Daniels is a wonderful story with a mixture of romance, steamy drama, mystery and intrigue all in one incredibly written book. Ms. Daniels not only outdid herself with the story line, she has redefined the romance novel. I was unable to put the book down after reading the first page. Intimate Intentions not only holds your interest until the very last page, you are drawn into solving the mystery, and cheering for the lead characters until the very end of the book.

Meet Sasha Moore, a model that has finally called it quits until she is turned down for a loan to start her own wedding designer business. To earn the money necessary to finance her venture, she has no other choice but to return to modeling. She accepts a contract with Diva Designs after their featured model is murdered. She soon learns there is more to modeling for Diva Designs when she meets their CEO, Terraine Andrews. Together with two unsolved murders of models associated with Diva Designs along with finding out that her ex- boyfriend Robby, who traumatized her in the past, has recently been released from a mental hospital; she realizes that she is in the midst of a stormy discovery of self and the people around her, including the killer.

Meet Terraine Andrews, CEO of Diva Designs, who is forced to return to run the business after his grandfather passes away. Even though he never saw eye to eye with his grandfather, he feels a deep obligation to continue the showcase success of Diva Designs his grandfather built. Unfortunately, when two of his models are murdered one by one, he has much more facing him than the continued success of the business. Not only must he find out who the killer is before more innocent people are murdered, he must also deal with a welcomed romantic awakening with Sasha and realize that he must protect her at all costs.

Adding to the saga is Honey, Sasha's best friend and roommate, who has everyone believing she is so together, when in reality she is in denial of tragic events in the past that has hindered her desire for commitment. Jay Andrews, Terraine's brother, is a private investigator who plays a prominent role in helping solve the mystery surrounding the deaths of the models. Jay also realizes there is more to his feelings toward Honey than being a good friend. Natalie, fashion

director of Diva Designs, has only one agenda, to marry Terraine, who she has tried to deceive in the past. Then there is Robby, recently released from a mental hospital, who still harbors an obsession for his ex-girlfriend, Sasha. They, along with other characters in the book, makes this story line a wonderful page turner. Finally, the icing on the cake, if you will, is the mystery surrounding the identity of the killer. You won't be disappointed. Ms. Daniels wraps it up with a very intense, descriptive ending that will lead you to wondering if there will be a sequel. I highly recommend this book and give it a rating of 5.

Romance, Drama and Suspense at it's Best!
Sasha Moore wanted to pursue her dream of having her own line of bridal gowns. Sasha a retired model was in a crunch to start her business, so she took a modeling job with Diva Designs. She was replacing a model from Diva Designs named Deja, who was found murdered. Sasha was intrigued by the company president Terraine. She didn't know he was the president when she met him at a nightclub. She was kind of turned off by him when she found out that he was the president of the company. But he was so handsome, she just couldn't help but be attracted to him.

Terraine Andrews inherits the family business. The company is not doing well. He and his grandfather had an argument some years before and he was some what estranged from him. His grandfather dies and Terraine steps in to try help the family business. Terraine is attracted to Sasha's beauty and intellect. He is usually a player, but she makes him want more out of life. They really find that they have alot to talk about. Terraine (Tee) is really concerned when another Diva model is found murdered. Who could be doing this and why?

Intimate Intentions was a book that was kind of like Detective Columbo and Murder She Wrote movie of the week. There were so many people that I was thinking was the killer. I then found out that the person I was thinking was not it. Then you have some underhanded things going in the business itself. Their god-sister was very nasty.

Ms. Daniels did a good job with her debut novel. This book was full of surprises. I hope she will purse Jay (Tee's brother) and Honey's (Sasha's best friend) story. There is definitely a story there. Hat's off to Ms. Daniels.

The Shadow Billionaire.
Daniel Ludwig started out a poor boy in Michigan and rose to
be one of the worlds richest shipping tycoons. This is the
story of someone achieving the rags to riches american dream
as well as a thrilling story about entrepreneurship. Onassis
was his only rival. A secret I was unaware of was the fact that
it was Rockefeller money that financed the building of his ships.
This an entertaining read about a billionaire almost as secretive
as Howard Hughes was in his final years.

