Thorough and practical
This book covers quality assurance of web systems beyond merely testing. It offers practical insight for designers, developers, project managers and quality assurance team members. A big bonus is the appendix which details and compares automated test tools.

A must-have for any web systems tester
This book is excellent for any web systems tester. It covers all areas of functional and non-functional testing related to the Web.
It covers how to most efficiently model a web application using a specific use case approach, in addition it covers how to test for security, performance, usability of a web site. The book has been very useful in our testing efforts.

Excellent book on various quality topics
This book was a joy to read. It gives a great overview of quality issues within "Web systems" - meaning Web applications and architectures. The book balances a too-specific look with a too-general look and succeeds quite well in a balanced treatment that will make the whole worth the attention of any quality assurance or quality tester professional in the Information Technology industry.

In particular, the second chapter, on the RSI Approach, is a nice addition as this is something that most practitioners of quality subjects will not find elsewhere and the general subject matter is generally that which is avoided in books of this type. Another topic often avoided in these books is that of usability and accessibility concerns and yet these are covered here in good detail chapter six.

In general, I think the book offered a great amount of detail just where it was needed and gave a lot of "mini best-practices" in each chapter with the use of bulleted lists to highlight specific points. The detail of the book extends to various topics, like performance, compatibility, usability, and security - all topics that are of high concern in the current world of making qualitly Web systems that customers and user respond to. The appendices in the book are also excellent. The "Test Tool Evaluations" section will be a welcome addition to those who wish there are more concise evaluation forms for automated tool solutions.

I highly recommend this book to quality assurance/testing professionals, quality assurance managers, and even those who work more in the project management and development spheres. Those latter will get benefit from the book because the book manages to highlight topics of concern to both groups and also gives them insight into the quality aspects of the projects and products that are developed within an organization.

You Don't Need Another Calorie Book!
I have many books that count calories, fats, and carbs. They are usually too big to lug around or dont have many of our favorate foods listed as we know them, making them a chore to use. This is the only calorie counter you will need, its small and surprisingly has 99.9% of the foods we are eating at your fingertips. Unless u are a Doctor, this book will be fine for your everyday use. I have several other calorie books and this one is the one I USE daily.

Carbohydrate, Fat and Calorie Guide
The Carbohydrate, Fat and Calorie Guide has been an immensely powerful and helpful tool in helping me to make healthier food choices. Because it is pocket-sized and easy to read, the guide is incredibly convenient and simple to use. It is the best and most practical Carb, Fat & Calorie Guide I have found on the market.

Perfect Size for your Purse!
I really liked this book. I bought it to help count fat and cholesterol but it really is small and thin, perfect to carry around everywhere in my purse. And it has all the necessary information on tons of real, everyday foods.

An exciting, riveting tale
Superbly narrated by Jim Weiss, The Cat Of Bubastes is an exciting, riveting tale by G.A. Henty of Chebron (son of the Egyptian High Priest Ameres) and Amuba (a slave in the Ameres' household). Chebron accidentally kills a cat which is an act of sacrilege to the ancient Egyptians and the punishment is death. He and Amuba flee and in doing so find themselves embarking on the high road of adventure as they encounter life and death experiences among peoples of antiquity. The Cat Of Bubastes is a technically flawless, six CD, unabridged, six hour audio book and strongly recommended for personal and community library audio book collections.

Cat of Bubastes
viewer from Califronia 1st published over 100 years ago, G.A. Henty's novels fill a void in the area of literature that is appropriate for kids! It is full of adventure and is written in a style that kids will read comfortably. The 15 year old hero, the prince of a small nation invaded by the Egyptians,is of strong moral character and boys, especially, will love the story of his captivity! Packed full of details: Egyptian architecture, family life, methods of warfare, government, geography, religion, and more! Even a cameo appearance by Moses, himself! As a homeschooling mother, I bought this book for my 6th grader to supplelment our history studies. I found myself reading it whenever she put it down and we were devouring it together for an entire weekend. Can't wait to get more Henty novels!

Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful! 5 stars!
This book is very good. The plot is excellent, although sometimes the author is to descriptive. Try it out! One of the best books I've read.

Highly Recommended
Absolutely the best book I have read on this subject! Couldn't recommend it more! This is my favorite bridal shower gift, as it is a helpful tool for getting started learning about the sexual relationship and is a great resource for years into exploring the gift of sex in marriage. Doesn't hide anything, comes complete with illustrations and celebrates a proper respect for the body and sexual intimacy.

Great Resource for Counseling
I have used this text for both premarital and marital counseling since it was first published. It is excellently written and biblically sound. When complemented with other texts by James Dobson, Gary Smalley and Ed Wheat, it makes an unbeatable resource to help couples gain a healthy, biblical view of sexuality in marriage.

GREAT RESOURCE FOR ALL MARRIED COUPLES
I bought this book as was recommened by my christian counselor. This book is ideal for couples to read together, if you both are willing. I appreciate the referencing of biblical bases for all chapters and suggestions. It was well worth my investment.

