My Thoughts
There were two brothers, Greg and Keith in a car accident. reg died and Keth has amnesia. The only thing he remembers is Emily, a pregnant woman. It is his baby or greg's baby. Emily knows. The baby belongs to her and Greg.

To protect her baby's future she lies and tells him it is his baby. But things get more complicated, because his memory is coming back and she begins to love him more and more each day.

I like this book because I think it is filled with a little romance and a little mystery. The mystery is who is the real father of Emily's baby and the romance is how she learns to love Keith.

A HEARTWARMING ROMANCE
The Fraudulent Fiancee belonging to the "9 Months Later" series is a heartwarming romance.
Keith meets or rather sees Emily when his deceitful brother, Greg asks him to buy her off. Keith is floored by the feelings he has towards Emily if she were his woman, he even imagins making love to her......

Emily refuses to be bought off and leaves for another in the hotel chain owned by the Ropers as she needs her medical insurance for her baby. She moves from Florida to Oregon.

She is approaching her 8th month when she learns that the brothers have been in an accident and that Greg has been killed.
The Roper brothers were in the southwest looking for property for another hotel.

When mom and dad Roper, Barbara and Neil, bring Keith home to Oregon to recuperate, on introducing him to the staff, Keith's first sense of memory came when he looks at Emily. He just knows that the baby she is carrying is his. And he asks Emily to move in with him.

Imagine Emily's reactions, because she knows that Keith is not the father of her child. But how can she disillusion him when he needs something concrete to hold onto.

She proves to be very inventive whenever Keith asks questions about their relationship as she tries to help him regain his memory. Ah, but then the baby is born and he wants to claim them as his own in marriage. The developing love story is very moving.

And then comes the puzzle or mystery of why Greg's hotel was losing money yet seemed to do a booming business. Now we see Emily wanting to protect Keith, because she is afraid of the danger that could be involved as he digs deeper. Who could be a threat to Keith? Surprising developments occur.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- characters are great and story good enough to read again.

Delightful holiday romance -- Highly recommended
A woman wielding a baseball bat surprises Evan Braga when he enters his office. Exhausted and overwhelmed from the previous sixteen hours, Beazie Deadham collapses after accusing Evan of murdering her boss. Before Evan came to Maple Hill and joined Whitcomb's Wonders, he had been a cop, and Beazie's startling appearance raises old intuition and training. As her boss lay dying in Beazie's arms he had entrusted her with a tape, warned her against cops, and told her to take the tape to Evans in Maple Hill. Beazie does not know if Evan is actually the man she is seeking, and she refuses to reveal the entire story until she is certain.

Evan bears his own burdens, especially an overwhelming sense of responsibility for his brother's death. He resigned the force in Boston and came to Maple Hill for healing. Although his family rallied around him following the accident that took his brother's life and severely injured him, Evan's guilt keeps him from feeling comfortable with them. With murders pursuing Beazie, he refuses to turn Beazie out to seek answers alone. Instead, he persuades her to stay with him for a while, posing as an old girlfriend. Then they realize that Beazie had dated Evan's brother, and his brother was somehow connected to Beazie's tape.

Purple hair and Christmas spirit combine in the delightful holiday romance MAN WITH A MIRACLE. While the subplot of danger and intrigue adds a decided note of tension to the novel, it the developing relationship between Beazie and Evan that remains center stage. Bezie's resourcefulness and determination never flag as she struggles to reconcile the events of the past with an unexpected present that unfolds in Maple Hill. Evan's need for self-forgiveness becomes the perfect holiday story, enriched by the beauty of a small community that loves the joys of the holiday. Family complications, holiday cooking and favorite Maple Hill residents make their appearances, lending this holiday tale their individual flavors. A lovely holiday read, MAN WITH A MIRACLE comes highly recommended.

Suspense and Family Values ... A Winning Combination!
Beazie Deadham arrives in Evan Braga's office cold, hungry, and with a baseball bat in her hand. On the run, Beazie has been instructed by her dying boss to take an audiotape to "Evans" who she thinks may be behind her boss' murder. She finds herself in Evan's office, then promptly passes out. The former cop takes the lovely redhead home with him and sets out to help her find Evans. When he learns the tape she carries is somehow linked to his brother, Evan's world tilts. He's falling in love with Beazie, but he came to Maple Hill to sort out the guilt he feels over his brother's death, and he doesn't want commitment. Beazie, on the other hand, has been lonely all her life and is looking for exactly the kind of commitment she finds with Evan and his friends in Maple Hill.

Ms. Jensen has created a warm, loving extended family in this final Maple Hills series. Evan is a worthy hero and Beazie is delightful, as are the rest of the town's residents who appeared in the first two books of the trilogy. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. It will warm your heart and fill you with Christmas cheer.
Highly recommended.

Pregnant and sexy! Highly recommended
Hank Whitcomb returns to Maple Hill, Massachusetts after a twenty-year absence and successful career as a NASA engineer. Although his professional life was hugely successful, his personal life was lacking. Now he's started a small business called Whitcomb's Wonders, offering a variety of handyman services. When he relocates his business to City Hall, however, he quickly finds himself confronting the past.

Jackie Bourgeois still carries the scars of the past. Hank had been the love of her life although she married someone else after he left Maple Hill twenty years ago. Now widowed, the mayor of Maple Hill, mother of two, and pregnant, Jackie scarcely has the time or energy to deal with old wounds, or so she tells herself. She needs what Hank offers: love, commitment and family. But she also carries a secret, the reason she refused to leave Maple Hill with Hank twenty years ago. That secret threatens both of their dreams.