The Invisible Billionaire: Daniel K. Ludwig
I have begun to read this book which is great but lost before ending reading it.

The Lady and the Tigers
I've been searching for this out of print book for decades and have found a few over the years but with it being a highly sought after title and out of print for so long I couldn't justify the cost of an original copy. Now I don't have to since this reprint and new edition with more information added is available. This is a great book on a great group done like no other on the AVG-Flying Tigers. An inside point of view from Olga Greenlaw, the only female (a timeless beauty I might add)of the group that defended Rangoon, the Burma Road and China in the very early days of WWII. This book gets into details and personalities that most of the other books on the Tigers only touch upon. The author herself is a mystery in most of the other books on the AVG but she's fully revealed in this one. The one photo of her on the waterfront, slit skirt and all may be worth the cover price alone.
No fan of the Flying Tigers should be without this book.

The no-sweat history of the Flying Tigers
Highly recommend! Not only is Olga Greenlaw a handsome lady (check out the legs in that photo on the waterfront in Shanghai!) but she writes a rollicking good yarn. If you're new to the Flying Tigers this is a great way to get an overvue of the group that saved China and almost saved Burma from the Japanese. She was there, unlike most of the people who wrote the histories of the Tigers, and she was writing with her diary in front of her. If she makes a mistake, Mr. Ford quietly corrects it [like this]. The editing is helpful but never annoying.

Plus Olga Greenlaw is a fascinating woman in her own right. Many are the stories written about her and flying tiger pilots like Pappy Boyington. Mr. Ford sets us straight on this matter also. Olga, he says, didn't sleep around nearly as much as people like to believe. There's a very convincing history of Olga's early years and how she came to be with the Flying Tigers, and also an account of what became of her afterward.

Something for every WWII aviation buff to have on his shelf!

a great book lives again
I don't think I ever enjoyed creating a book as much as this one. Olga Greenlaw wrote it in 1943 and promptly vanished from sight. Whatever happened to her? I was able to find out, and to garner some great photos from her earlier life in Mexico and China. So here's her book again, edited from the perspective of 60 years, and with a foreword and afterword to explain where the Greenlaws came from and what happened to them after their tumultuous year with the AVG. -- Dan Ford

A must-have book
At $12.98 this book is a real gift, I can't think of better spent money. The photos are beautiful and exciting, the book looks very professional. You will find help on many different topics, from the first moves to competitive snowboarding, from how to get off a lift to hot to wax and sharpen your stick. I have bought many snowboarding books but none of them surprised me as much as "Let it Rip." If on your budget there is place for only one book, then there is no doubt that this is the right one. The price would be excellent if it was a softcover book, instead you get a hardcover, I don't think you can find a better deal.

Let It Rip: Thae Ultimate Guide to Snowboarding
I think it is a great book, I encourage other snowboarders to read this book. It is great.

The best book
I live snowboarding, all i ever want to do is snowboard. This book taught me a couple of tricks now I have something for the slope.

One of the best picture books ever about these events
Daniel Weinberg is a gentleman and a scholar, as well as the proprietor of the Abraham Lincoln Bookshop in Chicago. His great talent for acquiring and interpreting artifacts of the Lincoln era shines in this book, which includes some of the best-ever images ever published of the conspirators who helped John Wilkes Booth plan an attempted kidnapping of President Lincoln, and, later, assisted Booth in aspects of his murder plot in April 1865. Weinberg and his fellow historian (James Swanson, who contributes a masterful text, setting the pictures in context) provide a richly illustrated historical tapestry in this generously made coffeetable book. If you want to know what life was like after their arrest for David Herold, Sam Arnold, Samuel Mudd, Lewis Powell and their cohorts, you need look no further than this extraordinary volume. Any Lincoln library that does not include this book lacks an essential new cornerstone.

