This is a Book for every Architect, and if you are a fan of Botta's architecture, you MUST buy this Book, you might think that is a little expensive, but believe me, it's worth it. It has lots of photos, blueprints and it is very well written. This book is the best way to understand Botta's Architecture.

Riveting Realism of the Conflicts in Southeast Asia
A must read for anyone wanting an honest, documented, and exciting story about what it was like being a war correspondent in Vietnam and Cambodia. What is outstanding about Leslie's writing is that he doesn't give in to the journalism game of giving the editors what they want to hear---He tells it like it is, and has a genius for getting his truth through the red-tape. His courage in going to the Viet-Cong for their view of the real reason of the war is absolutely the best exposure yet written about the United States senseless involvement in trying to be a strong-arm for the Saigon elite. Sincerely, Franklin D. Rast, Author-"Don's Nam," and "Ghosts In The Wire."

Prophetic and Compelling
In this remarkable piece of original theology, Ellul convincingly argues that the city exists as a theological category in Biblical thought. True to his own dialectical approach, he contends that the city is simultaneously an instrument of human rebellion and also a Divinely elected instrument of hope for humanity. This is a prophetic, compelling and ultimately hopeful foundation for a theology with which to engage the modern phenomena of urbanization.
Memoirs of the Blind: The Self-Portrait and Other Ruins

Drawing Conclusions at the the Louvre
This book is both an exhibtion catalogue to a show Derrida curated at the Louvre of drawings on the theme of blindness (complete with many reproductions of works) as well as a brillant investigation into the art of drawing by dealing with blindness as evidence of 'blindness' itself in every act of looking (and of course reproduction). As stated by Derrida, "every drawing of 'the blind' is a drawing 'of' the blind." More than just an example of applied deconstruction, Derrida's reading of these drawings questions the very foudnation of western ideologies of 'looking' and 'seeing' taken for granted as self-evident by artists for centuries. By the end, one wonders who is the author, the artist, the curator?, as Derrida does more with these drawings 'for drawing' than they ever did for drawing themselves. This book is a necessity for any visual artist producing critical work in the 21st century.

This is a seminal book in molecular evolutionary theory.
Ninio's "Molecular Approaches to Evolution" helped establish the concept of "sequence space" and encouraged rigorous, elegant, but fun, approaches to the study of molecular evolution long before it became a fad. The prose makes clear extremely difficult topics in a delightful, and deeply satisfying way. But be careful - reading this book is likely to make you a zealous molecular evolutionist.

Thoroughly Brilliant
In this one of many brilliant books by Ellul, he exposes the folly of a purely collective, societal approach, such as that offered by communism, or capitalism. Instead, through a study of various Biblical references in the Old and New Testament, puts the responsibilty on the individual. The new covenant of Jesus is compared to the Old Testament pattern of wealth as a sign of blessing. He examines the teaching of Jesus on God and Mammon. Contemporary models of stewardship are exposed as inadequate. Further, he clearly shows the underlying power money has over a person, despite any feelings of control we may think we have. The teachings of Jesus about giving and trusting provide the path to freedom - every hair is numbered. Only by God's grace and transforming love are we able to overcome this subtle and insidious power. Highly recommended, especially at a time in our history when many have lost faith in the market.

Jacques Black's "The money-spinners"
The book that first inspired my interest in gambling, this is the best text ever written on gambling by an Englishman. Black details methods to win at roulette by locating mechanically imperfect wheels, at poker by skill and mathematics, and at blackjack and baccarat by the application of "card-counting" techniques. He also debunks gambling fallacies. Throughout the work, Black displays a perceptive knowledge of the mathematics of gambling, which he conveys simply and with genuine enthusiasm.
For those people who think "you can't win at gambling", this book might be a real eye-opener.

Moulin Rouge is a big kick!
A thorough, exhaustive research has been put into this book and the excitment is captured very well. "The Moulin Rouge" is a love letter not only to the establishment itself, but it gives great detail to the origins of the can-can which made the Moulin Rouge famous. It is to me as thrilling as a high can-can kick! Highly reccommended.
