I bought this book for my sons to "give" to their father on Father's day, but wanted to read it first. It is so simple, yet profound, that I bought two more copies and put them away for my boys, when they are young men.

If there is one book you give to a male christian family member or friend this year make it this one. Steve cuts to the chase and tells it clear and real, yet shows the hope that God gives, no matter what our past, or present. Full of encouragement and practical advice.

Warning ! This book may not help you, it certainly won't hurt you, but it definitely won't leave you the way it found you ! For anyone - -men in particular- -who want to walk with integrity, honor, and in faithful commitment to God and family, this book is for you. This is not a simple generic 'self-help' book. It is a comprehensive step-by-step checklist for men who want to be faithful. It will either act as a prescription checkup or a prediction 'checkout'. Farrar makes it very clear with numerous real examples from the past and present that there is no middle ground. If you want to win, a price has to be paid. "Finishing Strong" is not for wimps. It is for the real man who knows his own strengths, and, more importantly, his own weaknesses.

I read this book as part of a class assignment and found the book applicable in MANY ways for women, with minor adjustment. Additionally, it provided a great deal of insight to the male perspective. I would encourage women to read this book, especially single women looking for "Mr. Right"...be sure he has a "Master's in Character Acquisition" and is "teachable". For long time now I had been hunting for some book which would help me in overcoming criticsm at work and home. I found none for sometime and finally bought this one. The topics on Critiscm and how to cope with it are alone worth the money and to my astonishing knowledge I did find that particular paragraph of how to cope with critiscm seems to passing around as mails within my friends circle. That's really great.

This is a great book on juicing for health. It's very educational, teaching you about many aspects of juicing. Practical aspects of juicing, such as what to look for in juicers, washing vegetables etc are also discussed. Health benefits of different fruits, vegetables and supplements are presented. And of course, dozens of juices are prescribed for different health objectives such as healing, rejuvination of body and mind, etc.

Power Juices Super Drinks is a wonderful book, full of useful information that is well- presented and easy to access. It is an inspiring treasure of information on healing foods and herbs, and their benefits for treating and preventing diseases.

The material is presented clearly, with lightness and humor, which Steve Meyerwitz is known for! A major part of the book presents drinks, which may be teas, smoothies, citrus juices or other kinds of vegetable or fruit juices, for specific conditions. There are chapters on power drinks for the physical body, for the mind, and for longevity. The longest chapter, called "Power drinks - Medicine Chest", details nutritional therapies and recipes for 115 different health disorders.

A tremendous resource on high power foods and herbs, is the chapter titled, "Nature's Finest Healing Foods and Herbs". It is this chapter which inspired me to start growing and eating broccoli sprouts, which contain fantastic amounts of valuable phytochemicals (plant derived substances). One type of phytochemicals is glucosinolates; Enzymes in the body convert these chemicals to isothiocyanates. One isothiocyanate, sulforaphane, is the strongest natural inducer of our body's own protective enzymes against carcinogens. These substances have been shown to reduce the incidence, rate of development, and the size of tumors. Broccoli sprouts contain 20 to 50 times more sulforaphane than the average adult broccoli plant! In three days you can raise a crop of broccoli sprouts containing as much sulforaphane as an acre of broccoli would yield in a year! This chapter is a complete pharmacopoeia of common foods and herbs, full of illuminating information.

Another very worthwhile chapter is titled, "Nutrient Sources". This chapter lists vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, and provides food sources that are loaded with them. Good sources of calories, carbohydrates, fats and protein are also listed.

People of all nutritional persuasions will appreciate this book. It can provide tasty new healthy drinks and teas for those just starting their journey towards natural healing. For the already enthusiastic, it can educate and deepen their understanding of many high-powered health foods.

This is a great book for any Cleveland Indians fan! I just Wish Lindy Powers would do more books on other sports teams as well! Would love to see some hockey teams do a book like this. Really awesome shots of the players and their families.

This is a great addition to any baseball fans library. Just wish there were more teams that would put out a book like this.

I purchased this book as a second thought, and found out I got more than I bargained for. The level of expertise and experience with God impressed me initially, but it was the depth of each topic presented by each of the authors that shocked me. When dealing with God and spiritual subjects in books, there are so many approaches, and many that are really weird, but in this book the contributing authors do much to show by scriptures and experience the reality of the need for the church to be seeking God's power, holiness, and evangelistic outreach to the human race. This is not a book of testimonies alone, but scriptures and the reality of the topics listed in the title. Another book that assisted me in certain sections of this book was I Give You Authority by Charles Kraft. Though much different in subject, it assisted me in understanding some things that are occurring in the South American churches. I highly recommend this book for one's bookself, not only for reading, but as a text book for what is happening in Christianity today.

The chapters are written by individuals from various backgrounds who are sensing the Holy Spirit drawing them into a closer relationship with God. This purity of heart has been documented in past and present revivals around the world.

I gained a lot of insights from this book. It methodically treats RF power amplifier in a way that develops understanding of the fundamentals. I particulary like the explanation on the Load-Pull Countours/Theory (Ch 2), Matching Network Design for Reduced Conduction Angle PAs(Ch 3), and the Two-Tone Envelope Analysis (Ch 7). In short, thanks to this book, the way I look at PAs has been transformed: from nebulous beliefs and assumptions to insights and better understanding. An excellent source of information. Mr Cripps very articulatly reviews at all classes of RF power amplification, and explains theoretical design principles and suggests improvements. His 'Load-pull' technique method is already widely used in design of PA's and serves as a good design aid. Although I would have liked him to go deeper into 'high-efficiciency PA techniques, spending more time on 'Chierix, Khan and Doherty methods. His book is the best reference on PA's I have seen in the last decade, I could not put it down. I look forward to his next book

Everyone will benefit from this book. Steve Rizzo shows the reader how to laugh off fear, find humor in change and take a stressful situation and make it easier to deal with. This book would be especially beneficial to people who need to overcome some obstacle in their lives. Steve Rizzo shows us how to use humor to help with the most serious of topics. I especially like the personal story style of the book. It really helps the reader find a connection between the author's life and their own. Like I said in my title, Now I want to become a humor being!

This book saved me a lot of time. Very good discussion on establishing your buying criteria, how to buy used or new, gasoline vs. diesel, sail vs. power, negotiating skills, how to estimate a boat's value, timing purchase/sale. Alltogether excellent, highly recommended!!
