Really nice pictures and colors
I know this book by heart. The best thing about it is the great, colorful pictures. Parents will be able to go above and beyond the simple story line to get their child involved in what's happening in the picture, as Elmo and Grover's grandad go for ice cream, listen to musicians, go to the zoo, etc. One caveat: Elmo doesn't ask his parents if it's okay to go somewhere with Grover's grandpa. Not a big deal, but not something to be glossed over in this day and age...

great for a toddler with bigger kids around
My 2 year old relates so much to this sorry. She really understands Elmos pain when he falls down and hurts his knee. It is a MUST read, requested daily by my little Elmo lover

ok, not the best
this book is cute for older toddlers (3,4) but for my 18-month-old, it just wasn't clear enough. the colors were sort of washed out and faded-looking. however, i'm sure a 3 or 4-year-old would enjoy the cute poems!

Must Have
This is the book that my 2 yr old keeps coming back to. She loves Elmo (as all 2 yr olds do!) This book is the perfect length and does a great job teaching colors.
Sesame Street once again does it right! They seem to always make learning fun with their loved characters and easy to follow lessons.

One of my daughter's favorites
My 13 month old daughter loves this and all of the SS toddler books. She pushes some of her book away, and hands me the ones she likes me to read; this one is always among the ones handed to me!

nice try
I didn't like their definition of manners. When Cookie monster wanted a cookie he said "gimme cookie-me want cookie". In the book elmo teaches that cookie monster should actually say "gimme cookie, please". I just don't consider that good manners. Other than that it's O.K.

You can't lose with Elmo!
My almost 10 month old son loves Elmo. But truthfully, I think he likes holding the book (great for diaper changes) more than he likes to hear it read to him. But I do use this book bedtime, and it works like a charm!

I love it and my son does too!
This book is wonderful. Not only did it motivate my 2 year old to learn the words please and thank you, he seems to have learned alot more with his Sesame Street pals here. The picures are so vivid and life like (or should I say character like :>)we've used this book to identify his pals, learn body parts (where is Cookie Monsters eyes...) and learn colors. Great book at an amazingly low price!

Elmo-esque coloring book
On a recent trip we purchased many activity and sticker books to keep our toddler occupied. Though this item was a big 64-pages, it was not very entertaining or educational. Unless your little one is a huge Elmo fan you would probably do better with another book, though for very young fans who like to color this would be a good choice.

An educational coloring book.
The age group denotes baby-preschool and I thought I was ordering a book about clothing and getting dressed that I could to read to my toddler. It is actually an interactive coloring and activity book, with matching, finding and connect-the-dot games. The coloring book itself is well done but it is not for the baby or early toddler age. It does look like a fun and educational activity book for late toddler and preschool aged children. With no more than three pictures to match or 11 dots to connect, it makes an excellent first activity book.

American Revolutionary
Like the revolutionary "Steal This Book," and "Anarchist's Cook Book" of the 60's, the heroic Elmo weaves a tapestry of resourcefulness in modern America. The reader is left breathless as Elmo cuts and dodges his way through the street scene of his home, scoring various articles of clothing as well as other forms of life's pleasures. An important resource for today's American child facing a cold cruel world.

A favorite with the little ones
This book is very popular with my one year old. First, he loves Elmo and he loves animals. Also, my busy little one does not sit still very long and this book is brief enough to complete in a very short time. It is sturdy and colorful and I am certain that our copy will wear out someday and we will be buying another one.

Meet the numbers
Elmo fans will enjoy this way to learn about numbers...Elmo helps readers count objects such as birthday cakes, butterflies and even ice cream trucks.

Elmo offers encouragement throughout the book, offering praise for counting correctly. At the end of the book, toddlers reach the "surprise" that Elmo refers to throughout the book -- the chance to "meet" all the numbers.

Just in time
This book helped my daughter let go of her favorite rag doll long enough for me to wash it. She didn't want me to put in the washing machine, but with the help of this book she learned that she would get it back.

Early Santa Fe and Taos Art Colonies in Mabel's World
In December of 1917, Mabel Dodge Luhan, a wealthy patron of the arts, arrived in the very rural community of Taos, New Mexico. She arrived with an emotional need that drove her to be a focal point and a catalyst in the New Mexico art community. Although she died in 1962, she is still a controversial figure in Taos, where her spirit lingers in her house; now a Bread and Breakfast frequently used for artists retreats. Her personal artistic expression is found in the books she wrote, but she is best known for the amazing role she played in drawing painters, writers, and other artists to Taos and Santa Fe.

"Mabel's Santa Fe and Taos" gives a brief biography of Mabel and of many of the most famous people whose lives she influenced. The people covered in this book include Charles Lummis, Adolf Bandelier, the Taos Society of Artists, Alice Corbin Henderson and William Penhallow Henderson, Witter Bynner, Spud Johnson, Andrew Dasburg, D.H Lawrence and Frieda Lawrence, Dorothy Brett, and Georgia O'Keefe. This book also contains historical information about the culture of Taos and Santa Fe from 1900-1950, weaving together the people and the places in Mabel's world.

The text is informative and well written. Black and white photographs of the people and places are found throughout the book. Although this is an excellent overview that could be appreciated and understood by those new to the subject, it can also be used to summarize previous knowledge of the Santa Fe and Taos art colony during this time period.

Fun reading
Reading this book is like watching a session of "Elmo's World". It is fun and simple and my daughter loves it. The page where she squeaks with delight is full of colored balloons and what better ways to teach color!

Very comprehensive grammar
This is one of the most comprehensive grammars available on Japanese. Although old layout and typesetting has a detrimental effect on the readability, this is a must-have for any student of the Japanese language with aspirations towards linguistics.
