A profound, important, and implication-rich book
For me this book is one of the most profound and important books I have ever read about relationships and communication. Although it is written as a book about marital relationships, it has implications for every kind of relationship, and not only intimate or dyadic ones. And, although it is written as a pop psychology book, I think it makes a real contribution to the social-scientific understanding of relationships and communication -- that is, it stands up well as a general model of communication and relationship. I think it is a great book and would be of great value not only to those trying to solve relationship problems but to those wanting to understand the ways in which self and relationship are intertwined in general. It illuminates all of the areas of one's life in which one communicates with others and, as another reader said, can be as valuable for understanding past relationships as for dealing with present ones.

Excellent, excellent book.
This book has really come to the rescue in my life. I am 24 and my partner 21. We've been together 8 months and started having conflicts after moving in together about 2 months ago. After a big fight one day, she brought this book home and we agreed to read it together every day.

Since then, there's been a massive change for us. A difficult change too, but so worthwhile. Margie and Jordan are really great people, and they make the book funny, informative and loving, but strong enough to shake you up. It's just so great... learning to learn is difficult, but ultimately incredibly rewarding. 1000 stars!

Buy this book!
If you are having conflicts in your relationship, I cannot recommend a better book for helping understand your own reactions to your partner's behavior. This book shed enormous light on my relationship. That relationship ultimately fell apart, but this book helped me to understand why.

My queen... Its your move.
Absouloutly the greatest three novels of a fantasic series. I could go on and on but why? If you havent read these books, read the first series then come back and prepare to be transported back to an amazing place.

The books where, as in Raist's words, more than perfect.
Where do I start on how awesome the books where? Not only where they bueatifully written(better than Astinius himself; please don't let him read this!:-) ), they where totally packed full of action adventure and that lovavable kender Tasselhoff! ( For those totally dragonlance illiterate; let me update you on all characters, Raist is the dark mage whose soul was forged during a test of power for becoming a mage, Astinius is the scribe of the gods, some believe him to be the god of the book, gilean himself, and tasselhoff is a kender who actually has a concious!!(thats amazing, seeing as how all kender think they do not have to go by the laws other people do!))

Anyways, Goldmoon's supposed death in the gully dawrfs' lands was a bitter event that changed the rag-tag team of heroes forever. The one good thing about this happening was that she became a true cleric of Mishkal, goodess of healing.(okay,okay, your going to have to read to find out what I mean if you don't alredy know.)

The teaching of Tika and how to use a sword was totally hillarious, especially when she managed to save herself from goblins or something by accident(snicker, snicker) (Could you imagine the look on old sturms face?!! ;-) ) Well I could go on and on (as a said before, like tasselhoff) but you probably have a life(and what computer lover wouldn't?) so I'll shut up now before Flint's ghost comes after me with a hammer or something(IEEEEK!!;Scary thought!)

So as in the famous words of raist "we shall meet again."

one of the best books ever
it saddened me to see that this book is no longer in print. it has to be the best star trek book ive ever read. it chronicles the life of 2 people, one human and one vulcan and their very diffrent lifes and how through everything from their being kidnapped by klingons and romulans to life and death situations their friendship grows stronger still. anyone that likes the relationship between kirk and spock will truly love this book.

This is the best book i have ever read (out of 300+)
This is the ONLY book i have ever read that brought me to tears. It has NOTHING to do with star trek, so if you don't like "trek" books your safe to buy this.

I can't believe pocket isn't reissueing this book like mad, it is SO overlooked.

The best Star Trek novel I've ever read
The two previous reviewers just about said it all, and I can't add much more than my endorsement of this book. I read this book for the first time when it was first released, and it has yet to be surpassed by any other Trek book I've read since. Like the previous reviewer pointed out, it was written before the writers' guidelines were established for Trek novels, and the result is an engaging, original story. I wish Pocket Books would throw out the formula guidelines and bring us more books like this one.

I also enjoyed Margaret's book co-authored with Nichelle Nichols, "Saturn's Child", and look forward to its upcoming sequel.

