Good manual
If you are starting out on a telemetry unit, or just want to review some anatomy, physiology and pathology, this is a pretty good book. It also gives info on contemporary testing and surgical interventions for cardiac diseases. A little pricey, but I would reccomend it.

WOW
Extremely detailed, thorough, and technical. Everything you ever wanted to know about the heart without being a physician. Covers everything from physical assessments and findings, to every procedure and preparation, to wave forms and EKG rhythm interpretation and analysis. Technical physiology.

Cardiac Nursing
This book is excellent for nursing students!

An inspiration for writing teachers
This collection of essays about online teaching and learning dispells the popular myth that writing instruction needs to take place face-to-face. It gave me some exciting ideas for how to conducting a supportive and interactive class using the Internet and computer conferencing. I particularly enjoyed the reports written by teacher Beverly Paeth and student Jenny Davis of their online communication.

pole barns
Although the book had some helpful hints I was looking for more practical instructions on how to build a pole barn. The book did not go in deepth enough and had little information on pole barns. I was looking for ideas to help setting the floor grade and where to get started after lay-out is finished

The garage is almost done
I'm 2/3 done with a garage that's based on a plan in this book. I'm using this book for pole barn-specific info, and "Building a Multi-Use Barn : For Garage, Animals, W..." for the rest. Together, these two books give me enough information, without going overboard. Good luck to you; I'm having a blast!

pole building construction review
This book is very good. The information is presented in great detail in a very useable way. I found myself wanting to build with poles! Highly recomended.
Sincerly, Adelbert M. Vinal Jr.

Wonderful Information and humor
A book with endless hints on everyday living and the humor and bits of thoughts is well balanced. This is an ideal book for anyone in any walk of life. Thanks to the Tightwad Twins for thinking of this and relaying an enormous amount of simple knowledge and information.

Wonderful ideas!
I don't know what that Pennsylvania woman was looking for, but this book has a larger variety of tips than just getting stains out such as Heloise. Must not have been poor enough. The one thing on how to buy a house without a downpayment ALONE was worth the bookprice. Lady, you need an imagination like the Tightwad Twins to come up with these useful daily make a profit from just working tips. Great gift idea also. Twins were also great on Gayle King, Crook and Chase. Get another book out twins!!!!!!!!!

Humor and tips that only a busy mom could understand....
Thanks, twins for helping me to finally learn how to get the OPTION to stay home with my kids and not work. I am motivated to try more of your tips every day and my husband has convinced all of his friends to get a book for their wives. Tightwadery doesn't have to be misery because I learned from you guys that it is not how much you make but how much you get to keep. I also took your test for the second income....is your second income working for you or are you working for it? This book has changed my way of thinking and has helped me so much! Twins, thanks for knowing that you have many of us tightwad sisters out there! Ignore the people who make so much money that they cannot understand the way it is with REAL people's lives of budgets and bills.

Not great if you don't know what you want.
I found the book to be alright in terms of it teaching the fundamentals of how to construct different types of fences, but in reality, some of the types of fences discussed are not all that practical (i.e., stone and brick fences).

If you are merely looking for numerous ideas for one style of fence (i.e., picket fence), you are better off looking elsewhere.

Not the ultimate book on building fences I had hoped for
A dull looking book with no color photos, it is nicely written but makes assumptions about what the reader knows. So unfortunatley for me there is a lot of missing information. Ok if you have 10 fence books in your library, but not a primary source for designing and building your first fence.

A great guide book
This is a general primer on building all types of fences and on growing hedges. The section on stone and masonry is particularly thorough. Great illustrations by Liz Buell, straightforward text and detailed photographs of works in progress make this a good resource for both novice and experienced builders.

Reveiw Illustrated guie to canoe buildilg
Very good color pictures, but not always helpful. Gives a lot of different approaches and methods but leaves the choice to the reader, It is obvious, and sometimes stated, that she has no experience with some of even the more basic ones.

Most comprehensive book on strip building
I have just completed Mac McCarthy's Wee Lassie using this book. The amount of detail in the book answered all my questions and some of the techniques (like reinforcing the deck with thin marine plywood) was better than using carlins and stripping the deck onto the carlins. I had no trouble building the boat. I built the boat with no staples or nails. Her stapleless building technique was straight forward and easy to do. The most difficult part was beveling the inside stems. I would not bevel the entire stem at once, but bevel as I stripped. The only part of McCarthy's book worth having are the mold patterns for the canoes. This book is the one you need to actually build the canoe.

An excellent addition to the canoe building literature.
This book has two great features. One is the fantastic color photographs showing the process of building a wood strip canoe. The second is that the author answers questions and gives details of construction that most other authors on the subject gloss over or ignore. The only negatives are the poor quality binding and the tiny size of the print.

Some flaws, not worth buying.
I bought this book because it uses a hands-on approach, plus I was attracted by its colourful pages and neat layout. But I was somewhat disappointed after reading it and trying out the exercises. The chapter on macros and VBA is the worst. One macro on printing slides did not work out as intended. The VBA part was poorly explained, you end up staring at lines of code and wondering the logic behind them. Another glitch is that the clipart used in the exercises may not be available to every Powerpoint 2000 user, so some of us have to take the trouble to download them from Microsoft's Live Clipart Gallery. The course coverage isn't as comprehensive as it meant to be. For instance, it does not teach you how to simulate an object (such as a bird) flying across the slide. I expect more from an advanced level book like this. My first, and probably last, book from the Shelly Cashman series.

BAD BOOK
Do NOT buy this book if you care about your rats. This author has no idea what she's talking about. Debbie's books are much more informative.

Very Poorly Researched
This book made me very unhappy. The author must not have any pet rats, or her rats would be dead and she would now know NEVER to use wood shavings in their cages. The only wood shavings suitable for rats is aspen, but CareFresh or products made of recylved and sterlized newspapers are best. This along with a lot of other misinformation can kill your pet rat. To learn the truth about pet rats and how to care for them click on Debbie Ducommen's book at the top of the page.
