A modern epic by a master-poet
This is a rare and successful modern epic poem by one of the most learned and linguistically inventive English poets to emerge since the second world war. Difficult though it is in places at first, it is also very moving. Catching the high Arthurian spirit, while also being witty, it will change the life of anyone who reads it.

It is an atlas.
Yes, this book is an atlas, like an atlas must be: with many, many pictures, big pictures (the majority use all size of the page) and a easily text to read. I really recomend. I am sorry by the language, please, corretc before, OK.
PS: I don't know if pictures are the correct word, the atlas has colored designs, ok

Bacon's Eye-the closest focal point through his instincts
This soft cover book is the best collection to date of Bacon's instinct's on photo's as "a record" for motion and emotion, which led, as far as I am concerned, to his "violent colours and form's" that produce an "incredible, emotional charge which is "an impressive sort of violence".People often speak of Bacon's work's as violent, but Bacon said himself that he never saw any violence(in terms of a negative, painful meaning) in his work's.Bacon did see a violent execution in Picasso's work's through colour and form.
Bacon did state his work's were positively charged with incredible emotion's through his colours and forms which might be veiwed as violent ,but in the positive.I also feel, as Bacon did, that word's diminish an artist's work's, so that is why I am qouting him so often from the book "Francis Bacon In conversation with Michel Archimbaud".Bacon's Eye is full of photo's, some of his early unseen work's, and his use of colour and form after veiwing the photo's in the book. There is also an interview with Barry Joule, a close friend of Bacon, at the end of the book.
Bacon gave Joule a thousand never seen work's on paper before his death. This book has only some of them, and I would love to see the remainder if ever published some day, but you will get a much indepth look at Bacon's work from the one's supplied. This book is not to be passed by if you want something rare and intimate of the artist. If you were to compare this book to the one other book featuring Bacon's drawing's, which name I can not recall right now, Bacon's Eye is ten times better. It also has different textured paper for the plates and the interview section.

An Incredibly Realistic Work of Fiction
If you're a comic fan, you probably love Batman. If you are a comic-art fan, you probably have heard of Brian Apthorp. But if your a fan of incredibley well written books, I bet you have never heard of this special. It came out to promote the last Batman movie, and was just a marketing gimmik. It turned out to be an extemely human comic book, though. This graphic novel shows the reason why the villianess Poisen Ivy acts upon her love for plants, and it's more simple than you think. Poisen Ivy and Batman seem very alike, and really just want to preserve life. After haveing her private island firebombed, Ivy snaps, and goes looking for who did it. Batman must find her, and finds out that Ivy doesn't want to commit crimes, she just wants to be left alone. But when people don't respect the earth, she doesn't respect people. Truley a powerful book. Recommended to everyone from the casual reader to the biggest fan. At only five dollars, it's a steal.

Causal Reasoning: A Systems Approach (Studies in Cybernetics, Vol 23)
Published in Paperback by Taylor & Francis (1992)

Merging AI and Systems Theory
This is an interesting book! The author combines Systems Theory with Artificial Intelligence using logic as a unifying paradigm. The result is a generalised theory of systems which supports logical and causal reasoning.
The practical application of the approach is shown by controlling a laboratory system. The results are impressive because control is achieved solely by reasoning about the system in real-time.

One of this century's great volumes of verse
Both TS Eliot and the critic Herbert Read regarded the young John Heath-Stubbs as perhaps the most remarkable young classical poet of their time. This is a matter of critical record. Others in the 1940s and 1950s said that he had the best ear for a line and for the music of a sustained passage since Milton. These Collected Poems, the fruit of a lifetime which is still yielding admirable work, amply justify that praise.

Basic for architects, conservators and stone collectors!
This is that kind of books that tell us everything about a scientific topic that we need to learn with basic knowledge. The authors help us to understand the nature of stones and the better way to conserve its characteristics for the future, everywhere you need to apply it: museums, buildings and particular collections. Perhaps the most important contents are the necessary methods and materials that you must to apply in order to conserve and/or restore the original values of different kind of stone works. It is definitively a great help for architects, conservators and owners of stone collections.
