Perfect summer reading
"Daddy's Girl" by Judith Arnold. Kevin Medina loves his one-year-old child Alix, but worries that he will lose custody of his beloved daughter. Court appointed Family Services worker Natalie Baines will make a recommendation to the court on who should raise Alex, but she wonders if she can remain neutral when she loves the father as much as his baby?

"Home, Hearth and Haley" by Muriel Jensen. Lawyer Bart Megrath left Florida to travel to colonial looking Maple Hill, Massachusetts to bail his friend's sister out of jail. However, he wonders who will bail out his heart as he falls in love with his volatile client, Haley Whitcomb.

"Temperature Rising" by Bobby Hutchinson. In Vancouver, most of the professional staff at St. Joseph's Hospital respect Dr. James Burke for his incredible trauma surgical talent, but try to avoid him anywhere outside the operating room, as tact is not his code word. However, chief operating official Melissa Clayton knows first hand about James' abrupt manner, but still cannot protect her heart from desiring the curmudgeon surgeon.

All three tales are powerful stories due to deep believable characters and engaging relationships that lead to enticing tales. Readers will relish this anthology that is a return to the "daddy school" and the ER wars of St. Joseph's as well as the opening gamut of a new miniseries.

Good enough to last all summer long
Harlequin Superromance celebrates two decades with ALL SUMMER LONG, a collection of three novellas by Judith Arnold, Muriel Jensen and Bobby Hutchinson. While unrelated, they are united in their presentation of conflict and romance.

"Daddy's Girl" by Judith Arnold: A child custody case brings Kevin Mdeina, one-year-old Alex and social worker Natalie Baines into a collision course. He fears every nuance, every subtlety, every implication of his words out of concern of what he might reveal to this woman who holds the power to influence the removal custody of his child, and because he's attracted to her. She holds her distance because he represents a conflict of interest when she must only concern herself with the child's best interest.

"Home, Hearth and Haley" by Muriel Jensen: When his best friend's sister lands in jail, lawyer Bart Megrath finds himself bailing Hellfire Haley Whitcomb out of jail. He's up to the task, however, despite the fact her last lawyer was carried out on a stretcher.

"Temperature Rising" by Bobby Hutchinson: Dr. James Burke understands the power of healing, but doesn't understand the power of the heart until he encounters hospital administrator Melissa Clayton. Melissa is just the woman to give James a lesson in bedside manners.

Characterized by strong characterizations emotional intensity, ALL SUMMER LONG presents three strong tales of romance. Jensen's novella launches the beginning of her Men of Maple Hill series, and Hutchinson's novella introduces her Temperature Rising series. This collection comes very highly recommended.

Exquisite Writing, Exquisite Setting
This book was recommended. I read and was not disappointed. The talented Muriel Jensen has crafted a wonderful book that features characters so real and a setting so rich that it, too, becomes a character. You'll love Tate Delancey, who with his brothers Mike and Shea, inherit an Oregon winery. Each brother needs a change and so they decide to keep the winery and restore it. The current manager is prickly Colette Palmer, a widow with two daughters and a boatload of mental baggage. Tate, a transplanted Easterner, must use tact and a lot of cunning to get the widow to decide a lifetime with him is exactly what she needs.

Look for well-developed characters throughout, interesting details on winery management that don't overshadow the love story. And look for Mike's story, the next in this exciting trilogy.

Superb romance with a duo of delightful Delanceys to come

Boston architect Tate Delancey feels lonely and dissatisfied with his current life. His former spouse, married a diplomat, and moved the family, including Tate's two beloved biological daughters to Paris. His two partners fell in love and married each other. When the Fax arrived that his missing Uncle Jack has legally been declared dead, Tate has mixed feelings. He prays that wherever his uncle is (on earth or elsewhere), he is happy. However, Tate relishes starting over with the Oregon winery he inherited along with his two siblings.

Tate meets his two brothers (Mike and Shea) in Oregon to decide what to with the winery. Currently running the place is Colette Palmer, a widow with two small children. Though the facilities look like hell, Colette has managed to keep the vines in superb shape. As the attraction grows between Tate and Colette, she continues to fight him, leaving it up to the transplanted easterner to persuade her that they can share a lifetime of happiness together.

The first novel in Muriel Jensen's "Delancey" trilogy is a warm second chance at love story that fans of the theme will devour. The story line is fun as the lead protagonists and the three Delancey brothers continually argue, fuss, and fight. The characters are all wonderful as Ms. Jensen creates fully developed protagonists. Readers will clearly want to peruse Mike's tale, scheduled for release in June.

Writing as Clean and Crisp as a Vintage Wine
Ms. Jensen has done it again, created two fascinating protagonists who are more than a match for each other. Former tough hostage negotiator, now vineyard co-owner with his two brothers, Mike Delancey will melt your heart. And Veronica Callahan is every bit as interesting as any heroine you could find. Her detailed plans for her future include Mike, who doesn't want to have anything to do with the former nun who now manages a daycare center at the vineyard compound.

Kudos to Ms. Jensen who created characters I wanted to know and a setting I want to see.

second to none
I have read almost all of Muriel Jenson's books. This is one of my favorites. Second in a series about brothers, inheriting a vinyard. Second to None is by far my favorite. But the entire series is a must read.

Great Romance in Picture-Perfect Setting
Muriel Jensen's conclusion to her Delancey Brothers trilogy recaptures the warmth of the first two books, yet is different in a delightful way.

Shea Delancey discovers his former girlfriend's problems (and one of his own!) when he sees her on TV. Determined to help Samantha Haskell, and regain what he lost, Shea goes in pursuit and convinces Sam to spend the holidays at the winery where she meets his extended family. Convincing Sam to take another chance with him, and learning to trust her are just two of the things this youngest Delancey must learn to earn his happy ever after ending.

