Tools and techniques are presented in painstaking detail. I was unable to find a single gap or omission, which speaks highly of the editorial and review process behind this book's 464 pages. While most technical disciplines can dispense with finer details, the nature of forensics is to overlook nothing. If you find the step-by-step thoroughness boring that is an indication that forensics may not be your forte; if you're an experienced professional you'll appreciate the coverage of every technique or use of tools.
While the discussion of tools and techniques will satisfy even the most experienced practitioner, I found the detailed discussion of legal aspects, HR considerations and overall security and incident response processes to be the book's strongest points. This area is what sets forensics experts apart from technicians, and it is here that the book (in my opinion) adds the most value. Procedures ranging from how to properly gather, preserve and control evidence, to legal considerations for designing processes are covered in clear language, as are US and international legal guidelines.
Parts that I especially like include: intrusion management and profiling, up-to-date information on electronic commerce legal issues, the numerous checklists and cited resources, and the clearly delineated process for dealing with incidents.
If you're new to forensics you will probably get more from this book by first reading Computer Forensics: Incident Response Essentials by Kruse and Heiser. If, however, you have previous computer forensics experience or are currently serving in that role this book is probably one of the best investments you can make.
Forced out of her cave, at the palace Brierly meets Megan, another descendent of the Sh'ari. Now she has a goal to find the scattered remnants of her people. To accomplish her quest, Sh'ari depends on her new benefactor the Earl to somehow end the witch-hunts. Though she saved his wife's life, she wonders if can she trust a noble whose job includes the killing of the Sh'ari for she fears she could be leading those she finds into death.
Though somewhat typical of the sub-genre, THE SEA LARK'S SONG, the sequel to MOTHER OCEAN, DAUGHTER SEA, is an exciting female fantasy tale that grips the reader from start to finish because the heroine is an extraordinary individual who both genders will admire. The story line never slows down as the audience tastes the dilemma that frightens Brierly, but does not deter her from ending the genocide and restoring her people to the place of honor they once held. New readers will appreciate this novel that can stand alone, but would gain much more by first reading Diana Marcellas' debut book.

First published in 1973, the 1984 version I read is still very 70's. However, it's also very practical and frugal. If the 1987 version was actually a serious revision, I'd suggest it for people who can't get their minds around an out-of-date planner.
This book includes suggested themes to help pad your ceremony and reception when money can't, clever recipies (cheese and onion pie, a punch that reportedly tastes alcholic, etc.) and a general sense of fun that's missing from many modern planners.
Hunt around for it. Its refreshing.

her life based on a nightmare from her grandmother's past.
Jay Lee travels around the world doing research on marriages of
differnet cultures; her latest assignment has landed her in Africa.
While Jay is overwhelmed by the country's scenic beauty but her
senses are on alert because her supervisor, Trent Prescott is also
in Africa.
Because of a circumspect business deal years ago, the Prescott name
has been taboo in the Lee's house, and Jay is wondering if Trent is
of that same lineage. But Jay throws caution to the wind and soaks
up the country and the man. Once she's home she discovers that Trent
is indeed one of the forbidden Prescotts. How can she explainto her
grandmother what she has done?
My one issue is that the basis of the story and the driving force for
most of Jay's actions were glossed over almost hurriedly. But this
was an interesting story with a message that, it is impossible to
grasp the present if you will not let go of the past.

In my situation, the truth about the affair came out slowly, horribly, over months and months. It included not only betrayal by my spouse, cold-hearted arrogance by the other adulterer, but the discovery of aiders and abettors who were 'supposed' long-term friends of the family. It was so hellish, that when I finally came out of fight or flight mode, settled enough to begin reading recovery books such as 'Repairing Your Marriage', the worst was over. What happened already happened.
This book has a lot of 'you must do this', and 'you must never do that' (while in the throes of it). I couldn't relate to the idea of a 'proper' way to conduct your self after being violently flayed open. Every situation is so very different. There is no real blanket advice. I just couldn't plug the rawness of what happened in my life into the 'clinical experiences', which this book is based upon, and end it all with meditations and visualizations. Couldn't get my teeth into it, even though I appreciated the work that went into creating this book.

While in St Hope Isle on vacation Tracy purchases a few trinkets she thought worthless, thus begins the game of cat and mouse and where the story gets weak. Evan is blackmailed into his boyhood friends scheme to recover one of the trinkets which is not so worthless. Evans chance meeting with Tracy proves an immediate attraction between them and after realizing she is the one who his former friend has set him out to seek in regaining his property, he must do so with caution or ruin his chance for a life with Tracy.
Tracy isn't sure whether she wants to trust Evan or be afraid. However, she feels drawn to Evan. The plot twists and flops between her fear and desires, kidnapping and more fear. Tracy seems to hold Evan responsible for his former friends attempt to reclaim his valuables, she should be a Black women intelligent enough to separate what the man was, from who is is now.
The romance seems hurried and thin, most of the characters are underdeveloped, and in the end you are glad it's over.

Overall the book is a disappointment and points to problems in library and information science (LIS) as a research field. Classification is often regarded as one of the core subdisciplines of the field and as one of the core qualifications of library and information professionals. Nevertheless, no classification researchers are today visible in bibliometric maps of LIS (e.g. White & McCain, 1998)!
One of the problems in this book is that it fails to define classification and to distinguish between different kinds of classification. By only considering systems like Dewey, LC and facetted classifications, it fail to consider, for example, bibliometric approaches in LIS as kinds of classifications and thus to consider the basic strength and weakness of different methods of classification. In computer science the term "ontologies" is very popular and can be considered a modern development in classification research. Vickery (1997) made a useful introduction to this research, but it is not considered in the present book.
If the electronic environment is to be fully considered, one need to compare the relative strength and weakness of all kinds of subject access points (cf., Hjørland & Kyllesbech Nielsen, 2001). One have to consider what utility-if any-classification codes can have in relation to all other kinds of access points.
In Chapter 3 Julian Warner actually do take a step toward considering inherent weaknesses in current approaches to Information Retrieval (IR), and this chapter was in my view the best one. I think he is right in making the point that the IR-tradition has built on the assumption that the system should provide a set of records that satisfy a query. What an IR system in his view should do is to enlarging the users' capacity for informed choice between the representation of objects in the given universe of discourse.
In recent years the methods of classification and more generally: Knowledge organization has been reconsidered. Hjørland & Albrechtsen (1999) claimed that the four basic methods are respectively empiristic, rationalistic, historicist and pragmatic. If one uses, for example bibliometric methods, one applies an empiricist method. The best representatives of the rationalist method are the facetted classifications. An example of the importance of historicist methods are given in Hjørland (2000) considering the classification of the social sciences. An unfolded comparison of all methods used in one domain is given in Hjørland (1998). In my view, the future of classification is connected to a combination of these four methods of classification and to the further clarification of strong and weak aspects of different methods and systems. Unfortunately, these issues are not addressed in the book, while it fail to answer the fundamental questions about the future of classification in LIS.

All in all extremely disappointing. Truly disappointing.
