I was personally surprised by the simplicity of Euclid's elements. I was ibnitially taught a little of it in Italy, but have only beegun to read it in depth recenly. Euclid essentially creates all of geometry from the basics, useing "sticks and stones", and is therefore very enjoyable.

Also, I found most interesting the fact that I was able to apply euclid into my final year mathematics, and essentially reduce my proofs to 3/10 of the original size, and in a far "smarter" way.

If you want a good guide to maths and geometry, get this book, and if you just want to seem smarter than you are.. get this book.

A CD-Rom jammed with articles from EXECUTIVE EXCELLENCE. I actually got my copy as a bonus for subscribing a couple of years ago. Many of the articles are interesting, but they are all quite short, almost MTV-ish. This seems to be the preferred style for this publication. If you are a fan of Warren Bennis, or one of the writers who regularly contribute to that publication, this is a good way to pick up some new material from your favored writer. The articles are on a variety of topics, which means that there will probably be something for everyone with an interest in this subject, but by the same token, there will be a lot that won't interest you. The CD includes a search engine that is workable. I benefitted from the magazine and the CD, but they didn't set my world on fire.

First, let's correct an error. The 3rd edition was published in 1982 by John Wiley & Sons so the date of "February 1993" is not when the edition came out (maybe its when Krieger Publ. took over).

This is a classic text dealing with all aspects of forest measurements - from individual trees to rather sophisticated forest inventory techniques. It is the ONLY text that contains associated mathematics beyond the basics. It is the ONLY text that deals with metric scale of measurements, especially with point sampling.

This book is a delight for any fans of art deco/art moderne. The photography made me long to return to the Cote d'Azur.

I have already owned a few books about Accounting, such as the one I used to use at college and other ones during my MBA. But, they are not as thorough as this book is. This book is so thorough that I will probably be able to use it for my future reference at work.

i liked this book. the examples were easy to read and the book was a decent introduction to chemistry. if u are required to get this book for an introductory class. dont worry too much its not that hard.

Although this book is quite pricey, as have been other recent OUP releases, this volume of Newman's Letters and Diaries is critical for seeing JHN at a critical time of his Anglican career. Here, Newman seems almost surprised by the reception of Tract 90 and it is also apparent that the Jerusalem Bishopric affair was one of the critical blows to his loss of faith in the via media. Some biographies may give us a glimpse at what was happening at the time, but here we can read Newman as he was living through it, without the benefit of hindsight.

I purchased SweetSips 2 about a year ago and there are so many recipes to choose from that it is hard to know which one to do first! They have all turned out so well and the food and drink recipes really add a nice touch to our home entertaining.

We have also saved a lot of money by making our own liqueurs rather than buying them from the package store. Also, there are many recipes for liqueurs we can not even find in our area. We have also used the basic techniques to create our own special recipes and shared them with Charles Thomas who sends us new recipes for us to try out and critique. He is so much fun!