Joe Ottati's Book Review
The novel Wingman:The circle War by Mack Maloney in my opinion is a vey sosphisticated book. Ithink that the novel has a good plot and the author uses literary elements. The basic plot had an ace fighter pilot Hawk Hunter, who was fighting to keep the spirit of his country alive. After hearing a report of Russian SAMs deep in the Bad Lands,Hunter would have to stop the Russians plan to win the war. Hunter goes on solo missions to find and destroy the Russian SAMs. Once hes in to deep to call for backup, Hawk finds himself waging a one man war.Teh setting of this book is the ruins of America and the Bad Lands from North Dakota to Texas. The main character is Hawk Hunter who is a fighter pilot fighting whats left of the war. Some of the key literary elements of the novel are imagery and suspense. There are many examples of these two elements. Two of them are found on pages 145 and 107. These elements helped make the book interesting and helped make the basic ides clear. I would basically keep the novel the way it is. The only change I would make is to put more personification into the book. this in my favor would give the book more suspense and imagery.

These are the best series books to collect!
This book is the best book I've read in a long time. I usally don't like to read but ever sinse I read the first book, and this book it's great. I love the F-16 fighting falcon, and sinse it is the main plane that Hunter uses is really thrilling. I am looking forward of collecting, and reading the whole series. It is full of thrilling moments that are enjoyable to read DON'T STOP WRITING THESE BOOKS. THEY ARE AWSOME,YOUR THE MAN MACK!

Great squeal
This was a wonderful sequel to the first Wingman, and I can't wait to see what happens to Hawk Hunter in the next book

A Great Window Into Ramana's Teachings
This is one of the most useful and impactful books on Ramana Maharshi. Having read "all" of his works, when Matthew Greenblatt first presented this book, it really changed the standard on how to access Ramana. So much of Ramana's teachings are visual, or in silence, that, more than virtually any other teacher, this is a uniquely powerful way to convey his messages. If you buy no other book on Ramana, buy this one - everything is there. Among many "hard core" Ramana Maharshi folk, this has rapidly become the great favorite. Buy it - it can change your life.

A BEAUTIFUL BOOK.
This book has become one of my favorites. It is filled with clear black and white photographs of Ramana Maharshi. Inserted on the pictures are GEMS of Ramana's teachings. The quotes are distilled and arranged in such a way to make them tremendously potent. I read a few pages at a time as I look at the pictures. I start feeling enlightenment. The words are dripping with profound simple insight into our apparent condition. The phantom self begins to drop away, peace begins to bring it's light, there is no need to seek. There is nowhere we need to go, it's all center, nobody's going anywhere. Time and space are but an illusion. Reading the words in this book. It's so simple and clear. All seeking, even religious seeking assume a separation from the infinite but the infinite is always here and now. Seeking objectifies and distances the infinite from us. It can even strenghthen the ego, now one has become a super holier than thou ego. There might be a certain readiness needed for this teaching. Some methods use seeking and a distance from God. Sometimes one needs to keep seeking because of all the commotion going on in one's soul. A tempest is blasting in one's soul and sometimes we are too in a hurry to be in the present. We've got things to do and places to go, you know. If you've begun to see the futility of seeking then you are ready for this book. You'll experience quiet, peace and stillness and an ordinary contentment with what is. What you feel after this depends on how much you contemplate and meditate upon these words and finally go beyond them into your REAL SELF. There is the phantom self and your REAL SELF. This book can help you find your REAL SELF that has been here all along, remember...?

a pilgrimage in book form
this beautiful book is a treat for anyone interested in spiritual insight. ramana maharshi was a wise man and more: an illumined man. the photos are beautiful, the text, though brief, is sublime. he insists we are o k just as we are. we fail to realize it because we fail to know ourselves as we really are; infinite and divine. to read this book is to partake in a visual and philosophical feast. its brevity demands attention. its truths have the power to enlighten. enjoy this book as a meditation which will help you see and know your true Self.

Rosa Parks

Satisfying and Inspirational
This biography of Rosa Parks presents a very well balanced, fair description of its subject. Regrettably, as with Martin Luther King Jr., social activists and historians have all too often exalted the heroes of the Civil Rights movement beyond the bounds of human existence. This deification is both degrading and unfair, as it not only deprives our heroes of the right to live - and die - as normal human beings, but it also places many of them out of reach - discouraging many to whom them would otherwise serve as excellent role models.

In refreshing contrast to that destructive tendency, this book does an excellent job of peeling back the aura around Rosa Parks and depicting her as the simple, virtuous woman that she is. Brinkley's depiction of her is refreshingly human and honest, and he does a magnificent job of describing her in the simple, straightforward way that so characterizes her.

Also worthy of note is Brinkley's willingness to include so many of Rosa Park's circle of acquaintances in his narrative. From her hard-drinking yet loyal husband to people who have met her only briefly, he touches on their influences on her life, their reaction to her, and what they all mean within the greater scope of her place in our history and society.