Absolutely the BEST book I've ever seen on this subject!
On April 13th I went on a John Wilkes Booth Escape Route tour in
Clinton, Maryland, and just by sheer luck, Mr. Swanson was in attendance and though it was the 3rd time I'd been on the tour, it was the best. He is a most enthralling person and though I didn't know who he was for almost an hour, he was obviously very knowlegeable on the subject of the assassination. He was kind enough to sign a copy of his book for me that I purchased in the Surratt Society bookstore and wrote a very lengthy and personal note in it-but I'm rambling- The book is simply fabulous-The text is extremely informative and the photos are the best I've ever seen-some are very rare and have never been published before-This book is a MUST for anyone interseted in either the Civil War or the Lincoln assassination- it's definitley top drawer and well worth ever cent-I can't recommend it highly enough!

Filled with period photographs and historical records
Lincoln's Assassins: Their Trial And Execution is a cold, clear look at the aftermath of a crime that forever changed American history. President Lincoln's assassination and the subsequent execution of his killer, John Wilkes Booth, is a well known event, but afterward, in the spring and summer of 1865, a military commission tried eight other people as conspirators in Booth's plot to murder Lincoln and other officials. Filled with period photographs and historical records as well as comprehensive, detailed text, Lincoln's Assassins is a fascinating and even disturbing close analysis of a time of turmoil and mourning across America. A welcome and invaluable addition to Lincoln historical studies and reference collections.

Literature Circles
A tremendous help if you are considering introducing lit circles into your reading program. Especially important were templates for discussion group roles and a most helpful FAQ section. This book is all you need to get started. Easy to understand and implement.

Awesome!
Harvey Daniels' book, Literature Circles, allowed me to start lit. circles in my classroom. I never would have tried this cutting edge educational technique without his book. He gives advice and worksheets, but also lets real teachers talk for themselves and how it works in their classrooms. The book also details, through real life examples, how lit. circles can work in the K-12 curriculum of any classroom, and in any school. This is an excellent book for lit. circle beginners.

A superb guide to implementing Literature Circles!
In this book, Harvey Daniels provides a step-by-step approach to implementing Literature Circles in any classroom. After experimenting with many different approaches to book discussion groups, I found this book and everything just fell into place! My students were very enthusiastic when I began to implement the techniques described by Harvey Daniels. I was amazed to see them discuss books with such excitement and genuine interest. They enjoyed choosing books according to their interests and leading their own discussion groups. I have recommended this book to many teachers since I discovered it last year. It is the most comprehensive and well-written book I have found on the topic of Literature Circles.

Best study Bible!
I love this Bible - I make sure this is the Bible our church gets for our graduation gifts for the seniors every year - it's also the Bible I bought my wife. The print is clear, and it's a durable Bible with lots of accurate notes.

A wealth of info, a great buy!
This study Bible is one of the best versions out there. It is very easy to follow and understand. It has outlines and footnotes that allow you to apply each verse to everyday life.

BEST STUDY BIBLE AVAILABLE
I am a Seminary student and have gone through many study bibles. However, this work by W.A. Criswell is by far the best in the business.

fundamental concepts on a silver tray
A good book does not need to be complex. This one does a great job. You could read this book during one hour and learn more than in one semester of COS111. It is so simple. Comcepts are the most important thing to learn. They give meaning to programing. Without concepts, programing becomes meaningless.

As clear as it gets!
This book explains the "magic" of computer programming as clearly as can be done. Outstanding use of graphics to illustrate difficult concepts. Concrete analogies to "real world" objects make the virtual world of programming much easier to wrap your mind around.

Outstanding introduction for middle-school, high school, even beginning college level students. Very clearly written, not a lot of unnecessary words - just the right level of explanation to get you thinking in the right direction and to see what the graphics are illustrating. My 13-year old loved it, and finally understands a bit more of what his Dad does all day. I've been doing this for 15 years -- and even I got a better grasp of some things.

Highly recommended.

on my list of top 10 computer science books
this book is a fine introduction to computing. imagine a book with cogent, well-illustrated explanations of topics like (1) what a variable is (2) linked lists (3) pointers....

...that also discussed the plusses and minusses of various computer languages....

...and that was useful to a professional programmer, and entertaining for his 13-year-old kid.

that's this book. i occasionally teach introductory programming classes, and i've used this book as a source of handouts and overheads (within the bounds of "fair use" and the copyright laws, of course. :-) ) in my early days as a developer, i also pulled it off of the shelf more than once when i needed a quick graphical metaphor for something that i was trying to understand.
