Wonderful Children's Book
If your child is interested in dinosaurs and their lifestyles, I highly recommend this book. It's filled with stories about different dinos, and is very easy to read. I remember when I was little, I read this book from cover to cover at least 20 times!

Electromagnetic Fields and Your Health
This book is an excellent and thorough account of the subject. It offers background understanding of the science behind the issue and offers solutions and useful things people can do to protect themselves from EMF. It takes a factual, not an emotional approach, that is very effective in getting across some of the complex issues. There is also a questionarrie that people can use to rate their own level of EMF exposure. Highly recommended.

An excellent book for anyone with a love of falcons.
I picked this book up in an book outlet for 2.99, figuring that if it wasnt any good i hadn't wasted much. I was very surprised to find that this book is well-rounded, including information on many different types of falcon and their habits, the origins and history of falcons, and many beautiful pictures that helped make this book more interesting to read. While the book didn't go into enough depth on some topics, it was interesting enough to keep me reading until the end. For everyone who is fascinated by these beautiful creatures, I recommend this book very highly.

Soap writers have nothing on Lorenz!
This book is a piece of academic research, and at times it is hard to follow if you do not have the scientific background necessary. However, there are sections in this book more entertaining that network TV. When you read about the disagreements, battles, breakups, infidelities and romances that take place in a community of Greylag geese, you'd think you are reading a script for a new daytime soap opera. Konrad Lorenz could have easily moonlighted as a Hollywood writer. In addition to the hilarious antics of the geese, I finished the book with certainly more knowledge than before, and with a sense of admiration for these animals and the humans who painstakingly observed them.

The value is in the details
I bought this book to plan my Paria Canyon hike. The detail is astonishing- mileages, detailed maps and where to find water complete with historical information and photos. Every gooseneck and crack is described as well as the geology. The only demerits the author gets are: choosing a poor print font that is difficult to read. Mileages are in kilometers - an annoying mystery as he is a Utah native and the maps are somewhat confusing. I will submit a revised review AFTER my hike.

Unbeliavable Pictures!
As understood from it's name, Illustrated Guide to Rocks and Minerals, is not a reference book that can be used for identifying rocks and minerals but can be used to make people get exited about minerals and mineral collecting. The pictures that Michael O'Donoghue used in this large book were selected very carefully to show the world of minerals as an attracting piece of natural art. (Beyond all these perfect pictures, there is a little information that you can find in any other book)

Intriguing Life of Elephants in Zoos
This nonfiction book looks at the life of elephants in zoos. Since Dr. Schmidt was the zoo veterinarian of the Portland, Oregon, zoo for 25 years, he was entrusted with the health and well being of the herd of elephants that lived at the zoo.

Whatever your beliefs about animal rights, you will be interested to read about today's zoos. Dr. Schmidt traces the history of elephants used as tools of war and as laborers in the forests. He shows how the life of labor that these animals lived was more suitable to them than the lives they now lead in sterile, cramped cages in the zoo.

What are our responsibilities to these animals and how can we change their living conditions? There are no easy answers to these questions. This is a book that disturbs me. Will I continue to look for the answers? Perhaps. If you have thoughts about something that intrigues you, you may look into a book for the answer. However, I believe some books are written to ask important questions rather than to provide the answers.

Book of Dinosaurs review
We purchased this book for our three year old son. He loves the pictures in the book. He carries it around with him from morning thru bedtime and when he goes to sleep he takes it to bed and sleeps with it right next to him. He loves dinosaurs and knows many of the names of them. Thru this book he has learned not only more dinosaur names but specific information about the dinosaurs in this book. Though some of the text is a little advanced for him and there are certain parts my husband and I change when we read it, we still read this as his bedtime book at night. My two year old son is starting to become interested also. I thought my sons would never be interested in reading. They really are now, we just needed to find the right subject. They are very interested in dinosaurs.

Enjoyable & Different Account of the Waterloo Campaign
This was a very pleasing and easy to read account of the Waterloo Campaign, a bit different in style in that it takes you on a tourist type walk around the battlefield. The authors have produced a very well researched account of the battle and what you may find there now if you visited the site of the fighting. I was unsure if I would like this style of writing but I found it very enjoyable, with decent maps to follow the action and to find things present on the battlefield today. The photos and drawings were excellent and well chosen to assist in the narrative of the book. If you are planning to visit this great battlefield this book would be of great assistance. A delight to read!
