Great book! A story that was just waiting to be told!
Thelma Chang is a gifted writer that decided this story had to be told. And tell it, she does. I couldn't put this book down, I felt like I was there. This book should be required student reading for history. The men of the 442nd were valiant, brave men who withstood incredible odds!

Very well written, beautiful photos, poignant stories
I'd heard "I Can Never Forget" Men of the 100th/442nd by Thelma Chang was an award-winning book in Hawaii for non-fiction. I can see why.

The stories are poignant and ironic in this easy-to-read book, filled with dramatic and sometimes humorous photos. The old war photos especially are dramatic and touching. Unforgettable.

What's Going on Lord

Awsome
Not because she is my aunt, but because she is in love with My Lord! Just take out the time to purchase and read her books, you will find that, when it's all said and done, if you have the slightest belief in Christ, the principles she uses are essential to our everyday lives. Just simply apply them!

If you are going through a trail, read this book.
Thelma Wells has a way of inspiring you. In this books, she offered hope. When you are going through a trail it's hard to see past the pain. She helped a lot by reminding me God is there and He is in control.

The Witch in the House Next Door

Again, exceptional!
This is the second in a four book series. It is very well written and exciting. Again, I couldn't put the book down. The story of the Walker family of Wilmington NC continues with Anna becoming somewhat friendly to the "witch" next door. What happens from there on is secretive, enticing, and a little spooky. Be sure to read this one too! And it will peak your interest to see what's going to happen in the next episode. You don't want to miss it!

Superb!
Could not put it down! Wonderfully written with an element of everything: mystery, family values, fear, caring, intrigue, etc. Easy reading for all ages. Looking forward to the next one.

"Nursing at its Finest"
This is a well-done pictorial review of nursing over the century as title indicates. It is a beautiful reflection from the 1900's to the current status of the Advanced Practice Nurse today. It includes biographies and photos across the United States and abroad wherever nurses served. It begins the story of nursing from the Henry Street Settlement with the acknowledgement that "prevention of illness is cheaper than caring for the ill" by Lillian Wald for Metropolitan Life Insurance in 1902. The turbulent times of 1990's with nurses on strike during a critical time when healthcare needs are expanding is also adressed-as Congresswoman Barbara Jordan says "This is no time for nurses' numbers to be declining: Congress has just expanded Medicare. Without nurses we don't have a system." It concludes with a comment from Margaretta Styles addressing the need for credentialing to meet the needs of all-especially the underserved. Stories are told throughout from nurses in WWI through Desert Storm.

Exceptionally well organized and thorough.
This outstanding book for parents and caregivers of two year olds is the third in a series. It offers activities that promote total child development, including physical, mental, and the creative aspects of learning. The organization into easily located categories makes it easy to quickly locate an appropriate activity. As a grandparent-caregiver who used the books for Baby and One-year olds, I am pleased to find that the activities are just as well thought-out and age appropriate in this book as in the other two. The instructions are very clear and there are enough activities that even if only half of them were tried you would never run out of interesting things to do.

Everything you want to know about the Blood of Jesus
Pastor Thelma J. Leftwich really breaks down the power of and meaning behind the Blood of Jesus. Using practical methods, Pastor Thelma explains the process behind why God had to do things the way he did, even from a physical science perspective. She then goes on to explain the power of the Blood in spiritual warfare. This book is a must for anyone who wants to understand the full power of the Blood of Jesus and how to tap into this power today.

Brilliant book on art and the black man!
This collection of essays may have come from a particular exhibit or conference. It is a book that discusses black men's status as objects of art. Don't sleep! The art world is racist. Coco Fusco and bell hooks have effectively documented this. So this anthology is a very needed intervention. Articles cover topics such as gay black men in movies, the visual representation of gangsta rap, Mapplethorpe, etc. The contributors analyze numerous art mediums, not just painting or film. What I love about this book is how straight black men and gay black men are treated equally; a discussion of one does not marginalize the other. I especially love the article "The Gangsta and the Diva." This book is incredible!

Christine De Pizan, the Dutchess of True Lovers!
The first Medieval literature I read was The Art of Courtly Love. The second book was Christine's The Book of the Duke of True Lovers. She subverts all the tenets given for courtly love to show its faults. She is requested to write the story of the Duke and she uses this opportunity to warn women and let them know the are better things to do than become involved in courtly love. Not a major milestone today, but for a period in time when few people were educated (and unheard of for women) Christine brilliantly uses her postion to her advantage!