This book has everything: romance, babies, a fantastic setting, well-drawn characters right down to the llama, a mystery solved, and reunions galore (not to mention some mouthwatering recipes). Don't miss this heartwarming conclusion to a fascinating series.

Ms. Jensen. I want to read more, and I want to visit that winery! Brava for a superb trilogy!

A beautuiful romance
After a year of managing the Oregon winery they inherited from their deceased uncle, the Delancey brothers are pleased with their success. Though the winery itself has a bit to go before making a profit, the bed and breakfast and the restaurant are already winners. Mike and Tate have found love and happiness with their new wives, leaving the youngest, gourmet chef Shea, the lone bachelor of the three siblings.

Everything changes for Shea when he watches a TV reporter question Samantha Haskell about her family's business failure. Sam handles the setback with class, but a shaken Shea learns that his former lover Sam recently gave birth to an infant that he must have sired. He leaves for San Francisco to confront Sam. When he sees her, Shea knows he still loves her and made a bad error last year when he rejected her plea to allow her to help him with his financial crisis. Desperate to have Sam and child in his life, Shea blackmails her into spending the holidays in Oregon where he prays that the loving environment will persuade Sam that they belong together.

THE THIRD WISE MAN, the final Delancey brother tale, is an enjoyable contemporary romance that retains the magic of the first two tales but travels down a different path. The story line is entertaining as Shea learns how much his decision hurt. The return of lead characters from the previous two novels (see FIRST BORN SON and SECOND TO NONE) provides the readers with a warm family feeling for the holidays. Muriel Jensen makes Christmas a joyful time with a fun to read book.

You can¿t take it with you
The Cahill-Lamont wedding would have been a coup for wedding planner Anna Maitland if she wasn't so certain that the bride and groom, two good friends, weren't making the biggest mistake of their lives. Anna's priority was making the day a dream for Caroline Lamont but when she discovered that wealthy businessman Austin Cahill sought this marriage for the sake of producing an heir to leave his fortune to, she couldn't help but disapprove despite claims from both parties that they were certain that this was what they wanted. Still another problem arose when her brilliant son Will found a kindred spirit in Austin. And yet, the more Anna comes to know and understand what motivates Austin, the more she finds herself drawn to him. For Austin Cahill, marriage to his friend Caroline is ideal. Neither of them is capable of love and all he wants is a child to leave everything to. But when he meets their wedding planner, he can't help but admire Anna for her poise, her wit, and her incredible son. As he becomes more involved in making decisions regarding the wedding, he unexpectedly finds himself falling in love with Anna and her son.

Muriel Jensen's installment of the Maitland Maternity series is the best yet. The story is fluid and the characters are engaging. She turns what could be clichéd into something creative and endearing. Austin is a hero who isn't heartless despite the circumstances involving his intent to wed. His decision to marry Caroline is not a dispassionate one because he knows that the two of them truly are good friends. And though Jensen could have employed a love triangle as a tool, she doesn't. Instead, Anna comes to respect both Austin and Caroline despite her misgivings about preparing this wedding. Anna is a strong heroine who has endured a loveless marriage so her concern for Caroline becomes sincere and admirable. She is also able to relate to Austin and his need for family. But she never behaves unprofessionally and always displays her utter sense of responsibility. One of the best things about this story is the fact that it is not their immediate attraction that pulls Austin and Anna together so much as a grudging friendship whose potential for love is explored with the help of Will, the ten-year old financial wizard who is Anna's pride and a source of mild envy for Austin. There is a secret that Anna does keep from Austin that is paramount to the story but it is worked through thoroughly and without breaking the fluidity of this story. In addition, Jensen also juggles the secondary plots incredibly well, integrating them into the story without detracting from the appeal of Austin, Anna, and Will's story.

THIS IS A 5 PLUS BOOK!
This is a must have for the discriminate taste.
Fast, constant, moving, gut-wrenching tale of a desperate mother's love that will not be denied.
The lose of her two sons led Josie Cross to use the desperate measure of becoming a mail-order bride in order to search for her lost ones.

Widower Adam Scofield, having lost the love of his life, has requested a Bostonian lady of some gentility and breeding to mother his two daughters and to share his comfortable life.
He is not looking for love so much as companionship and some one to share his bed.
Adam Scofield and Miles Carver are lawyers in the California town of Yreka in the Siskiyou Mountains.

Josephine Cross started with little lies and omissions that escalated into entangling webs that nearly tripped her up.
She worked hard at being a good mother to Adam's daughters but could not forget her driving need to find her sons.

Miles took a bullet for her [unintentionly] and Adam could not and would not give up his wife even knowing that he was in danger of falling in love with Josie.

I won't give away the whole gist of the story but tell you that it is time well spent reading this one.
Highly Recommended with a 5 plus rating [which I give to very few books] I leave it to you to find the enjoyment in the reading that I did and give your own rating.

Who's the Daddy?
Independent woman Natalie Browning had given up on love — but not on motherhood. Her fiancé had split, the sperm bank was a debacle…. Then she met entrepreneur Ben Griffin, the handsome widowed father of two perfect daughters. He was honorable, intelligent, incredibly [good looking]… her perfect daddy candidate! Many a woman had asked Ben for his manly assistance — say, in lifting heavy boxes or changing car oil — but not Will you father my baby? He'd never been so entranced by a woman, so starved for her touch, but Natalie's proposition was outlandish — and absolutely out of the question! Or was it?

A fun read in the Who's the Daddy? Miniseries. The book was funny and I think most women can identify with Natalie. Ben is a modern day prince charming!
