Simply Amazing
In this biography of the legendary Mother Teresa, one of her co-workers recalls the important events in her life; her call to join the Sisters of Our Lady of Loreto, her assignment to teach in Calcutta, and her subsequent call to consecrate herself to the poor. Captivating stories of a saint who lived amoung us.

Recomended for everyone
The little book was well written and the pictures just enhanced the story. I enjoyed reading it and if you can look past the fact that it is written for children there are a lot of facts that are portrayed in a interesting fashion. I would add it to my collection and would read it again. It was inspiring!

Encouragement for Mothers!
I am so happy to have come across this book! It is attractive and eye-catching, and even better as you investigate it! I am a mother of 5 children, and this book encourages me greatly. I feel like the author understands right where I am, and lives a life similar to mine! Included in the reflections of life as a mother, are meaningful prayers, and real-life, brief stories. The author brings smiles, and provokes appreciation and enjoyment of life. Of course, with the book comes a CD, of music by Mozart. The music is relaxing and soul-lifting! I am planning to buy several more of these books to give to friends! What a boost!

A light and easy read.
This small paperback offers autobiographical information from Mother Teresa. It is sketchy in many spots, but for a book its size, offers good first person dialogue from Mother, and gives an excellent sense of her divine calling.

A Story Book for Spiritual Reading
Mother Teresa was one of the best storytellers of our time. All her talks contained stories from her own life, which she told with passion and fervor. In her informal conversations with her sisters, visitors and guests she always used stories very effectively. These were always short, clear and to the point. She often used events that she herself had experienced or incidents that she had witnessed. In every case there was some wit and wisdom, which made the idea connected with it clear and memorable. They conveyed profound truths about human life and our relationship with the Divine.

This small book contains 109 such stories told by Mother Teresa. They have been compiled and edited by Edward Le Joly and Jaya Chaliha. Le Joly has worked with her for more than three decades and has nearly 25 books to his credit, some of which are on Mother Teresa. He gives a beautiful introduction to this collection. Each story narrated here is precious as it is designed to provide deep insights. Through the different stories the editors have successfully drawn up the story of the life and work of Mother Teresa and her Missionaries of Charity. Her message to the world comes alive through these little anecdotes from that life. This is a wonderful book for spiritual reading, meditation, and reflection.

Two Great Souls in Coversation About Christ
Here is a dialogue between two great souls -- Mother Teresa and Brother Roger -- about the nature and need for prayer in the world, about community in the Body of Christ, about holding Christ in your heart by being of service to others. More than anything, it is a book of prayer and service. Get this book and relish each of the topics. You will find it on your nightstand for many weeks as you read and reread the thoughts and insights of these remarkable people. They are remarkable in that they are like you and me -- except they devoted their lives to service, reconciliation, community, and love for the unloved.

Thank you Teresa
What a great book! I bought this book out of curiousity years again and was overjoyed at the abundance of my childhood memories Teresa had captured in her own recollection. I'm sorry to see that this book is no longer being printed, as I feel that many a mother would appreciate and adore the wisdom of "momsense".

A remarkable testament and highly recommended reading.
Mother Teresa Of Calcutta always taught about kindness and love as she worked in the slums or met with the famous and influential of the world. This inspiring anthology of her simple, profound, thought-provoking stories (compiled by Edward Le Joly and Jaya Chaliha) is simply, beautifully, appropriately illustrated with watercolors by Allan Drummond. The stories include the one of the mother who shared her last grains of rice with the family next door; the children who gave up their prize money to help the orphanage in Calcutta; and many others illustrating Mother Teresa's heartfelt and unwavering belief that even the smallest acts of kindness make the world a better place for everyone. Stories Told By Mother Teresa is a remarkable testament of a remarkable woman and enthusiastically recommended reading for children of all ages (and their parents!).

Glorious Paradox
Suffering into Joy - what a glorious paradox! Incomprehensible, as paradoxes are, yet always, also making the most utter sense. This book holds a message to reach and touch deep in your heart where you hold your hurts, ready to consume and renew them into a most profound and holy joy. I have learned all too much about suffering in the last half year - I was brutally hurt, physically and mentally, by a cruel man in a drawn-out ordeal in December. I have yet to be able to work through my darkness and step into the flames of joy. But this book is a light to hold by. And it is Mother Teresa - her words. There are few people on earth who can think of her frail humble figure without love and reverance. It is a blessing to have her thoughts with you, and a honor to try to follow her footsteps. Buy this book if you are struggling, if you are in pain, or if all your searching for happiness leads only to fruitlessness and bitterness. I hope the glorious paradox will fill you with its perfect and Godly sense.
