Interesting subject
I was surprised to find out that Ms. Christie herself had a mystery surrounding her disappearance in 1926, so I was interested to find this book. But I would have called it, "The Agatha and the Ecstasy."

The most interesting and unique mystery I've ever read!!!!!
The queen of mystery biggest mystery was her own. It was incredible to me to find out that Agetha had a mystery of her own that she could not solve. Doctor Owens approach to solving Agetha's mystery was fascinating and a real page turner. It was the most uniqe books I've ever read. Using Agetha history and passages from her books to coherently solve a previously unsolved mystery was a stroke of brillance. Dr. Owens takes us on an intelletual ride that keeps you interested from the first to the last page. The solution was so satisfing that I felt 100% confident that the ultiment mystery was finally solved. YOU WILL HAVE TO READ IT FOR YOURSELF TO BE LET IN ON THE SECRET! The solution and writting is something that Augetha would be proud to have authored herself 5 STARS!

We are the publisher of The Lost Days of Agatha Christie
The Lost Days is not an easy read, but if you are interested in solving the mysteries of the human mind and the mystery of Agatha Christie's disappearance in 1926, The Lost Days is a very satisfying experience. Author Owens, a therapist, has done a very interesting thing, she has taken Agatha on as a client and the therapy session solves a seventy-year-old mystery as no one else ever has including the great Queen of Mysteries, Agatha herself.

A Stunning Novel!
A great story, lots of twists and turns to see where it is going. The narrator gives a fascinating look at what it's like to be disabled.

Track it down
Warning. This is not your typical Agatha Christie. This isn't even a typical mystery. It's a tragedy, a gothic and a love story about an ethereal young woman, the three men who loved her and the fruit of her incredible sacrifice.

Really makes you think
This is a great story, told in a necessarily slow fashion, that will really make you think.

I have been thinking about this character for 15 years...
Agatha Christie believed that a person is never truly alone when by themselves. There is always someone, a book, a song or an activity of some nature. She believed that absolute solitary, outside of the interference of any person or object, would lead to a profound reflection of who we really are. In absent in the Spring, she tells of the journey of self discovery of one woman which was brought on by an unexpected retreat in the desert out in the middle of nothing. This undesired reflection, which had been avoided at all costs, brings Joan, the main character, to great discoveries about her own life. Step by step, the veil, which shrouds a superficial and frivolous existence, is removed. This is a solitary, painful and transforming journey. This book, written more than 50 years ago, takes on an incredible relevance in our present world. This is a world that offers an excess of outside stimulus and very little of internal relevance. To wonder that Agatha Christie wrote this book before the advent of the television, computer, Internet, etc. is surprising and stands her out as an author of intuition, vision and definitely ahead of her time. This is a book that you simply cannot miss. It will make you reflect on your life and the way with which you view the world. In the very least it ought to save you a few trips to your therapist.

Great Audio!
Philomel Cottage: Alix Marin, in love with a man for 11 years, suddenly falls for a stranger and marries him instead. After moving to the country things begin to become curious. Her new husband stories don't seem to add up. She decides to investigate and finds out she is the one in danger...

The Red Signal: Dermot West joins his best friend and others for dinner and a little entertainment with a psychic. Dermont mentions a sixth sense he has as a sign of danger. He calls it the red signal. He doesn't mention he has only experienced it twice, once long ago and tonight at dinner. The message from the psychic during the entertainment is "Don't go home. Danger awaits you." Who is she speaking to? Does it go with the red signal Dermont senses?

The Spanish Shawl: A writer is looking for a story idea to write a mystery. He comes up with, THE MYSTERY OF THE SECOND CUCUMBER, a garden mystery. But before he could begin to write the story, he receives a phone call from a foreign woman who says... "Cucumber." In going to meet her he finds himself wrapped up in a "real" cucumber mystery...

Of course Agatha Christie is a favorite of mine. The audio of these short stories are wonderful! I stumbled across this one at my local library. It had a cast of voices and sound effects. You can't go wrong listening to, or reading anything by Christie.

Make up your own mind
Some questions left unanswered, the mastery has been left a mystery. Christie achieves her purpose by leaving the audience hanging. If the reader wants more, then the reader has been entertained.- M. Jarvis, BDH

A Must for Christie Fans
As one who worships at the altar of Agatha Christie, I found this book to be a comprehensive reference guide to the greatest mystery writer of all time. Everything relating to Christie and her immortal creations of Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Tommy and Tuppence et.al. is here. Well-written,well-organized and extremely informative, this book is a must for any Christie fan or mystery lover. Highly recommended.

Invaluable tome for Christieholics
If you are a Christie fan you must have this book. Once you start dipping you will not stop and once you start to cross-reference you'll end up being late for work. This dedicated addition to the Christie files is just great. It contains not only references to just about every character that ever appeared in a book by Agatha christe but has film references, T.V. references. (Will somebody please help me find the now lost "Agatha Christie Hour" programmes) as well as theatrical references.

If you buy only one non-fiction Chritie reference book you will not be dissapointed with Matthew Bunson's brilliant hommage as no better critique could you find than a dedicated fan who would go to this much trouble. Thanks, Matthew, hope you sell loads

Everything you wanted to know about Christie
Let me start out by saying I have not read every page in this homage to the great Ms. Christie. Instead, over the past few couple of weeks I have looked up the detailed descriptions of items of interest to me like the list of television shows, stage performances, and movies created from one of Ms. Christie's works. That is the beauty of thisencyclopedia. Fans of the author and readers of mysteries can easily pick and choose their personal preferences. Besides the above, Matthew Bunson provides a detailed synopsis of each novel and short story, and a brief description of each character (I cannot argue if it is not complete) that ever appeared in one of these works.

