The book was okay in the suspense of unexpected events, but the main character's ignorance of the truth for such a long time was a drag. The suspense is thrown off when you get the vampire's view of the stupidity of people in the town. It does leave some want in the development of events, but overall an okay book for younger audiences.

This book is seductive and mysterious as it tells the story of a girl haunted by her past. A vampire is lurking near Salem U. and she is determined to reveal his identity. The ending is sweet and powerful at the same time. You won't be disappointed

This book was very well written and had a lot of suspense and kept me guessing. I'd never really liked amusement parks anyway, but after reading this book, I don't want to ever go on one in my life. This is the first Diane Hoh book I've read, (although some say she goes under the alias of Lindsay Caldwell), and it was very good. I'll have to get another out of the library.

Oh my gosh, this book is a must read!! I never ever guessed the baddy in the book. The person was the least expected. Diane Hoh keeps you in suspense in this book all the way through. I could hardly put the book down. I was literally glued to the book. :)=good

Oh my! THis was a really good book, but the end is very surprising. Diane Hoh keeps you in suspense right until the very end. She makes you paranoid about everyone in the book only to discover that the one you're least worried about is really your enemy. Looking back I missed a lot of obvious clues to the guilty party and I got caught up in stereotypes but it's still a really great book.

I read this book last year and thought it was fairly good. I don't ssee whats so great about it. I have read ALOT of horror books(146) and there was nothing special about this book. The ending was good. There weren't alot of events. Only about 2. But it was still a good book.

I havent read a whole lot of Nightmare Hall books, but out of the few Ive read, this one is the best. It is full of twists and turns, and tons of suspence. This wasnt one of the books that you could pick out who was doing all the stuff to terrorize the girls. I was very, /very/ surprized when I found out who it was. You /have/ to read this.

The roommate was Diane Hoh's most original and suprising book. There are four girls who share a room. Danny was the main charector and she shared her side of the room with someone who seems mad, but is she the mad one? Wierd things start happennig to Danny, but things aren't always what they seem.

I have read the majority of the Nightmare Hall series, but this was probably my worst. It starts brilliant, excellent attacks, and even a very clever twist ( just like The Roommate ). But I didn't like the idea of mutation. Since it was clever it deserves 3 stars, But since it was probably Hoh's worst book ever, I'm gonna give it 2 stars

Abby Mcdonald is sure that there is a monster on campus but how sure with all the happenings on salem any thing is possible but Abby is determined to learn the truth or is she with all the things she has to worrie about she might not want to know the truth a least not now this story is shocking terrifienig and sad

Wow! This was such a GREAT book! You HAVE to read it!!! It makes you question whether monsters really exist and more importantly, how to get rid of them! When Abby learns about a murderous monster at Salem U., she is determined to get to the bottom of it. She's certain that one of her closest friends is the monster in disguise--but does she really want to know the truth? The ending will have your heart pounding, I promise. Only Diane Hoh could have concocted such a strange twist to the story

I just ordered this book like 3 weeks ago and finished it in 3 days. It was a really good book and it was clever how Hoh made this conflict. Although at the end, it's a really, really, big shocker. I couldn't believe it. I recommend this book to anyone.

The book was pretty good.A killer seeks for revenge, and Addie Adair gets caught up in the middle by finding a computer disk with a file of coding. She finds a scary surprise later on... A pretty norml, usual scary story that was good.

If you don't know much about computers or cryptography, then you might be impressed with this book. I wasn't. Here are the problems I found with it: 1) Why was the killer so stupid that he didn't password protect the computer file? It's so easy to do that and so stupid not to do that. 2) Why did the killer even make the computer file when he was worried about being discovered in the first place? 3) The code was really, really simple. I was hoping that it would be a substitution cipher or something at least a little sophisticated. Nope. I've read all of the Nightmare Hall series, and the killer was kind of obvious to me so there wasn't ANY surprise or anticipation. Anti-climactic. Instead of reading this one, try "Prom Date", "The Accident" or "The Invitation", all by Diane Hoh. They aren't part of the Nightmare Hall series, but infinitely more interesting.

