Murray On Contracts: a priceless study of contract law
Professor Murray has created a masterful volume cogently and concisely providing the principles of contract law. Murray on Contracts is a must read for any law student, practitioner, or business person seriously interested in a complete study of contract law. This volume contains abundant citations to case law and legal commentary that is valuable to any practitioner analyzing the state of a principle of contract law in his or her jurisdiction. In addition, Murray's lucid and facile style allows the layman and lawyer alike to learn the principles of contract law with pleasure and insight. This is a great contrast to the overly pedantic style of many academic commentators in various courses of study. In short, Murray on Contracts does what few other volumes of its kind can do: make a volume of complex and arcane legal principles read like an engrossing novel.

A Great Beginning for a Beginning Reader!
My daughter, while barely four, devours books. We've been working on phonics and found the basic level of this beginning reader wonderful. She was reading it back to her Father the same night! The author repeats words throughout the book making words easier to identify for young readers. Truth be told, it was the illustrations with their brilliant colors that first captured my daughters attention. The frog experiences a range of emotions that open doors for conversation about how she might have felt in the same situation. Even as an adult, I enjoyed the book and the feeling of watching your child develop a new skill is priceless.

A framework for true reconciliation in Northern Ireland
John Hume is a virtually unknown figure in the United States, but he has been steadily gaining recognition due to his work in the Northern Irish peace agreement. This recognition is overdue and much deserved. This monumental book outlines Hume's political philosophy - a philosophy which seeks to brush aside the vengefulness and intransigence of Northern Ireland's past, searching instead for reconciliation through justice for all. Hume is heavily influenced by Matin Luther King, Jr. and John F. Kennedy, and quotes from these two figures flavor Hume's text. Hume's themes may seem repetitive, and his ideas seem to be based on the shakey foundation of human progress, but this work demonstrates that he is a champion for for a true peace in Northern Ireland - a peace that is just for all.

Political Theory Combined by Real Case Studies
A former State Senator and a Political Science instructor have joined to create a uniquely useful text on state government. Scholarly descriptions of state governments are combined with actual applications with an insider's view on how state government operates. This is a fantastic book on state government.
Of particular interests are the insights on how the New York legislature operates. We see the divisions along political parties and the intense struggles over just 2% to 3% of the state budget. Readers learn of the unique political powers New York legislative leaders have and how they obtain and maintain such authority.
New York has a large number of local, county, and state government agencies. Even local governments differ as they reflect various British, Dutch, New England, and Western influences. Governance in New York is difficult to manage and understand. This book, though, is a great guide to at least achieving comprehension of how New York is governed.

Only concordance NIV readers will need!
This is a great concordance. I've had it for about 4 years now and find it really helpful. It includes several words on either side of the entry to help establish context, which cuts down on the amount of flipping to verses that don't apply. I definitely recommend this, I'm going to get a copy for my roommate so that I can get mine back!

Complete enough, and comfortable to carry around
For each word that it covers, it gives all occurrences.
It doesn't cover words like "the" etc.
I hate any book which is ponderous to carry, so I like this one.

I hate any book which is ponderous to carry, so I like this one.
I found it very helpful because there are certain concepts
in the Bible which are "spread around" so you have to look
all over the Bible to detect them. An example is the
"crown rewards of heaven" -- there are 10 crowns mentioned
in the Bible as rewards for various things. This shows to
me what the requirements are for being happy when I get to
heaven, because I want to get all of it, not just a smidgeon.
***NOTE***: I find it wise and sometimes necessary to also
refer to the NRSV Bible on word search matters such as these.
So, this concordance is not the 100% be-all-end-all. But it's
a great start!

the best of the Ozstory books
All of the Ozstory books are great, but this one is the greatest of all, in my opinion. It has things by Shanover, Baum, Thompson, all the Oz greats. There are new stories and old ones. Comic book types and traditional story formats. This is truly a fun book that every Oz collector needs! I recommend it very enthusiastically!

The most precise and beautiful information available.
John Richards monograph on the genus Primula is the best book I have seen on the subject. I work with primroses every day and it would be much more difficult without this clarifying volume. The theoretical background is sound, the disposition is easy to follow and the illustrations are both informative and pleasing to the eye.

The stories--all about "monstrous" children and their antics (kicking each other under the dinnig table, skipping school, the vanity of little girls) are very charming.
But the real value comes from Edward Gorey's s illustrations. Gorey died on April 15, 2000, so all of his books are precious--he's the artist that drew the animations for PBS' "Mystery" series. All of his illustrations have an refined and elegantly macabre feeling. I.e., all of the monsters and ghouls are dressed for a formal cocktail party. Kids love that! I think you will too.
