As good as guidebooks get
This is as good as a guidebook can get.

It is concise- it is not a encylopedia volume to lug around town; It is informative- with history of the city and its surroundings, the book is very thorough and written very very well; It is well illustrated- restaurants, hotels, attractions are color-coded differently and there are a ton of great illustrations that really do justice to the charm of the city.

Despite having grown up in Seattle, this book opened my eyes to a whole new world of places to go and restaurants to check out that I previously didn't see.

I would like to shake the hand of the man who put together such a fine guidebook- I have one for the Washington DC area as well!

An excellent, and candid, review of the city
I really liked how well Seattle was described, though in a very general manner. Small glimpses of the city were given and well critiqued. Very helpful, even for relocation.

Full Access
The ACCESS guides are so smartly organized by neighborhoods that you'll be lurking like a local in no time. The color coding for attractions, restaurants, hotels and shopping make skimming for your favorites a breeze. More often than not, their sly 'insider' comments are right on the money. I used ACCESS Washington, DC to acclimate myself to my new home, and I still use it whenever company comes to town. Like any travel guide, the latest edition is a must (but even that won't compensate for fickle diners and undercapitalized restauranteurs) and it's certainly time for a newer version than the 2000 edition. But having said that, I still purchase an ACCESS guide if I'm going to spend any time in a city I haven't fully explored.

Time tested style, another classic by Wurman.
Once again a jewel of a guide. Comprehensive, lively, logical and coherent. Like so many other city guides by Richard Saul Wurman, this book combines an architectural overview with historical, anecdotal and practical aspects of the city in such a way that makes it a great companion to have before during and after the visit. As a matter of fact even if you don't go, you get the pleasure of intimate knowledge of the place.

Information that gun owners really need to know
This book has all the gun laws word-for-word and in plain English too.

The Arizona Gun Owner's Guide includes all the state gun laws for having, buying, selling, carrying and using firearms; plus, the use of deadly force and self defense, concealed-carry licenses, special weapons, gun safety, school and kid laws, transportation, federal laws... you get the most complete coverage available for your state's handling of the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

Includes more than 150 self-test questions, 22 lethal-encounter scenarios for study and discussion, much more. Used in classes statewide and widely endorsed. Every gun owner needs a gun owner's guide. Why take chances, don't guess, and don't be sorry later.

•Answers your questions about owning, carrying and using guns

•It's like an entire firearms law library at your fingertips

•It doesn't make sense to own a gun and not know the rules

•You sure don't want to be in trouble for a rule you never heard of

•Ignorance is no excuse-it's better to know the rules

•You have a right to know what the laws are

•Cheaper than a lawyer, and better than many!

•It's actually fun to read!

•If you knew all your rights you might demand them

An absolute must for Arizona gun owners; plain English.
Alan Korwin has done a great job of summarizing the legalese in Arizona laws pertaining to guns and their utilization in this state. In clear and concise English, he explores the ins and outs of gun ownership, legal self-defense with a gun, carry restrictions, concealed-carry licensing, and legal definitions. Illustrated with cartoons to help you remember via visualization. Can you carry a concealed weapon with a license to do so in a restaurant? Check the book, and it tells you under what circumstances it's legal. What are the requirements to be issued a concealed carry license? Check the book. In short, it's an indispensible bible to be sure you walk the line responsibly with a firearm in Arizona. Ignorance of law is no excuse, and although Arizona is one of the most "firearms friendly" states in the union, there are pitfalls for the uninformed. This book covers them well and thoroughly.

Fantastic Book
This book is a great companion while traveling to Prescott. It has historical insights, beautiful photographs and is very detailed with interesting facts about the Prescott area.

Thoroughly researched
This book is a wonderful guide to both well-known and less popular points of interest in the Prescott area. The historical detail has obviously been well researched and is very fascinating, making the book an invaluable, must-have companion. The accompanying photographic documentation is also very complete.

Very handy guidebook and fun to read
This is the second edition of the original guidebook and while I didn't read the original one, I can say that this book was very handy to have when my wife and I toured Vermont. T The Schellers are very entertaining people who obviously have a sense of humor and they also have a good sense of what is interesting to visit and what isnt'. They also must have done a lot of driving. We tried out two of the drives they suggested and were amazed at all the things there were to discover along the way, not to mention the physical beauty of Vermont. Even looking at a map I doubt we would have discovered these drives on our own. We tried out some of their "finds" which I'd say were places we never would have found on our own and they made our trip truly special. The book is an amazing collection of information that covers history, hours of operation, interesting little tidbits and so on. Definitely worth the money.

A truly wonderful guide book that made my trip memorable.
My wife and I recently toured vermont by car and we were very glad to have this book. It made the trip a unique and memorable experience. We were able to find lots of little places that we never would have discovered without it, and met people "off the path" that were genuinely glad to see us. I strongly recommend this book to anyone planning to drive through vermont, even if it's only a short trip. Great book and very funny in places, too!
