Educational, Inspirational and entertaining!
The stories in this book brought positive energy while I was reading it. The style of the story telling and the flow of the language are just beautiful. I truly enjoyed reading this book!

Worthy of a Series!
This second volume is just as good as the first! I am looking forward to the whole series of 100 stories! The stories are short and very easy to read, yet provide very valuable lessons for children and adults alike. The richness of the stories comes also in the form of history and traditions which transcend any culture. The stories are very captivating and held my interest - I could not put the book down till I had read it all!

This book is a MUST for any "A Chorus Line" enthusiast.
Viagas, Lee and Walsh, together with the rest of the original cast have made an insightful book which documents the life of this great musical. Filled with remembrances by the cast and with a good collection of photographs by several photographers their book is a treasure chest of facts and memories of Broadway's "Singular Sensation". It is nice to know that author Baayork Lee continues her association with the show after twenty five years, still directing companies of the show and now opening up a website dedicated to the show... I only hope that some day they will provide an updated version concluding with the gala final performance.

A must for any fan of the show (or Broadway in general)
This book captures the show perfectly from people who were there: The Original Cast. This book never ceases to amaze, and move.

This book re-energized our prayer life!
My wife and I used Praying God's Will For My Son to help us pray for our adopted children even before they came to the US. It helped us bless them and increased our bonding with them.

One of our favorite prayers was "We pray that neither death nor life, nor angels or principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate our son from the love of you God, which is in Christ Jesus, his Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

Book provides scriptural prayers arranged by category
This book is a wonderful tool to use during prayer time. It is divided into short chapters addressing different topics (anger, attitude, fear, etc) Each chapter contains several short scriptural prayers related to the topic. It has been a beneficial and uplifting and encouraging book to use.

Don't start a business without it
A step by step process leading you to a fail-safe busines

Outstanding start-your-own business book.
In the large world of how-to-do business books, this one stands out. It is logical, uses real-life, fund-limited examples, and provides both a detailed as well as a quick-start guide to beginning your own business.

It is oriented to the small start-up sector, which is always idea rich but fund limited. It includes strategies for breaking through roadblocks, finding financing and partners, and making a clear presentation of your business strategy to outsiders.

Highly recommended.

The Voice of Shame: Silence & Connection in Psychotherapy ("Gestalt Institute of Cleveland Book Series)
Published in Hardcover by Analytic Press (1996)
Authors: Robert G. Lee and Gordon Wheeler
Amazon base price: $38.95
Average review score:

Excellent book
Bob Lee and Gordon Wheeler have compiled a wonderfully insightful book about shame as it exists in our American culture. With chapters submitted by a number of creative individuals, there are articles (among others on) shame and homosexuality; male-male relationships; social class systems; and chronic illness.

This book has made a significant impact on my work as a therapist and consultant. I would encourage every therapist and consultant to read this book.

Intelligent and practical.
An excellent book. Shines new light on a dark subject, and uses the Gestalt model to make interpersonal shame dynamics more understandable. This book had a notable impact on my clinical work.

Terrific Biography
This was a well written biography on a forgotten soldier who is just getting his due. Highly recommend this fine historical study of Confederate division commander in action!

AN UNKNOWN HERO OF THE SOUTH
Robert Rodes finally gets the biography he has deserved for years. In James Swisher's fine book the casual Civil War buff will be introduced to one of Robert E. Lee's best Division commanders. Historians have stayed away from a book on Rodes because of a perceived lack of information, but Swisher's passion for fellow Lynchburg, Virginia resident Rodes gave him the patience to unearth much undiscovered material on his subject. Like all Civil War Generals, Rodes had his good days (Chancellorsville, Wilderness, Spotsylvania) and his bad days (Gettysburg), but his superb leadership and bravery put him in high esteem with both his men and his superiors. Many felt there was no better commander in the Army of Northern Virginia. Because Rodes was killed at 3rd Winchester in September of 1864, and because many of his principle subordinates were killed during the war there was no one to write his book. James Swisher's biography of Rodes, besides being a great work of scholarship, is highly readable. Swisher has a great writers gift of taking cold facts and making his subject come to life...warts and all. This is a long overdue biography that every Civil War student will want to read. Many good maps and photographs. I recommend it highly!

An Incredible Book!
With all the books published on the Civil War, it's hard to
find something NEW, but this book brings to light a collection of soldiers' letters unpublished since the Civil War. Not only are the letters themselves new and fresh to
Civil War scholars and enthusiasts, but Bill Styple has done
an excellent job of editing them. The Civil War is presented
in a new light. One of the best Civil War books in many years; if you like to read about the Civil War, buy this book!

History Comes Alive
This book is a great addition to the serious Civil War reader's library. Being able to read the battle descriptions, thoughts and feelings of those who actually participated in the war is always enlightening, bringing the reader a different reality than that of the historian who writes about the Civil War with the benefit of hindsight and without the benefit of personal experience. The compilation of letters in this book - in chronological and logical order - brings alive the crucial battles in the Eastern theatre of the Civil War. The only slight deficiency is that very few letters from the Eastern soldiers fighting in Western armies are included. My suggestion: have this book at hand and read what the soldiers had to say about a specific event or battle immediately after reading narrative descriptions of the same event or battle by today's leading historians, for a complete view. Overall, a wonderful book and highly recommendable to the "advanced" Civil War reader.

Best book on teenage pregnancy
What a subtle, beautiful, thought-provoking book. Indispensible for understanding how teenage pregnancy shapes the lives of young people. Offers a poignant view of a variety of American teens facing parenthood, of different classes, different races, different religions and regions. Would be particularly valuable for high-school researchers, or as a complement to drier, more statistical or policy-oriented analyses.

Fantastic photographs which capture your heart and mind
The photographs are fantastic and will capture your heart and mind. The pictures communicate in a way words never could. You will feel like you know and understand these young mothers.

An amazing resource!
This book is not out-of-print. Information about its availability may be obtained from its authors at LeeMedals@aol.com .

This is an amazing book. Perhaps the only one of its kind. In 320 pages with 640 high resolution black & white photos, the authors cover the medals of over 200 societies.

Colonial descendant societies, Revolutionary War societies such as the Daughters/Sons of the American Revolution, Civil War societies like the Grand Army of the Republic and the Daughters of the Confederacy, are all well represented in these pages.

Medals from more obscure groups such as the Order of the White Crane and the Saint Nicholas Society of the City of New York are also represented.

The emphasis of the book is definitely on military and lineage societies rather than on Masonic or other fraternal organizations such as the Odd Fellows or Knights of Columbus.

Information about each pictured medal is included along with a potted history about the issuing society. Why the medal was issued, who it was presented to, and changes or variations if known are described.

If you have an old society medal saved as a keepsake in your family or if you have a photograph of an ancestor wearing a medal , this book may help you identify the organization to which they belonged.

A great book on a new remote sensing technique
This volume provides an excellent advanced introduction to the radio occultation remote sensing technique based on signals from the Global Positioning System (GPS). It consists of papers authored by leaders in their respective fields, and covers many of the atmospheric and ionospheric applications that have been investigated so far. It also covers non-GPS instruments on COSMIC, but this is not my area. The COSMIC constellation of six satellites is planned to launch in 2005.