Regrettably, whites - with a few notable exceptions - are seen as oppressive, racist boors with a permanent vendetta. Even at that time, that was not true.

Overall, this book is an excellent, enjoyable, and enlightening read - and one that does refreshing justice to the woman and warrior that Rosa Parks is.

Vivid Portrait of an American Heroine
Written with an eloquence and grace more often associated with poets than with academic historians, Douglas Brinkley's biography of Rosa Parks (part of the highly-touted Viking 'Penguin Lives' Series) is a moving portrait of an iconic American figure. 'Rosa Parks' relates not only the climactic moment of Ms. Parks' courageous refusal to relinquish her seat on a segregated bus one winter day in Montgomery Alabama, which triggered one of the seminal events of the Civil Rights Movement, it also weaves together a compelling narrative of one woman's path from the struggles of her youth in Tuskegee, Alabama to her post-boycott experiences in Montgomery and Detroit. Brinkley's research for the book is remarkable. He obtained rare interviews with Ms. Parks herself, and presents illuminating new details about her life and the Civil Rights Movement of which she was a part. Brinkley's depiction of Ms. Parks' encounter with Nelson Mandela alone will move even the most jaded of readers. Intended for lay readers while invaluable for scholars, Brinkley's exquisite literary craftsmanship has resulted in a work that will stand as a classic, not only in the fields of African-American and women's history, but among the great works of American history and biography as a whole.

UNAPPRECIATED ACTIVIST
Rosa Parks is a name we should know. As an icon of the civil rights movement, her legendary refusal to give up her seat on the segregated bus started one of the greatest revolutions since the Civil War. Many of us a familiar with this non-assuming woman who was the catalyst in inspiring the careers of Martin Luther King, Jr. and other famous civil rights activists.

We are comfortable with the image of the mild mannered Christian woman who always stayed in the background. Ah, but just how much do we really know about Rosa Parks except for the myth created? Are we really appreciative and aware of this woman who has been ignored only to be thought of again when politically expedient for others? Douglas Brinkley, in this short concise biography, removes the shroud of obscurity and myth about Rosa Parks. For the first time we are shown that the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement" was more militant than we suspect. A highly intelligent and organized person, Mrs. Parks was an activist long before her famous bus ride and was very informed about what was going on in the movement locally as well as globally.

The Rosa Parks presented in this text had a great aura of spirituality, strength and dignity that exuded calm during a period of unrest. Misunderstood by her peers and her friends Rosa Parks emerged as the underlying spirit that enabled the movement to begin its course of action.

We learn about the Rosa Parks who was a quiet young woman but had a fierce anger against injustice. She stayed an activist throughout her life inspite of the personal hardships in her marriage and with her mother. She is a woman of great spiritual strength and power. Brinkley presents us with a portrait of a woman that we never knew and have come to rediscover.

This is the answer to years of stress related problems
I recently had to cut short a business trip due to extreme leg pain that lasted day and night. I went through the usual period of treatment by my GP with medications and rest before seeing a Surgeon. He recommended steroid shots and Chiropractric treatments. I found Back Sense and read it just after the shots. It confirmed what I had suspected for years. That my leg pain is directly related to stress. After reading and following the book I have had very good results. I recommend this book for anyone who has ever suffered from neck or back related pain.

This book gave me "my life" back again!
After a fall, I suffered from chronic leg pain for a period of 20 months before finding this book. For 20 months I spent countless hours seeing doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, message therapists, and other health practitioners, including acupuncture. I was desperate to get well. I had made progress, but I still felt it very difficult to walk or move normally--I was still in essence "crippled," and I feared my life might never been normal again. Then I found this remarkable book. In the period of time it took me to read the first few chapters, I knew what the authors were suggesting would work for me. I was able to immediately implement the principles. I got up from where I was reading and began to walk completely normally for the first time in over a year and a half. Soon thereafter, I found myself bounding up stairs and skipping with joy. Three months later, I'm still doing great. I'm so happy to be "Free At Last!" If you suffer from chronic back, neck, or leg pain, I urge you to read this book. It may not have the same effect on you, but you have nothing to lose but your pain!

This book makes Sense of the pain. Try it!
I have had mild to moderate, with occasional severe, back pain for many years. Generally, the pain started when I was in graduate school. I thought that the long hours of sitting in class, reading and studying was damaging my "weak" back.

After reading this book, I started to realize how much stress was a major factor in my back pain. Just before I read the book I was visiting my chiropractor every week and getting a massage a couple times a month. I loved the treatments, but I was getting increasingly concerned that I had a serious problem with my back that was going to disable me, sooner, rather than later.

After finishing Backsense, I have stopped stressing about every twinge, tight muscle or pain in my back---and the pain has been much less and less frequent! I now enjoy my gym activities and play time with my children, knowing that my back is strong and healthy.

Backsense gave me a better understanding and confidence in the strength and durability of my back. It was easy to read and understand. Anyone searching for relief from back pain should read this book.
