CREEPIE
Tonight on "Moczygemba On..." I will be reviewing the book Daniel Cohen's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MONSTERS. Though not as comprehensive nor as obscure as William Corliss's INCREDIBLE LIFE (see under INCREDIBLE LIFE) which I reviewed some time ago, it covers a different territory, so what are you complaining about?!?
Divided up into individual sections pertaining to certain sub-categories, this book delves (huh...huh... I said "delves") into the monstrous world of CRYPTOZOOLOGY. One area discusses the eerie rumors, reports and hoaxes of EXTRATERRESTRIAL LIFE, such as the horrific MAD GASSER OF MATTOON (trust me, when I was ten it gave me nightmares) and SPRING HEELED JACK. More than one area is devoted to the possibility of species which science has yet to recognize, as well as some bizarre, yet officially recognized, specimens (much like INCREDIBLE LIFE [see under INCREDIBLE LIFE]). Other subjects include the folkloric tales of monsters (giants, vampires, etc.); nonhuman humanoids (the orang-pendek, the nondescript, and the ICE MAN); sea monsters (Nessie and friends); and last, but not least--- PHANTOMS: anomalous appearances of ordinary animals, ordinary appearances of anomalous animals, such evil specters as the HAIRY HANDS (trust me, when I was thirteen it gave me nightmares), devils, etc... And, I am PROUD to state:
***
GEF THE TALKING MONGOOSE _DOES_ IN FACT MAKE AN APPEARANCE BETWEEN THE COVERS OF THIS BOOK...
***
Thank you, you're too kind!!!
AMEN, Walter Moczygemba
Creepy ain't the half of it...
I must agree with Mister Moczygemba (see below). This book gave me the willies too. Does Goatman exist? Does Gef the mongoose really talk? Do phantom lions really haunt the English countryside? Perhaps we'll never know...

"The Monster's of Star Trek"
I thought your book "The Monster's of Star Trek" was not too bad because I loved the creatures and the wierd looking monsters that you included in your book.
I think the book is more of an doccumentry type of book more than a noval, but that's fine because the over all fact is that I enjoyed reading your book. I think it was rather interesting, especially the charicters that were in the book.
I really did not see any point in the book to be honest with you. One thing I think that you could include in your book is more action, because more action would have made the book more interesting.
Great job over all!

From the Salt Vampire to Tribbles!
As the name suggests, this book tells all about the monsters, aliens, and androids from the original Star Trek series. Each chapter is about different types of aliens, and there is an index to quickly find anything you want to know.

impartial and insightfull look at amcient U.F.O. "evidence"
This book, although a little out of date-"76"-, is still quite factual and thoughtful in it's approach and candor. The writer look's at the evidence with great care, allowing the reader-may be you-to come to thier on conclusion. This a fun and interesting book that I would recomend to a skeptical and/or opened minded person...If that's not you, read it any way's, it aint gonna kill ya!

"Chime" is a great life changing tool
As the author of the behavior based recovery theory at alcoholic.org, meant to be an alternative to AA, I am regularly reviewing new tools that can be used in peoples abstention efforts. Chime for a Change is now the top tool on my list. It's an easy read, quickly and easily implementable by anyone. It's a straight forward and simple concept that can be used to make major life changes. Whether you are trying to change a powerfully addictive behavior, or just want to be more "present" in your day to day activities, I highly recommend Chime for a Change.

Huge Explosion!
"Suddenly, there was an enourmous flash of light, the brightest light I have ever seen, or that I think anyone has ever seen. It blasted; it pounced; it bored its way through you. It was a vision which was seen with more than with the eye." These are the words of phsicist Isodore I. Rabiabout the explosion of the test atomic bomb.I really enjoyed this book because it was about World War II and I like to read books about World War II. But, if you like war stories you should try reading the American War series because I think that they are more exciting. But, I still recommend this book to anyone that likes to read about World War II or is interested in the atomic bomb.

Good book with a dumb cover
This is a pretty good book that has stories about ghosts and things an roads and railroads, and it is pretty creepy. But this book has a totally stupid cover, a man is sticking his head out the window while a huge thing is flying there. That is the last thing I would do if I saw something like that!

UFO's The Third wave
UFOs are always facinating to think about. They ask us 1 question-Is there anything out there? Nobody knows for sure if UFOs exist. Although this book gives us a large amount of facts and some roomers that were out in that time when ufoenthusiats or ufologists were relatively new. We all believe that ufo exploration began lately because of recent technology, but it is not true. UFOexploration began in 1947. On earth,as scientists predict, there will always be controversies until an extraterrestrial reveals himself to us. This will happen because of the fact that they are superior.
I like the fact in the book that to continue to have the readers attention the author uses roomers. For example, in one of the stories the book goes"According to persistant roomers, this is what happened:" and he completes the story. He doesn't do it is one strory he continues it in all of them, but he also has a non-fictional part.
The author Daniel Cohen, displays his knowledge in a creative way. He says "In the begining" to give out
non-fictional details. He tells us about the three waves of UFOexploration."The first one began in 1947 there was initial interest in UFOexplorarion, but later it faded. Spectaculr sightingsin Michigan interested a lot of people and finally we are in the third wave supposedly the best of all because of the technology we have."
I love the part were Daniel Cohen tells us about the stories
that have affected human lives. Although if I had to choose one it would be the Cosmic watergate it is a wonderful story and the author uses several refrences to it. That will have to be my favorite part in the book.
