I just resently discovered C.M Barker's work. Her wonderful artwork is used in this book is beautifuly reproduced. It contains only a handful of the actual Fairies, but alot of leaves and flowers. The point ot that is to use more leaves and items to make the Fairy stand out as a focal point. Eazy to follow and set, this book is a must for anyone who loves fairies or want to decorate there house with beautiful things.

True the count of fairies was as previous reviewer, but for the price I made many items, and the instructions are good. If I really had to make tons of things I'd buy another book of this, or there is always a color copy, but I wouldn't do that, this book is so inexpensive, I'd just buy one more. Fabulous artwork. And if you don't care for fairies there are plenty of small flowers for your projects.

This is a great book, I've used several of the graphics to create gift items for my family and they just loved them. You can either follow the directions for the selected items in the book or adapt them to your own ideas. The directions are simple and easy to follow. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to Decoupage.

This is a book filled with pictures of flower fairies. Place the dates of you loved ones birthdays in it.

Cicely Mary Barker's lovely Flower Fairies illustrations are used in a 'sliding picture book' format which shows the changes that six of the fairies experience as the seasons progress. For example, from May (in Spring) to Hawthorn (in Autumn). This book is a great introduction for children to Cicely Mary Barker's beautiful work.

I'm an artist and in some way I see the pictures of Barker are splendid, full of imagination and colours everywhere. I recomend it not just for kids, even for those people that still believe in fairies

I was somewhat disappointed in this book. It contains all of the material from "Flower Fairies of the Spring" and a condensed version of the Cicely Barker biography. The only new material is 2 flower fairies who were apparently cut from the modern edition of "F. F. of the Spring." So, I would recommend this book only for those who collect all CMB books.

Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies are a great series of picture and craft books that open worlds of fun and fancy for kids 3-10. The beautiful prints are classic and foster a love of art and nature.

This is a true child's gem. The illustrations are refreshingly simple and rich. One of very few books available to parents who are trying to avoid the sea of surrealistic and ghoulish imagery that many seem to think appealing.

Even though the illustrations are lovely and interesting, parents should consider the contents of this book. If you wish to teach your children that spells and witchcraft can lead to more than just innocent fun...do NOT buy this book!

i thought this book was really great! me and my friend went through it and saw some really cool spells we wanted to try. like me, i wanted to try the one to remove freckels. or the one to become the same size as a fairy. the only thing i wish it included was if you could accually try the stuff and if anything was poisionsous. over all it was great for kids like me who like magic and stuff like that

...This book states very clearly that it is written about PLANT LORE, and that is just what it is about. Persons not interested in this subject will not like this book, plain and simple. Those who are enlightened, and collect books on harmless myths and superstitions will enjoy it. Those who yearn for the magickal associations of flora, fauna and fae will also love it, of course!

The songs of the fairies is wonderful. It's classic children's literature. The poems have a delicate charm. The artwork is beautiful.

I adore Cicley Mary Barker's fairies, but the selection of fairies in this Frieze was disappointing. The background on which they were mounted was not appealing either. I would not recommend this Frieze.
