What A Story!
This book recounts, in meticulous and fascinating detail, the inside, untold story of the famous architect, and the not-yet-famous educators who dreamed of a home of their own that would grow with and around their young family. A wonderful read, full of personalities and the unexpected challenges of this daring young couple's audacious undertaking of building an "outside the box" home in the 1930s. Hanna Honeycomb house underwent careful reinforcement after it was severely damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, and is once again available for docent tours. Contact Stanford University, where the home, long ago called "a monstrosity" by other faculty, remains a viable part of the education institution that sustained and grew the young homeowners and their infamous architect. The ashes of the writers, Jean and Paul Hanna, remain lovingly buried on the property, near the home they dreamed, built, adored, and shared with the world.

Powerful, earthen tones
In a stunning edition limited to only 500 copies, Frank Paul Sauerwein is the result of a collaborative effort by Michael R. Grauer (Rio Grande Trust), Elaine Maher Harrison (Rio Grande Press), and Steve Holmes (Burro Alley) and provides the reader with a vividly enhanced biography and analysis of Frank Paul Sauerwein, a master painter of the American Southwest who lived from 1871-1910. A Foundation Builder
This book started a turning point in my Christian walk. It is firmly grounded in Biblical truths and it is easy to understand. Each chapter explained a common misconception or problem and what the Bible has to say about it. Although the last section of the book discussing the different disorders wasn't what I was needing, the first 2 sections really hit home. As a new Christian, it layed a foundation that was solidly based on scripture. It dispelled misconceptions that I had and even brought up a few that I didn't know I had! I believe that this book has something for everyone. This a book that I will refer back to often.

Hunting American Lions
Published in Hardcover by High Lonesome Books (1995)
Authors: Frank C. Hibben and Paul Bransom
Amazon base price: $20.00

Back to the old days
This book takes you back to the days of Dale Lee and Ben Lilly and tells stories of how they hunted lions. It is a book for those who are intersted in hearing old stories and tales of some of the greatest lion hunters ever. As you read you find yourself standing on the rim rock looking into the jagged country and hearing the dogs baying and working the track across the canyon bottom. It is a very good read for lion hunters of today because Hibben puts into words what we expereince on a day to basis chasing lions in the rough and tough back country. It is also a great book for those who have ever wondered what it would be like to hunt lions with dogs or those who think hound hunting is not a sport. Once you have read this book hopefully you will have a better understanding of one of the greatest traditions in North America.

Outstanding Handling of New Testament Ethical Issues
This book was used to teach a New Testament Ethics Seminar at the Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary in Taipei, Taiwan. The students found the author to be stimulating and fair in his handling of ethical issues related to the New Testament. Although the author made several suppositions based upon critical issues about dating, order and authorship, he insightfully presents a balanced comparative ethical summary of the material. He skillfully identifies key issues and then cogently presents them.

Excellent work on Paul and the law
Thielman's book is one of the most helpful treatments on this crucial area of biblical studies. His introduction, wherein he gives a thorough and concise treatment on the history of the debates, is alone worth the price of the book. He then takes the reader through all of the Pauline letters, examining their background, presuppositions, and arguments as it relates to Paul's both positive and negative view of the law. Thielman is a master at arguing convincingly for his position without wasting ink--and he is almost always a sure-footed guide through much rocky terrain. In my opinion, this is the best book available today on Paul's view of the law (with Tom Schreiner's _The Law and Its Fulfillment_ as a close second).
