This book is awesome!
I'm half way threw the second one. This is a good series for learning about religions. It really gets down to the point of meaning. Why we're here without any religious garbage.

Another grouping of Anthony's best
I read the Tarot series only knowing it was by my favorite author. Piers Anthony has a way of making the reader think....especially concerning long taught ways in our social upbringing. He has made me ponder the meanings of religion (formed and free spirited) on more than one occasion. His hero, Brother Paul, is the epitome of man. Bravo, Anthony!!! You should add more to this series on the world of Tarot.

Behind the scenes, and ethics too
As a long-time Anthony reader, it was a delight to hear more about what makes this master wordsmith tick -- as well as ticked off.

I've just reread it, and found the ethical discussion solid. He clearly does not take the easy path -- but this is one author who has come a long way, with his integrity intact. The world would be a whole lot better if more people thought things out as deeply as he does.

The reader will find some interesting insights into the world of publishing and genre fandom, some thoughts about what the ethical way of dealing with various situations is, and plenty of conversational Anthony style, made popular in his author's notes.

More than anything else, this autobiographical sketch allows us a while in his company, following his thoughts through their intricate paths and philosophical hoops, to a final statement of personal values. Indeed a precious while -- and an interesting read, too.

Piers Anthony tells it like it is!
In his second autobiography, popular science fiction and fantasy author Piers Anthony picks up right where he left off in his earlier "Bio of an Ogre."

In this volume, Piers goes into more detail about his fans, attending conventions, meeting and dealing with other "professional" writers and takes on the giant publishing industry.

If you want to find out what really goes on in the publishing world, and what it takes to even get a book published, you will really enjoy Piers' experiences. It is a wonder that ANY book makes it to publications. Dirty dealings, terrible tricks, and ugly underhandedness are revealed for all the world to see.

Ever the forceful opponent, Piers was not one to just roll over and take it. He fought back, got blacklisted, and fought even harder.

A truly enjoyable read. If you are a Piers Anthony fan, here is a rare chance to grab a detailed behind the scenes look at his life for the past 10+ years.

Orn,The Einstein equivalent to E=mc2
A book to provoke a number of theories, none of which are in agreement with Darwin`s theory of evolution.Trully, a book to require a new train of thought, and to inspire the reader to consider the possibility of what is now an acceptable belief, of alien intervention in the natural order of things. An interesting fictional hypothesis, that could rival the age old proverb. "Truth is stranger than fiction."An incredibly inspiring read for those with inquiring minds, who also love science fiction. As dictated to me,by my mother, who read this book in 1976,and asked me to write this review in the year 2000. Sincerely, Shanan Price

Great Book
Its a fantasy thriller, when three people go to the past, adn find out it's earth

One of the Best Sci-Fi's I've read in a long time!
Jeff Font returns to Earth to seek vengence against the planetary mogul who had framed and destroyed Jeff's family. But Jeff's plans backfired; he was captured, drugged, rammed through the computerized court system, convicted and ringed.

The "Ring" is a surgically implanted electronic monitor that automatically caused unendurable agony when a convict strayed. A ringer can do no evil, think no evil, see or hear evil without ratting to the robocops, nor can he defend himself or others from insult or injury.

In a corrupt world of licensed sin and satanic parties ringers are the ultimate victims. But the ring's data banks hadn't factored in Jeff's strength, courage, and his will to fight society, the world and the agony of the ring to unravel the plot that entrapped him and to see justice done.

Hard to put down. A Sci-Fi must read! Highly recommended.

Great book. I have two, 'cause I lost it bought it found it
In my opinion, This is the best work Piers Anthony ever did. He has a unique idea for keeping a handle on crime. The Ring does not allow its wearer do anything the wearer knows is wrong. It delivers an electrical shock which intensity is dependent on the severity of the crime. He delves into the way that people who are ringed are treated as well as their reactions. It is a great read.

More Magic of Xanth/Centaur Aisle, Ogre-Ogre, Night Mare

Author: Piers Anthony

Three for the Price of One
This is a great book to get, because it is actually three Xanth books in one. The first one, Centaur Aisle, is the fourth book in the series, and continues the mix of humorous puns, romance, and fantasy adventure as Dor is left in charge of Xanth as King Trent takes a "vacation" to Mundania (Earth). However, when the King goes missing, Dor must set out to find him, so he treks to the Southern most reaches of Xanth, the entrance to Mundania is of course to the North.

Book 5 Ogre, Ogre is a endearing tale of an Ogre who goes out on a quest, but forgets what it was he was questing for near the start of his trek. Nothing to fear though, everything works out in the end.

Book 6, Nightmare is a story about one "horses" dream to see the rainbow. Before she can though, she must save Xanth from the latest wave of Mundanians, Solve the problem of the disapearing Kings, and deal with the dastardly Horse man. All will be revealed by the end of the novel.

Hasan is a winner
The book Hasan delves into the classic 1,001 nights. It has mythology, excitement, unrequited love, alchemy. Hasan is altogether a fast-moving book that could cause insomnia; you can't put it down until the very end. Hasan, the title character, is a somewhat naive man who eagerly accepts the word of an evil alchemist. As a result he is abducted and taken to a realm much different than his own. When he is left to die on a mountain he has a streak of luck. hasan finds a castle of beautiful sisers who take pity on him and adopt him as their brother. When he goes into the one room which is forbidden him, and finds the love of his life, the story really gets interesting. If you're looking for fantasy, love, excitement, adventure, and puns aplenty, read this book.
