This book is so wonderful that I cannot imagine it being out of print. It is a rhyming story and my children loved it so much that all 3 of them, now in their 20's can still chant it all when they are having fun. My oldest daughter has asked me to get it for her new baby. The story has a message regarding a hungry fish being bullied by ducks and swans,girl falls in pond, fish rescues girl, girl feeds hungry fish. Pictures are bright primary colors. Children love this story and so do I. Please find one for me.

The book is approriate for "easy'reading" level. The story is about a fish that is hungry and finds the most peculiar way to be feed. Children will love the simple and vibrant colors of the picture. My daughter begged me for a copy of her own. This says it all!!

This book is first a counting book (from one to ten) with the typical pictures that Dick Bruna is known for: bright basic colours and very recognizable objects for kids. Rather than just counting dots or something, you're counting animals, sailboats, plates, glasses of juice, cars, crayons, and balloons. I use this book to talk about colours, shapes, and sounds. I like the fact that it is a boardbook, nice and stury for handling by toddlers.

We started reading this book to my son when he was just a few weeks old. From the very beginning he was entranced by the simple illustrations and the soothing text. Accompanying each illustration is a brief description. "One Big Ball"; "Two Elephants Over Here"; "Three Glasses of Juice" and so on... It's so simple that when my son would fuss on the changing table, I would just have to start reciting the book from memory and he would calm down... He's now 13 months, and still likes to read this book. The pages are very sturdy with built in tabs, so that the littlest hands can turn them. I highly recommend this book.

This is one of the first books that our son (now 31) read. It is something that we cherished. We now are ordering this book for our grandson! Out of print it is still worth the money.

The apple is a wonderful story of the friendship between a rooster on a weathervane and an apple that has fallen off of its tree. The friends go for a night time ride, and the apple sees into a house where they are ready to eat dinner. The apple is no longer sad because his friend the rooster can take him for a ride anytime.

For all of you Mary Black fans, this is one of her best. She has picked very intimate, remarkable songs, some of which may move you to tears. Not of sadness, but of tenderness, beauty, understanding. You'll enjoy this one.

The first time I read this to my 15 month old daughter, we BOTH fell in love with it! Not only is the story so sweet, but the pictures are bold and colorful while the rhyming of the sentences keep her attention. I recommend this book for all young children. It truly is wonderful!

This board book will teach babies and toddlers the words and pictures of playing the drums, rope-skipping, swinging the horizontal bar up and down, and tossing and catching a ball. Little children love to flip the pages again and again to see the picture change back and forth. The pictures are in bright colours and very clear, as they always are with Dick Bruna. Highly recommended by my two children!

Another in a series of delightful books that we read to our son when he was 2...We now read it to our grandson who is almost 2!

Two pages of colorform stickers (that only stick to the slick pages of the book) make this hours of entertainment for our 14 month old. She loves to go through and collect all the stickers in a big pile. It's always guaranteed to keep her busy for those fun car rides!

There are so many Great things to say about this book....I don't know where to start!I have enjoyed many Miffy books and a lot of others by Dick Bruna. As a young Child I was very sick and had to have a lot of operations, through ages 1 - 10. My mother bought this book right before I was to go into the hospital again. I was very scared, but this book helped me get ready for what might happen!I think any child would love this story, and would be able to relate to others! But for a child who has to have an operation it's even better! It tells everything that might happen when you go to the hospital!It's very relaxing and calming,... I read this a lot to my sisters child. She is not sick, but she just loves to read thhis book over and over and over!! The other neat thing is that if your child is having anoperation, it is REALLY easy to change a few words and make Miffy have the same operation as you child!I think this is one of the best childrens books ever, and it also has so many different uses, and different meanings for your child! They will love it and will want to hear it over and over again!! : ) IT'S GREAT!!