Creativity Plus
Margaret Miller's book is filled with incredible creativity. She guides the reader to just let the juices flow and not to be afraid to try whatever "the reader" feels will work. No intimidation, no stress. First time quilters need not be afraid to give it a shot. Every quilt is a piece of art!! I'll own all of her books soon!

Spectacular Mind Opener
This book has been inspirational to me. I am now in the process of designing my own "Easy Pieces" quilt. The concept of using only triangles and wedges and then cutting the 6" block from the sewn pieces is so simple even I, a beginner quilter, could figure it out. The color and pattern possibilities seem to be endless and the results are startling. I have to finish up a boring hexagon quilt before I allow myself to start my Easy Pieces quilt, but I know exactly what I am going to do and have purchased the fabrics already. WOW"

Reccomended by the accidental quilter
I bought this book to learn more about designing quilts. Margaret Miller encourages the reader to play with two basic geometric shapes. This frees up the beginner from being overwhelmed by complicated construction techniques and able to play with quilt design. The quilts selected for inclusion in this volume also have a great deal of motion built into the design, so it gives the reader a chance to study how this is done. If you want to learn more about design, color, and motion of quilts--this is an excellent resource. Color examples that are my favorites include Marty Kutz's "Fall Frost" (pg. 60),Grace Crocker's "Quilt Virus"(pg. 66), Maureen Roy's "Sisters"(pg. 100), and Nancy Meyer's "The Inside Story."(pg. 51). It's A Real Good Book!
I am six years old and I love Goodnight Moon - it's my favoritebook! My cousin's birthday is soon and he's turning one - I'm gettinghim this! I think this book is good for anybody who loves MargaretWise Brown's books. The bunny is cute and I have the doll that goes with the book. So enjoy Goodnight Moon if you ever buy this book. Your kids will enjoy it!

Simply the best bed-time book ever
We don't have fights over bedtime in our house. I credit our routine, of which "Good Night Moon" is a big part. This has been the last book my two-year-old daughter and I have read every night for the last 18 months. The end of this book, "Good night noises everywhere", means it's time to go to bed and it works every time.

The wonderful illustrations allow us plenty of time to point out and name things in the room. And, as the room gets progressively darker, don't be too surprised if your eyelids get heavy along with your child's!

Jessica's Favorite
My daughter, Jessica, is now almost 12 years old. But, when she was just the first sparkle in my eye we were given this book. Her very first. Even then, she would have me read it to her over and over again, all the while she was finding the hidden mouse. I believe for sentimental reasons, it is still her most favorite book. Only now, she enjoys reading to me (and I find the mouse).

Growing up with Judy
This is the second book in the Judy Bolton series, all of which were based on real-life incidents. It is well-written (far better than the Stratemeyer Syndicate's Nancy Drew), and the heroine is a likeable, down-to-earth young girl whose adventures brightened my childhood. I still enjoy reading them today!

This is the second in the Judy Bolton series.
Judy is introduced in the first book, The Vanishing Shadow. This is one of the best of the 38 book series and as with all Judy Bolton's teaches about loyalty, honesty, friendship. I would like to correct a previous review. Judy does indeed grow older, and marry, however she does not have a child. This was planned, however the series was not allowed to proceed to that point

I wish more people had the opportunity to enjoy Judy Bolton.
I was introduced to both Judy and Nancy around 1948. I have always preferred Judy. I re-read several of both series lately, and am still of the same opinion. Nancy is an elitist, but likeable. Judy is a real person with good lessons about trust, honesty, making mistakes and correcting them. She embraces all types of people and encourages young people to not be afraid of differences.

Awesome book! It will transform your life, if you use it.
This is an awesome book. If you read this book, and apply what you learn in it, your life it will improve dramatically! This is a fact. Do you realize that there are many people living, right now, on this planet who live what some would call a magical and miraculous life? I do, I know many others who do, and so can you! It is about learning life-skills that work. This book will teach you those life-skills.

