Terrific early reader book
Having just learned of this book while looking at an older age group of books,...I've found something worth buying for my brand new niece. Here the writer helps the child find out about all different kinds of bugs without getting into any detail (of course, for that age group...) and where they can be found and shows an observing nature,...not something where the child will be thinking of emulating in a negative manner. The illustrations are bright, animated and very fun to look at with each new page.
Lots of fun. Keep up the good work!!!

One of the BEST books on understanding and using DELPHI
'Delphi in Depth' is the best book I have found on understanding Delphi. I have 14 books on Delphi and this book is a must have, for anyone serious about learning and using Delphi. It is useful for both the novice and expert programmer. The explainations and CD examples are simple and direct, showing you HOW, but also explaining in plain english WHY and WHEN to use properties and methods.

fascinating historical novelization
Robert Cecil, Chief Secretary to King James I, sees Papal intrigue under every rock. However, he especially feels the opportunity is perfect to consolidate support for His Highness against the growing espionage presence of the Catholic enemies, Spain and France.

While the foreign spies agitate the oppressed English Catholics, Robert seeks proof of sexual depravity against his most dangerous foe Sir Francis Bacon. He assigns Henry Gresham to obtain the evidence that will fry Bacon. He quickly learns how the agitators inadvertently strengthen the position of their greatest oppressor Robert with their anti-James plots, notably a scheme to blow up Parliament and replace the Scot with a Catholic on the throne. Keeping his own confidence, Henry soon realizes that the diabolical Cecil hired the leaders, Guy Fawkes and Thomas Percy, with an apparent double cross in mind to "earn" the favor of the King. Already in danger due to his secret Catholic beliefs, Henry wonders what to do with what he learned because Cecil will gladly string him up along with the other "traitors".

THE DESPERATE REMEDY: HENRY GRESHAM AND THE GUNPOWDER PLOT is a fascinating novelization of a critical moment in English history that vividly provides the audience with a deep look at surviving the civil religious squabbles that engulfed the English throne in 1605. The story line is cleverly devised so that the history with real people is interwoven into a superbly written espionage plot. Fans of historical tales including romance readers though there is no love story will immensely appreciate Martin Stephen's delightful retelling of the Gunpowder Plot.

Gaining A Broad View and A Deeper Understanding
Futures that Work presents the search conference - a practical way to bring together groups of people who want to make positive change happen for their organization or community. The search offers a collective way for all the members of an organization to view the "whole elephant" so that they can gain a mutual understanding of the issue at hand. Since the preparation for the search is critical to its success, the authors give the reader a full description of how to plan for a search conference, design tips, and glimpses into searches from around the world. People or organizations involved with systemic change efforts will find a highly readable and useful guide to a dynamic planning tool which leads to clear and measurable results in a world filled with conflicting goals and agendas.

Great book check it out!!
Great book!! Read it in 8th grade and remember it 6 years later. Hard to tell if it was written from a pro marijuana point of view or not. It looks at 3 kids first time to experiment with the drug. Good lower level reading.

Winchell to Sheehy to Balay
When I was in Library School at UCLA in 1989, one of the first things I did was purchase "Sheehy" (shorthand reference for 10th edition of this work) for what I considered was a bargain at 95 bucks. It singlehandedly paid for itself in the savings in my time - I didn't have to come and use the library copies for research or the extensive bibliographic verification required within the profession. I wondered in 1989, and I still wonder, why there isn't an online version or a CD-ROM version. "Balay" is a unique work so don't bother comparison shopping. Its organized compilation of reference resources is of the utter highest quality. I think of it now as akin to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) - something for which a true bibliophile (or library geek) might pine but would probably purchase only upon receiving a financial windfall. (Yes, I do own a copy of the OED - 1st edition, compact.) At this price "Balay" is pretty much an institutional purchase, rather than a personal one. But, if you're a new library student with 300 bucks burning a hole in your pocket, this would still be a great time saver. Hint, buy it as early in your library career as possible to amortize your savings in time. Then, keep it as an heirloom of a soon to be bygone era - the age of print.

Harrison's is essential
I have used Harrisons since the eighties. I am a Clinical Psychologist dealing with patients who often have multiple medical problems. Harrison's is a complete solution to getting up to the date medical information, not only the book and CD but also the Website. It is expensive, but if you only ever buy one medical text, this has to be the one.