Author Muriel Jensen continues the Men of Maple Hill miniseries with MAN WITH A MISSION. These marvelous characters sparkle; from the fierce determination of the heroine to the snotty woman her father is dating. As political intrigue, pregnancy and Jackie's entrancing daughters keep the plot moving steadily along, readers will wish to linger in this wonderful community much longer. Highly recommended.

exciting contemporary romance
After spending almost three full days without any sleep because of a control problem with a deep space mission, lonely Hank Whitcomb decides to quit NASA. Following graduation from Southern California and fourteen years as an engineer at the space agency, Hank returns to Maple Hill, Massachusetts seeking to regain his lost spark for life.

When he sees his high school girlfriend for the first in all these years, Hanks knows why he could never emotionally connect with the women he dated. He still loves Jackie Bourgeois, now the mayor of his small town. He has to persuade Jackie that they belong together as adults. However, Jackie has a secret that she has kept from the only man she ever loved along with a pair of new dilemmas. She believes either one will end her only chance for happiness with Hank once he learns either truth.

MAN WITH A MISSION is an exciting contemporary romance starring two wonderful lead characters and a charming support cast. The story line goes as expected for a category yet seems warm and fresh because Muriel Jensen makes the relationship between Hank and Jackie feel real. That element engages the audience from start to finish, as the readers will want the lead duo to work out their differences even as things look bleak. Ms. Jensen has written an engaging tale that draws the audience into caring what happens to those citizens of Maple Hill.

good one in the series
This book is good old romance, with hilarious situations and awful big brothers. They were so protective for her. The main idea of this book is a bachelor-auction where you buy a man for a weekend. Ok, heroine buys the man, gets him in a little cottage for protection. The hole heart of the west series is romance ( nothing like Temptation). This book, holiday, beach and a quiet afternoon when someone else takes care of the kids...

A good start to a new series

In this first installment in the Millionaire, Montana series, Shelly Dupree is struggling to keep the cafe/coffee shop she inherited from her parents open. She is two months behind in the rent and is about to be evicted when the lucky lottery numbers are drawn. When the press flock to Jester to cover everything they can about the new millionaires, one desperate young unwed mother abandons her baby in Shelly's cafe so Shelly can give the baby what the mother cannot. Shelly has no experience with babies since she spent all her time as a youth working in her parents cafe rather than baby sitting. When family services cannot come to pick up the baby for a few days because of staff shortages due to illness then weather, the local sheriff asks Shelly to look after the baby with the aid of the hunky new pediatrician, Connor O'Rourke. With Connor's help, Shelly soon builds confidence in her mothering abilities and falls in love with the baby while Connor is falling in love with Shelly.
Shelly is a strong heroine whose personal growth makes this book worth reading.

:)
Barbara Ryan was completely embarrassed when her boss, ad executive John Cheney walked into his bathroom to find her half-naked. He seemed to understand and accept her excuse when she told him that his secretary/her friend let her into his office and private bathroom so that she could try on a dress. Of course, neither of them expected the company's biggest potential client to walk in the door, the church cooperative made up of, yes, clergymen. Caught in a compromising and potentially disastrous position-John introduces Barbara to the clergy as his wife. If that's not bad enough, to land the account that could give the ad company national publicity, the clergy want John and Barbara to pose as the American Family. So, Barbara now has a make-believe husband and children, but her feelings for John are anything but make-believe. This was an interesting twist to a romance story. It was fun to watch as the lie builds so does John and Barbara's love for one another and the family that they have created. But, what happens if that lie is exposed? John and Barbara cannot really expect to get away with telling a lie to clergy, can they? Soon John and Barbara have to ask themselves if the family they have created is really a lie. John's twin children also add fun and excitement to the story.

Regina Raleigh is always in trouble. This time, however, it is more than she can handle. A black car has been stalking her. Regina is sure that it has something to do with her former business partner that ran off with all of the company's property, some of the clients property, and all the money. Regina's rich father, who is about to run for Congress and does not need a scandalous daughter, suggests to her that she marry Patrick Gallagher and move to Oregon. Regina immediately says yes, she is sure that an ex-military man could protect her from the men stalking her. Patrick Gallagher only wanted to ask Regina's father for a loan to save his families hotel. Patrick's first response to marrying a stranger was no, but gave in when Regina suggested they divorce in a year. So, they get married and head for Oregon. The trip turns into an adventure that neither of them will ever forget. This was a story of adventure and romance. Patrick is honest from the beginning of the story, but Gina wasn't. I thought that Patrick swallowed everything that was thrown at him a little too easy, but I guess the money for the hotel made it worth it to him. In the end, they both get more than they bargain for.

Finally Dori's Story ( Jensen)
Having enjoyed the Mckeon Brothers stories so much, I was excited to find this anthology of sorts. Finally we get to find out if Sal and Dori ever make it happen. But the story has a few interseting twists and some angst. that at times seemed to be a bit over done.

Dori finds she must come to terms with who and what she is to make a new start. Part of the plan includes divorcing her husband who left her at the alter, for another woman. But now two years later the problems keep mounting when she needs his help when she finds a baby in her back seat with a note saying the bio mothers no longer can care for him, oh yeah the baby come with $11,572 as well. Although both Sal and Dori join together to take care of Max, will it be enough to bring them together and keep them that way?

Not a fan of overbearing Latin men, I was especially pleased to find I really liked Sal. A great hero for our Dori if only she would quit whinning, but in true Mckeon fashion she rises to the occasion leaving the reader satisfied as well as the entire Mckeon clan.

For those who have read the other McKeon brothers books this is a must read, allyour favorites are back. And you get a backlist Stella Cameron story in the bargain, for the price of a single title. Not bad and a great read!!
