Watch out.
I had to read this book for an assignment. If I had not had this assignment, I would not have read it. Firstly, I will make it clear that I am sixteen years old, not sixty. I know a lot about New Age teachings. I do not consider myself to be narrow-minded person. I know I'm not. But it makes me sick to think that someone could marry together the holy and upright teachings of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the New Age. Perhaps the author is not familiar with Deuteronomy 18:10-11 that warns us not to pracitice divination, interpret omens or consult the dead. Did not God, in Leviticus 20:6 say he would turn his face against those people? Hasn't the author ever read in the book of Revelation about the woman Jezebel who taught the so-called secrets of God? Didn't God warn His children against following her teachings. Or then again, maybe the author does not read his Bible anymore. If he does, then he must never take such obvious warnings literally. I warn all readers, stay clear of this book. It is so filled with a quest for Beauty that it has forgotten about Jesus, the way, the truth, and the light.

Love is the bridge between Christianity and the New Age
I am one of the many people who meditates and prays for the reconciliation of Christianity and the proponents of the New Age. When I found 'Beauty and the Priest' by Patrick McNamara, I knew that there was real progress being made in this unfortunate schism.

Reverend Patrick McNamara, a former Catholic priest simply seeks the Love of God, something he names Beauty, in every thing and every one. He finds it in so many ways and in so many people that he shows how the walls between people and belief systems are nothing more than illusions, that indeed what we assume seperates us one from the other is nothing more than just that self-fulfilling thought. He points out in his book that God's Love is not the domain of any one religion, belief system or way of living. He does this by sharing with us his firsthand experiences from his childhood, his time in seminary school and finally on a wonderful and surprising odyssey of exploration in alternative and unconventional approaches.

I could not help but see the Beauty that this sincere and humble man sought in the very words he uses to convey his journey. His great sense of humor and his humility shines throughout the book as it does in the chapter on reincarnation:

"When I was at Adele's house someone asked me if I, as a Catholic priest, believed in reincarnation. Right off the tongue rolled my answer, "No, not in this lifetime!"

He not only is able to view age-old topics with joy and wit, but he also discusses with great insight these same topics. Regarding reincarnation, he points out that John The Baptist was asked if he was Elijah by the Elders, when Elijah was already dead. This implies that the Elders doing the questioning realized that we return to this earthly plane after death! He uses other Bible quotes to support the idea that reincarnation is not at all 'incorrect', even for a Catholic priest. Channelling is also handled as lovingly and simply as is so many other vital subjects.

When Reverend Patrick goes to Teotihuacan, the pyramid complex in Mexico to retrace the steps of the Initiates, he brings more insights to the purpose of the Ritual held there by Incan priests than I have ever read by indigenous writers or anthropologists or New Age seekers. His journey is insightful and of great value as he addresses Jesus in the same way that the Initiates would speak to Quetzalcoatl.

Perhaps the most amazing experience the author relates is the psychic surgery performed by Alex Orbito. There are photos of Rev. Patrick with Mr. Orbito's hands clearly submerged into his abdomen, pulling out a piece of dark-colored gunk that is described as 'negative energy'. In a time when the healing power of prayer is pointed out by authors like Larry Dossey and long distance psychic healing of illness is becoming a well-documented phenomenon, it is very believable to me that Mr. Orbito can literally place his hands into the body of his patient and pull illness out in the name of Jesus Christ.

And here the circle comes fully around as we see that what some believe to be the wierdness practiced only by the New Agers is being implemented with the same Love by healers and seekers in the name of Jesus Christ! I recommend 'Beauty and the Priest' as a wonderful journey into Spiritual redefinition and freedom. The ability that Formerly Father Pat has to melt barriers makes the book a worthy read for all involved in the search for God's Love, whether it be an inward search or a search that carries us out into this changing world.

From Mind to Market, The Inventor's Handbook

Authors: J. Mark Davis and Patrick Norris

All Fluff
I was extremely disappointed with this book. It doesn't go into detail on anything. Instead, Mark feels like a half paragraph on most details will cover it. I have yet to hear of an engineer that is satisfied with fluff. What Mark Davis will describe is how the power of God helped him invent. In fact, the forward is written by his priest! I am sorry, but... I don't want someone telling me that invention comes from divine intervention.

Great book for everyone
It's a great book for everyone who want to make money from only one good idea in his head. Sample and clear guide for independent inventors and enthusiast. FROM MIND TO MARKET describes in detail every step in patent process and give useful ideas how to improve inventions and how to sell them. Mark Davis and Patrick Norris offers all they experience gain in the huge world of inventions. Everyone has a great idea and may learn how to sell and protect it. That is a moto in FROM MIND TO MARKET.

A good introduction into basic yoga philosophy and practices
This book was given to me because I wanted to learn more about yoga and it has really helped me. It's not the most comprehensive book on the subject, but it's good for those of us that have not joined an actual class.

Gorgeous Pictures But Lacking in Information
This book has stunning black and white photos that will inspire any couch potato to begin a yoga practice. However, that is where the praise ends. The book lacked a thorough explanation of the poses and yoga philosophy. Also, the poses are given new names. This is clever, but why not stick with the names that have been around for 5,000 years? This book was a little too hip for an interested yoga student.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
The quality of the recording is very poor and has ambiant sound all the way thru and is very distracting-Very poor duplicating quality. If you have heard a good meditation tape with a person who is skilled you will realize this is a weak attempt to change the listener. The induction is poor and the suggestions for change were usless. There are many People with huge following and they are followed for a reason I would suggest you use a reputable person or company for this kind of Help.