THE COMPLETE CHRISTIE: AN AGATHA CHRISTIE ENCYCLOPEDIA is a fun piece of work that will provide much enjoyment to fans of Ms. Christie. Perhaps the only drawback to this wonderful book is a lack of a table of contents tied to the wonderful listings in the appendices that would enable casual fans to do even more specific digging.

This book's GREAT!!!!!!!!!
This is a great reference book to Agatha Christie's stories. This has Agatha Christie's Biography, and checklist and explanation about all the stories of Miss Marple, Poirot, and of other stories that doesn't include Poirot and Miss Marple. It also explains the poetries written by Agatha Christie. It includes screen and stage guide which explains lots of interesting facts about Agatha Christie's movies and plays. This book has very interesting article about Agatha Christie's greatest characters: Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple and Tommy and Tuppence. It has a useful checklist of all the books created by Agatha Christie that is in Alphabetical order. You SHOULD buy and read this book!!

Use it to keep track of your Agatha books
This is a cool little book that helps you keep track of which Agatha books you own and which you don't... I own over 200 copies of Agatha's books and have recently begun acquiring copies of the alternate titles (for example, Murder on the Calais Coach = Murder on the Orient Express). This book, while a tad incomplete, is perfect for carrying with you to used bookstores in search of Agatha books.

Very helpful companion for Agatha Christie fans!
Although I have always read Agatha Christie novels, I recently acquired a collection of 50 novels and short story books by this great mystery author. I was trying to put them all in chronological order when I realized that many of the books were the same, they just had different titles. In my online search to clear up my confusion, I came across this reader's guide. At a bargain price of less than $5, I decided it couldn't hurt to check it out.

Well, I am happy to say that this book has been extremely helpful. It is a colorful book that devotes a page to each novel, including a summary, published date, alternate titles, and film information. It also includes a section for your own personal review and comments at the bottom of each page. In addition to all this valuable information, the book includes a biography of the author, breakdown by detective (Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot or general mystery), novels under the name Mary Westmacott, and an alphabetical AND chronological list of published novels. It even includes Christie's non-fiction books and her poetry. I was not aware that she was a poet.

This is a wonderful companion for both devout fans and casual readers of her work. I would definitely recommend it.

This book was excellent. It was definately surprising at the end, and had a real twist to it. This was an excellent Agatha Christie book, and I recommend it to everyone.

This book was great! And I am proud to say that I solved it! It wasn't easy to crack though, and I mearly guessed it, and amazingly I was right! I highly recommend this book to anyone. It's definately a must read.

Simply the best!
Why don't you read this book? Feel once again the spirith of the english country-it seems to happen nothing and to be completely boaring. But sometimes...

10 Little Indians
Published in Audio Cassette by G K Hall Audio Books (1987)

Average review score:

Great book, but...
Yeah, this book is awesome, as the magic of "closed" murder takes over! But the only thing that little spoiled my joy at the first reading time was, that I watched the movie before I read this. The movie was partly kind of poor, because it didn't feature as exciting environment that the original book does. But, nevertheless, a great reading experience.

WOW!
Ten Little Indians (Also published as And Then There Were None and Ten Little Niggers) is an awesome book. The perplexing story of ten strangers whose lives will be changed completely by one trip to Indian Island. These ten people will be "punished" for what they did in the past. A doctor, judge, maid, butler, "secretary", ex-CID agent, ex-governess, and other characters. Surprising things will happen during this trip and will leave you astonished at the end. It really surprised me! I recommend this story to anyone who loves mysteries and I'm sure you will become addicted to her surprising books.

The case of the Ten Little Indians
An action packed murder mystery thriller, Ten Little Indians is a one of a kind story. Written by the legendary Agatha Christie, Ten Little Indians excites, perplexes, and unnerves the readers to make them feel like being one of the persons being stalked by an unknown psycho. The story starts when 10 people are asked to come to a resort island named Indian Island off the shores of Devin. All of the people oblige, and make to the island. From there on, certain unexplained events start manifesting themselves. Slowly at first, but increasing as the time flies, one by one people start dying, all by quite obvious and different methods of murder. But the most baffling thing about these deaths is that the death count and the type of murder correspond with the lines of the child's poem Ten Little Indians. I personally enjoyed this book because it had all of the elements of an action adventure, but with all of the shrouding mystery of a murder mystery novel. Examples of these things can be found all over the book. An interesting part with both action and mystery is near the end, when only three people are living. A statue us dropped on one of the three. People suspect the doctor, who had disappeared the night before. The two living were shocked to find the doctor's body at the shoreline, where he had drowned. In these types of books convincing characters are hard to come by. Most are full of dull personalities. In this book each person has their own personality. The people have their own Ideas, they each have their own backgrounds, and their own styles of putting up with things. Making a even more convincing novel. An interesting thing that Christie did in this book is that she had semi chapters inside of main chapters, just on a single person. This was a plus in a sense, because it gave you each characters perspective on events that happened throughout the book. A perfect example of this is in chapter 10, another person had been killed, and everybody suspected everybody else. It was sort of enjoyable, seeing what the peoples' thoughts were. If you haven't read a mystery in a while, or ever, this is the perfect choice to start, or continue reading murder mysteries. Graham Dougherty

Blends biography with literary coverage
Harold Bloom's Agatha Christie blends biography with a literary coverage of Christie's extensive mystery works. From her poetry and short stories to a posthumous autobiography, Christie produced far more than just the mystery genre: this outlines her works and provides essays by many notable literary analysts.
