Nick W. Says 'Yes!'
Along with Oliver Twist's "Fagan" and Norman Mailer's "Croft", the Big Bad Wolf is one of the true bastards in literary history. No matter how many times I read this particular story, I can never get over how he must prey on the innocent. I don't want to ruin the ending for anybody, but it's a goody. Once again Germany has nothing but the best to offer the world in terms of proud tradition and lovable characters.

Excellent Halloween Book for Children
As an avid Halloween fan, this "Picture Me" book is absolutely wonderful for children. For those of you unfamiliar with the "Picture Me" series of books, the Picture me book lets you put your own child's face in story. All you need are 2 pictures of your child's face and then your child may then look at, and/or read a personalized story! The halloween version is nice because it shows your "child" in many different Halloween costumes, and traditions dealing with the season. There are several books in the "Picture Me" series, and all come highly recommended.

A good introduction to the women of the New Testament
This little book is a generally good introduction to the study of the women of the New Testament appropriate for personal or group study.

It is conveniently divided into twelve sections (1 for each month of the year? 12 women/groups of women for each male disciple?) telling the stories of women from Elizabeth through Paul's converts, and then linking them to us through a representative modern woman whose situation coincides with her biblical sister.

Most of the studies are appropriate to all women (I must admit that as a woman with no children, I felt a bit out of the loop with Mary Salome's study, which was slightly slanted towards mothers in particular - but then again all stories won't always apply to all of us equally). I took off a star for the puzzling exclusion of Martha, who I feel deserved a co-study with Mary of Bethany, and the inexcusable omission of the Syrophoenecian woman who actually won an argument with Jesus (albeit Jesus may have deliberately created the argument to make a point) and who stands as such a central figure in the concept of the gospel as belonging to all people and not just the elite.

Still it's worth your time. Read it by yourself, with the women in your family, or with your women's bible study group. There's at least one biblical woman - if not more - that you'll connect with on some level.

Fascinating look at historical and contemporary characters
Dandi Mackall's technique of reviewing the historical context of New Testament women and then relating them to contemporary women and situations is a refreshing way to "connect" past and present. I read the book and immediately sent it to my daughter to use in her 7th grade Sunday School class. I highly recommend this book for teaching or just for very interesting reading!

Good, But Not Great
This was a pretty good book, but it wasn't as good as the other Todaysgirls.com books I have read. I recommend it, though, especially to you other Todaysgirls.com fans! :)

Ausome!
I just couldn't put this book down! Jami's personality was SO real! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, wondering if she would win the art contest! I can't wait to read the other books in this series! This book rocks!

I like this book and the first one too. I like the way Scoop treats her horses. I think it is neat how she rides bare back. I really hate her cousin Steven. This book was about Sarah Coop her friends call her Scoop. She has a horse stable for backyard horses and she has a couple of boarders but her one boarder might take their horse away to another stable so Scoop and her friends have to try to get the owners to let the horse stay there.

Scoop doesn't think Diablo's owner is very nice and she tells Maggie she shouldn't like him, but then she catches the kissing. Maggie wants to be an actress when she grows up. She always is looking for the right name, so she changes the color of her last name to what ever color she is wearing. She can be Maggie 37 Blue, Green or any color. Diablo's owner is going to sell Diablo because Diablo never behaves for him. Diablo seem like a nice horse to Scoop.