Titanic: The Long Night told a story of the Titanic disaster through the lives of five fictional teenagers on board to doomed ocean liner. Now, Remembering the Titanic tells what happened to these characters after the disaster. It's April, 1913, one year later. Katie Hanrahan is struggling to build her career as a singer in New York. Paddy Kelleher is trying to write a book on the disaster, but every time he attempts to write about it, he can't stop thinking about Brian, the older brother he lost in the sinking. Max Whittaker has realized his dream of becoming an artist and living independent of his parents in New York, but he's having disagrements with Elizabeth, who is having trouble breaking free of the mother she promised her father she'd look after when they said goodbye on the deck of the sinking ship. When Elizabeth sees the dark, depressings paintings of the Titanic disaster that he has painted, she realizes that he, too, is struggling with the same aganozing me! ! mories of the Titanic sinking that she is. Can Elizabeth, Max, Katie, and Paddy rebuild their lives after such a devestating tragedy?

this books just tells the story of how they have to put their lives back together after the tragedy. it is hard for all of them to tell their feelings to the person they love and that creates anger and resentment in them. it shows their blossoming or not blossoming careers in America and in Katie, a longing for Ireland. i think this book is a great sequel to the first one, which is prolly one of my favorite books, and i seriously wish she would write another book. recommended for anyone!

To finish the remark above, even though it may have been the only novel I've read... Anyways, I'm sure I wont read a better one. THIS BOOK IS NOT BORING FOR 1 REASON:there's the life of a young irish girl who boarded on steerage, and then a rich 1rst class girl who's father died and was asked to promise to take care of her sppoiled mother forever. Unfortunately, this young girl will have to give up many things that could help her promising future, or will she...? And for the young irish girl, who loves to sing, and loves her boyfriend, will she go forward in her wanted career, and will she forever adore her beloved Paddy? READ IT AND YOU'LL SEE......

From the start this book is a lot like Wes Craven's Wishmaster, except The Wish was a little better. Like Wishmaster, it has clever ways of granting the Wishes, and at least The Wish had a proper horror feel to it. Overall, this book wasn't great, I felt so let down after reading it

This book was originally gonna get 2.5 stars from me, but thats not an option, so I gave it 3 stars. This book was just....Blah! I mean, it was so unrealistic. I mean, the wizard was actually real. I dont remember this book to well cuz its been about a year since I've read it, but I remember one thing. I think it was that one girl wished off 10 pounds or something, but the wizard let her keep losin weight til she was in the hospital. Do yourself a favor and dont read this book. Read "The Roomate" that was /actually/ a good book. Probably the best book inthis whole series.

This book is wonderful. It is about a girl named Alex who is in college and goes to a restaurant with some of her friends and notices a scary mechanical wizard. Ever since she and her friends saw the wizard bad things started happening to Alex and her friends. I liked this book because it kept you in suspense. It tells a good story too, it's not just about how some little boy lost his dog. It keeps on surprising you as you read it because what happens does'nt even come to mind that it will happen. What I did'nt like about the book was that they added a character who does'nt even need to be in the book. She's just an annoying girl who really plays no role in the story. But it's an overall good book. It's probably one of the best books I've ever read. I recommend this book to pretty much anyone. Especially if you like scary but not too scary books. This author has written alot of other scary stories too. They're also very good. I would recommend almost all of her books to lots of people. Some of her books are more intense than others. But they're all good.

It was all right, but I wasn't exactly excited by it. It wasn't suspensful like "The Biker", "Revenge" or "Sororitry Sister" Not one of her best work

Well, like most Diane Hoh's writing, I was interested, but not riveted. I like some of her books better than this one. 'Dark Moon' was okay, but I didn't really like the main character. She couldn't seem to just get passed her problems with her mother. I DID enjoy the part where she goes in the house of mirrors, though. I also knew who the guilty person was through the whole thing.

This book was really good. During the events that were happening, it was kind of hard to find out who was the real killer. The killer who was doing all those bad things to people. I liked it when they were talking about superstition including the moon.

I was gonna give this book 3.5 stars, but thats not an option, so I just stretched the truth a little. I thought that this book was going to have a little more action than it did. But it was totally slow moving, and easy to put together. I mean dont you thinks its just a /tad/ bit suspious that the coach would want all the girls to move to this dorm where only they would be living during cheerleading tryouts? I did.

I would recomend this book to any body who likes to be scared. Delle Arlen wants nothing more that to make the cheerleading squad. But mysterious events keep occuring. Too many people have died. What is the truth behind these death?
This book will take your breath away. If you have asthma watch out. Have your inhaler at all times or else.
Pick up Diane Hoh's "Nightmare Hall the Scream Team" if you dare.