Ramana meets Seth
This book has IT. Bartholomew doesn't want to show you how to rearrange your mental furniture but to show you that you misidentify yourself with that furniture.

This book fits well with the teaching of Maharshi, Nisargadatta, Robert Adams, Advaita Vedanta, etc.

Simple and accessible
What strikes me about Bartholomew is the simplicity with which he patiently and with great compassion explodes our myths about the nature of reality.

If you have read Jane Roberts' Seth books but still need a little help in grasping some of the material - I can recommend Bartholomew in this and any of his other books. However, these books stand in their own right as signposts on the spiritual road each of us has to take, sooner or later.

Great investment
I bought this book for my son and he absolutely loves it. I bought the paperback version, which he is a little young for. But he carries it with him and loves it when we read it to him. It is a big hit.

I DON'T like bugs, But I love this book!
The best series I have found for very early readers. The pictures match the text, the sentences are very short, and the words are words children use everyday. I highly recommend this book and others in this series for any early readers out there.

Easy to read Bugs
As with every Margaret Wise Brown book I have ever seen; (I own 13 titles now); VERY Kid-friendly. My daughter likes bugs too and is just learning to read. Most pages in this story have 2 - 3 words. Perfect for the early reader!

Fabulous Book!
This is one of the best books out there for anyone considering breeding show dogs. Great details on how to study pedigrees and how to best develop your own line. Has become hard to find, but is well worth the money if you can locate a copy.

The "Bible" of dog breeding, whelping and raising puppies
Whether you are a long time breeder or a novice, this book is a must. I have been breeding Yorkies since the late seventies and Maltese since the early ninties and I still refer to this book during each litter. This book provides easy to understand instructions along with pictures and graphics for breeding, the whelping process, and care of the pups afterwards including tube feeding if necessary. It details the warning signs of a failing pup so that you can take proactive action. Don't let the title scare you into thinking that this book is not for you. If you are currently breeding or if you are planning on breeding in the future, this is the only book on the subject that you will ever need. Amen.

This is the best book around for people with toy and small breeds. It was given to me when my first champion Bichon was about to be bred. I have used it with every litter for the past 20yrs. If you can find it, get it. It will be of great help.

We 3 Fifth Graders, read a book about Louis Braille, by Margaret Davidson. This book is about a boy named Louis Braille. He was the boy who invented books for the blind. Louis lived in Coupvray,in France. He is blind. He became blind by playing with his father's awl. The awl slid right into Louis' eye and it got injured and it got infected. One day, a new priest came to a church on the hillside. The priest was named Father Jacques Palluy. Father Palluy knew that Louis was blind so, he sent Louis to a new school for blind children in Paris. He liked every school subjects there.One day, a Captain called Charles Barbier came to Louis' school. Captain Barbier taught Louis about nightwriting. Nightwriting are raised dots that stands for sounds. Louis invented his own alphabet dots and he spread the news by making books. When Louis died, everyone started to call his dots Braille. Will Louis' popularty ever be extraordinary? Why did some people dislike his invention at first? Will the Braille be used forever?

Our opinion about this book is that this is an outstanding book because Louis made up a way for blind people to read. Why would Louis want to make books for blind people? We gave this book 5 star because we think it is a fantastic book. This book can teach blind people how to read and write. People that are not blind can also learn Braille.The back of the book also has braille dots so, we can practice. We even learned how to spell our names in Braille. We think that Louis' idea was excellent.

We should recommend this book to 4,5,and 6 graders because it teaches a lesson about not playing with sharp tools, and it also teaches you how to read the Braille alphabet. Another lesson we learned is that if you want to get something done you have to do it yourself. If you want to learn more about Louis Braille, try reading: Louis Braille: the Boy who Invented Books for the Blind.

Excellent!
Of all the biography's I've read in my life, I think this is the best one! I thought it was so neat how Louis suddenly thought of how we could use dots like that. Everyday when I got to scool I couldn't wait to start reading. So I think you should buy this book and start reading!
