Best booK of the aerodynamics.
This book is intended to provide, in a short volume, an introduction to the theory of aircraft for use by undergraduate and graduate students. The author stress the operational management of the aircraft, while providing a detailed description of the physical phenomena involved. This book assumes that the reader already has some knowledge of the aerodynamics of aircraft, and notes the similarities and differences between the fixed and rotary -wing aircraft. this volume is an excellent introduction to the aerodynamics of aircraft. The present volume covers all important topics needed for the complete understanding of aircraft dynamics. these topics include the basic physical concepts for the aircraft maneuvers including basic theory and analysis, and aerodynamic design of performance, performance, trim, static and dynamics stability, control, and advanced aerodynamics. In short this book very excellent book fot the students.

Very good
An outstanding book, very enjoyable. Discusses ants, wasps, bees, termites, etc. A little bit dated now, but it still has one of the best overviews of social insects and their evolution of which I am aware. It is also very readable, with numerous illustrations.

An eye-witness account of the Peninsular War
I am just starting to delve into and research the Peninsular War, but this book is fascinating, especially because the majority of the text comes first hand. Edward Charles Cocks kept an extensive journal, and wrote many letters, so it's relatively easy to follow his movements throughout his campaign. He even goes into detail when advising the "kit" his brother should bring when coming to visit... I would recommend this book to anyone interested in an eye-witness account.

Fast-paced and compelling
For anyone interested in the history of the English monarchy and the Civil War, this is a great book. It is well researched, elegantly written, and provides a fascinating insight into this melancholy, intellectual and kind-hearted man who proved himself, in many ways, spectacularly ill-suited for kingship. This book deserves to have a place in every history lover's shelf!

Louisiana a bicentennial history
In late 1698, four ships sailed from France under the command of Pierre le Moyne, Sieur d'Iberville.Aboard were some two hundred people destined to become the first settlers of a French post in the lower Mississippi River. Iberville landed first at Dauphin Island near modern Mobile, then moved further East to Ship Island. Sailing up to the great River Iberville visited with the bayou goula Indians on the west bank. Rene Robert cavalier Sieur de la Salle who were a wealthy important immigrant to Canada who heard of the voyage of Marqette and Joliet and comprehended the strategic significance of a fort at the mouth of Mississippi. During the winter of 1682, La Salle led an expedition of fifty-six persons, including ten indians women and three children down the Mississippi to its mouth. He reached salt water on April 6, placed a cross in the mud and claimed the Country for France. He gave the name of Louisiana, in honor of king Louis XIV. That's was the basis for France's claim to Louisiana, though the Spanish Explorer Hernando De Soto had discover the Mississippi and crossed it 140 years earlier. Louisiana was a French-Speaking Spanish colony when the nineteenth century began. Twelve years later Loisiana was one of the United States, successfully operating a system of goverment radically different from the autocracy tempered by ineffiency that had gone before.

The best book on evidence
My professor suggested this book and deemed it the "Bible on Evidence". I bought it and it is. A great book that will clear up many of your questions. If you don't understand what your law professor is saying, this book will make it clearer.
Mie. Charles Pandosy, O.M.I., a Missionary of the Northwest: Missionary to the Yakima Indians in the 1850's and Later With British Columbia Indians

A Pioneer Effort, Covering Early Missionary Pioneer Efforts
This book is essential reading for a balanced understanding of Pacific Northwest Catholic missionary history. The subject of the book, Fr. Charles Pandosy, O.M.I. is a hero, a true pioneer and a witness to many of the events that shaped the present Pacific Northwest experience. The author provides good translations of early letters and documents related to the subject of his study. Although the footnotes are disorganized, the reflections upon the meaning of Father Pandosy's missionary life are apt. Father Pandosy was a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate of the first generation of his missionary congregation and of the first magnitude. French by birth, he loved God, the Native Peoples with whom he worked, music and singing. Kowrach conveys all the elements of this complex and interesting person. As very little is written about Father Pandosy, Kowrach breaks new ground with this effort.
