Ugh.
This really seems like a recycled and rehashed book quickly put together in order to rush a "new topic" to print. I'm pretty sure I recognize this content from other books I've seen on the shelf. Even the paper quality seems recycled! I got this one in the mail, and it already was yellowed - the pages seem like newsprint. I found very little value in this book, content wise. There are definitely better ones out on the market by the gurus on the subject!

Wooooo Hooooo - it's great!!
Love it.

It taught me everything I needed to know to design a flash site for a mobile phone. The site allows users to order alcohol at rock bottom prices in Spain.

By the way, I know this guy and he is great.

Great research, lousy exercises
The research presented is interesting and suggests that the exercises would be effective. Instead, it is just more of the same old stuff. I can't see how this program is likely to help a golfer.

Im am very happy with this book
I want thank the authors for this fun and helpful golf exercise book. Ive definitely noticed a difference in my game after using this program.

Golf is a game that matures like wine
And like fine wines, if you intend for things to turn out well in the long term, you have to set the starting conditions up right. Hospitals and clinics (and golf courses) are packed with people living in pain as a result of unwise swinging. Since it has long ago been determined that timing and flexibility, more than strength and aggression, are the keys to consistency and power in golf, you might be interested in an approach that prepares your body for just that. Simple, direct, and backed by valid research. This book will bring results. It is a great contribution to sports medicine. More pars to you!

Yeah, I got snookered
I was very surprised when I ordered this book and found out that yes, indeed, it was merely a very tiny portion of what I had expected. I suppose I should have known from the price, but the description (at least at that time) did not make it clear that it wasn't the entire dictionary.

Must have more complete info before ordering...
While this may be a very thorough source for the words it covers, it should be noted in the basic information that this is ONLY 128 pages of a 15,000 page work. The description above is very misleading.

5 stars
itz a dictionary. what more can i say

Interesting
I think that this book included a couple of true facts, but a lot of imagination, how could you know what someone about 100-110 years ago was thinking.I think Flora Seymour did fairly well job, considering that she was writing a children's storybook. I applaud you Flora Seymour!

Sacagawea Review
This book was VERY exciting!! I am done with this book now, but I still think about it!! Sacagawea went through ALOT!! For instance like moving, making alot of stuff like: her clothes, shoes, tents, and baskets. Think about it!! Having to make all this stuff. It would take days!! I am sure thankful we have machines now to make different things!! I highly recommend this book!!

Two Roads to Guadalupe
Published in Hardcover by Doubleday (1964)
Author: Robert Lewis Taylor
Amazon base price: $10.00
Used price: $2.65
Average review score:

Learn about the Mexican War
This book is based on the author's research, and he includes a bibliography at the back of the book. What we have here is a novel that borders on being non-fiction, because it adheres pretty closely to the archival record Mr. Taylor examined. He read through many, many journals kept by soldiers, officers, and others, about their experiences in this Mexican War. What Taylor comes up with is a somewhat entertaining "introduction" to the Mexican War. It's an introduction for those who know little about the Mexican War, like myself. I learned a lot from this book, and I re-learned that sometimes it's easier to swallow your history with a human story than straight from the history book. BUT...as noted elsewhere on this website, the book does have a tendency to get dull. Maybe Taylor tried too hard to make it authentic by mimicking the journal-keepers of those days. Also, he spends a lot of time describing the flora, fauna, and architecture, and for spoiled readers of the present day, that may be a little too much work. We need more short dialogue and less hard-core narrative, today. So, this book, published in 1964, offers palatable history, but not much emotion or excitement, and very little sex, though there are women in this war, some dressed as men, and this, too, is based on journalistic evidence uncovered by Mr. Taylor, who I doubt still lives, though I don't know for sure. Diximus.

No match for Jamie McPheeters
With The Travels of Jamie McPheeters easily in my top three books of all time, I started searching for more books by Robert Lewis Taylor. Maybe because I had to compare this to his incredible work with McPheeters, but Guadulupe was a disappointment. It's a story surrounding a journey to, well, Guadulupe, but with none of the wonderfully eccentric and interesting characters that made McPheeters so enjoyable. The pace was a bit slow and I found myself forcing myself to get through sections of the book. There are still some good laughs and Taylor has a distinctive style that I enjoy reading, but those looking for something as great as McPheeters, you will most likely be disappointed.

Ufo: End-Time Delusion

A plausible concept of end time events
Mr. Lewis and Mr Shreckhise make a good case for the possibility that UFO's and their related occurences are tools of satan. In principle I agree that this is a distinct possibility. Their case however is severely weakened in my mind by their credulous acceptance of all UFO reports as being totally factual in nature. Many of the reports they cite in their book have been shown to be either factually incorrect or downright hoaxes. For example, even the most ardent UFO believer will now admit that Travis Walton's abduction story is a fabrication or that Betty and Barney Hill's account does not stand up to close scrutiny. They also appear to accept as fact that regression hypnosis is a viable method to assist an individual to remember past events even though it has been shown that even if a person claims to have never seen a UFO he can still have the same memories of alien abduction when they are hypnotically regressed. Even though the book is flawed in these areas it would still make a nice addition to a library.

Not worth it... go and look for Janeway's
I agree that the best part of this book is the cover. It is not only very expensive, but also the quality is very poor. It has some useful information, but not enough. If you want a GREAT Immunology Book, go and buy Charles Janeway's "Immunobiology: The Immune System in Health and Disease". Don't be tricked like me and end with this book on your shelve, and it is just occupying space. Trust me, not worth it!

The cover is the best part
This book is dissapointing. While this book does contain a wealth of information on immunology, this is more like a dictionnary than an atlas. The "1000 illustrations" well reproduced black and white illustrations, but they are not very well done or helpfull. There are a few black and white photographs, but absolutely no color in the whole book (other than the cover, which probably is the best part of this book). I do not recommend this book.

I recommend the Atlas of Allergic Diseases, by Lieberman and Blaiss. Excellent diagrams and pictures (all color!).

Atlas of immunology
