Found the book great!
Being an IMG who graduated a few years ago, I did not have a very good grounding in Genetics. I found that the subject was tested quite a bit on the USMLE and to prepare myself for the test, I used this book and found that this book made the subject both interesting and gave a lot of detail too.

Human Sexuality at Its Best!
As an instructor of Human Sexuality, I have used several textbooks over the years and I always find that (while adequate) there is always something missing from each of them. You know what that means ... buying and using more supplementary materials.

This is the first textbook I have ever seen that is simply PERFECT just the way it is. I will use it in every single one of my future classes. The students, faculty and staff agree. This is the one Human Sexuality book the whole world should read.

Bravo!

Women and girls in Colonial America
This book tells what it would be like if you lived in Colonial Williamsburg. Some pages even have little rhymes that go with the topics. This poem is about what women and girls wore:
"Little Polly Flinders
Sat among the cinders
Warming her pretty little toes.
Her mother came and caught her
And whipped her little daughter,
For spoiling her nice new clothes."

I recommend that you read it because it's a really interesting book and it tells about really interesting topics. I really enjoyed it.

Wow...
I thought that this was a great study of various Jungian archetypes and their applications to Shakespearian "myths". This was especially a nice addition to the plays I saw in Ashland, OR. I totally reccomend this in depth analysis.

Friendship with Someone Different than You
This book contains three short stories. Each story is fast-moving, exciting and holds a unique morale about friendship. The two Main Characters, a Lion and a Lamb, meet in the first story and become Friends, "Now and forever". This unlikely friendship leads to exciting adventures. Finally, the full-color illustrations are outstanding. This is definitely an excellent book to be enjoyed over and over again by young children.

A trip to the Salons of Paris
A catalogue/book of a 1986 exhibition organised by the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco with the National Gallery of Art, Washington.

An invaluable resource for anyone interested in the Impressionist period in modern art. The book begins with essays entitled: ' The Impressionists and Edouard Manet'; 'The New Painting:Concerning the Group of Artists Exhibiting at the Durand-Ruel Galleries'; 'The Intransigent Artist or How The Impressionists Got Their Name'; 'The End of Impressionism';

The works are arranged around the catalogues of each of the Impressionist exhibitions in Paris (1974, 1876, 1877, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1886). Each section includes readable essays on the particular exhibition, and reproductions of and notes on the paintings represented in the San Francisco/ Washington exhibition , as well as reproductions of the catalogs of the original Impressionist exhibitions.

The quality of reproductions is very high, given the limitations of still enabling the book to remain affordable to the generalist reader.

There is a wealth of detail in this comprehensive work. The book would be a valuable addiditon to any secondary school, college or public library collection.

Highly recommended.

Must have for OB/Gyn rotation
This book is absolutely an A+. Of all of the required texts I have purchased this year, this one is by far the best. It is very well written. The information is detailed enough without overwhelming a third year student. The book provided short and manageable chapters that could be read and digested quickly. The questions at the end were a life-saver come test time.

A Top-Notch Treatise for any Page Layout Program
Even though I currently use Pagemaker 6.5 - this book remains at my side. It is quite simply the best reference on the subject of Page Layout. Even if you use another program, Ms Williams tips on good design are worth the price. Though Pagemakers interface has changed, nearly everything in this book pertains to the current version. Its also without doubt the most readable and beautifully designed computer book I've read to date. BUY IT! before its discontinued, You won't regret it.

Excellent
A thought provoking book that examines how our family life has slipped away from us because of overscheduling of activities, as well as the addiction to tv and computer. Offers excellent guidelines for getting back on track and reconnecting with our family and community. I am putting some of these ideas to practice in my own family, and find that we are becoming much closer. Who should read this? Anyone who wishes to become closer to their loved ones, and is concerned with the hectic pace of their lives.
