Reading this book by Howard inspired me to join an organization that is dedicated to the farmers of America. I recomend this book not only for it's historical review of the Grange but for the interesting stories of it's founders.

This book is a must have. At the Texas Book Festival (2002) this book caught my eye. Never heard of the photographer before but the book was exquisite: filled with stunning black and white pictures. Pictures of everyday things. Of people laughing, of streets and events - capturing the magic moments without a pose. It was a simple concept: One camera. One lens. One year. The results are photos that also capture the routine, sometimes humorous and often extraordinary moments of everyday life.

Although littered with 80's references which may trip up the reader at first, Pravda is the tale of an honest journalist who see's his profession debased through the growth of tabloids, the sensational shocking headlines and the British public's lust for sex, royalty and nationalism. Into this arena walks La Roux, cunning, devious and calculating, a very thinly veiled Murdoch his personality turns everyone towards him, controlling the worlds of royalty, sports, politics and at the end the world of journalism, forcing even the "hero" of the book to give up his honest journalistic instincts and start calling for smut.

Lazear's book is a fantastic resource to have in all classrooms. This book is wonderful for elementary and secondary teachers. The book has an easy to use format which breaks down each intelligence and gives ideas of teaching to the intelligence. The book also has very helpful charts and facts sheets.

This was a very interesting book for me to read because Edward Lee Howard's son lives by me and goes to school with my sister. I also think it was very informative on how he got away.

Very surprised that this book is not reviewed much. Has great case-based questions for a majority of the tested topics with detailed and valuable answers that help to distinguish between even the most apparently similar diagnosis. It is question and answer based USMLE Step 2 review at its very best. Because of this book, I passed Step 2 after an initial unsuccessful try using other really dry, boring review books that just took up space on my bookshelf. Keep it simple, this book is all you need for Step 2. Thanks a bunch to Dr. Alario and the whole cast for having written such an exceptional review book.

Themes from Kaplan
Published in Hardcover by Oxford Univ Pr on Demand (1989)
Amazon base price: $70.00
Average review score:

This is one of those books that falls out of print and causes mass panic in graduate student communities as we find ourselves hunting for copies with on-line rare book search engines with no hope for success. Can't find it used when no one will let go of it. Saints be praised, its back. Kaplan's essays 'demonstratives' and 'afterthoughts' are classics and need to be studied by anyone interested in the golden triangle of philosophy (phil. language, mind, and epistemology). Kit Fine's essay on de re modality is excellent, and with articles by Peacocke, Wettstein, Almog, and a host of other friends of Kaplan, no entry will fail to repay serious attention. Do not miss the opportunity to purchase this book.

Stunning large-format black-and-white photographs of buildings and people in the Greek Islands. The often minimalistic images eloquently capture the spirit of the islands and their inhabitants. Highly recommended for lovers of Greece, Mediterranean architecture and fine-art photography

A great gift for a "new" New Yorker from a more outdoorsy area or a born and bred city dweller looking for a new adventure.