Wonderful!
I own several of Mr Bovenes tapes, but this is my favorite one. Just after listening to it once I found I was much calmer. This is a perfect tape to listen to at night to help release all the stress and anxiety that you have built up during the day.

Less than One Star
Pat Zaleswki is quite over-rated. Whare-Ra was long closed by the time he developed an interest in GD simply by reading the Regardie book. The man hasn't had an original idea in his life. He writes irrelevancies: nonsense such as, "Jack Taylor in 1957 changed such and such in the 6=5" without any indication as to why this is important. His ex-wife's book on Enochian chess, despite some editorial mistakes in the boards, is very much worth reading. Hers is by far the better mind of the two Zaleswkis.

a must for any Golden Dawn student
This book is a must for understanding of the 0=0. It will crack your mind open and point you to things you never knew were there. for the serious magicain.

Disturbed by Negative Reviews
I read this book quite some time ago and really enjoyed it. This book confirmed much of what I had already thought happened to this little girl, though some of what is written does not make sense. The author mentions blood being cleaned up after the murder, and everything that I have read on the murder indicates there was none. Other than that discrepancy, I felt the author was right on target.

I was however disturbed by the number of negative reviews written by people who had worked with Jane at Access Graphics. Ordinarily, this would have changed my opinion of this book and the author. However, after reading the book written by the Ramseys themselves, I don't like either one of them. I can see where they could make someone's life a living hell, especially someone who works for them.

Hopefully this book is factual in the sense that the little girl has reached beyond the grave to shed some light on her murder and that she has found some peace. The truth may never be known in this case, therefore the same rings true of all books written about it.

JonBenét's Gift "A Miracle for the Millennium"
I found this book to be really interesting, especially since she worked for the Ramsey's. I feel it gave her an insight on what these people were really like. I hope the BPD at least took the time to investigate the things she says happened in this book. I feel if your interested in who murdered this child it gives great insights into this family. Thanks Jane in caring enough about JonBenét to write this very interesting book. You did a wonderful job.

JonBenet's Gift: A MIracle for the Millennium
This is a wonderful book. It has a message of hope and healing, as well as awareness for child abuse. I now look at my children differently and cherish each and every moment with them. I've always loved my children, but I now have a deeper love for them. Our relationship has flourished beyond anything I ever imagined. My children trust me 100% and show their love and effection daily. We have all read this wonderful masterpiece of a book and have all received the gift from JonBenet's loving spirit. Children are only children for a short time and we all, as parents need to take advantage of the short time we have with them as children, learning and growing and evolving into adults. We are all adults for the rest of our lives, we need to enjoy their childhood with them. This book is inspirational and gave me a final ending to a horrible true life murder that unfortunately happened. It gave me closure to something that has been on millions of peoples' minds, as well as gave me a gift I never would have gotten anywhere else. I just have to thank you, Ms. Stobie, for the courage to write what you did and the wonderful book it became, the world needs more people like you,to not be afraid and stand up for what you believe in. Good Luck with your book and may GOD bless you.

Can only agree, one of the worst work-books ever written
After "Eating the I", a book full of Pattersons selflove and selfimportance, this is one of the worst work-books ever written.
It is a very misleading book as it is full of politics. The politics are clever hidden. At the end the reader must get the impression, well, this man must be far. I suggest, that you do not fall for this. Because a man that far does not use politics. A man that far is humble, quiet, understanding. Patterson is the very opposite: powerhungry, making himself very important and so far and so on.

Patterson tries of course very hard to hide this by being very factual...But I asked myself, what is going on here? Well, it comes down again and again to this very one thing: politics and superiority!

One of the worst Fourth-Way Books I've read!
I was very curious about this book, but after reading it, I found that it is basically advertisement for Pattersons workline, and trying to put down others. Clever attempt, but
not for the serious. Patterson gives in to the fascination of
the "rainbowpress", reducing readers and writers to this sort of "sharks, thriving in pecking in the serious work and suffering of people, who are far above them"!

Very convincing at first, but then......,
It took me a while to see deeper into the authors intentions: He writes very well! That can be said! Very convincing at first. But what is the author really after? Why does he try to bring "his light" into the relationship of Gurdjieff with Bennett, Orage and Ouspensky? What is really behind it? After a while, with the help of some research, I realized, that it is politics. The author tries very hard to manipulate the reader. Manipulate him, to forget about Bennett, Ouspensky and Orage. Manipulation or advertising, it doesn't matter, from which way one tries to see it, it is very clever done. So where does Mr. Patterson come from? His teacher is Mr. Pentland, organizer of the Gurdjieff Foundation. So, after some research, it was clear: Mr. Pentland did not like Mr. Bennett. Not otherway round! So Mr. Patterson follows Mr. Pentlands footsteps like a cat its master? Yes, that is what this book is about. So let it be: politics. But Dear Reader, if you are interested in the Gurdjieff work, do what Gurdjieff so very much recommended: Do not believe, find out for yourself! Do not what others do! Think and work for yourself!

Thorougly Bad. But you can't fail to learn SOMETHING!
Bad: 1. Uses Golden Dawn set-up of the elements, something that does not correspond with Enochiana. 2. Uses wrong hexagrams in rituals. 3. Uses unicursal hexagrams, and claims them to be an old, but unused GD-creation.

Good: It has all the elemental tablets in the beginning of the book, so when i was going through some studies of mine, I didn't have to flip so many pages to find them. My thumbs are so happy.

Although: If you believe that the Golden Dawn tradition has the Complete And Only Anwsers To Everything, this might be a book for you. Else go buy Donald Tyson's Enochian Magick for beginners.
