'Dinofours' is the best
the dinofours series is the best children books for teaching language and social skills, my daughter (4) has learned the practice of signing a song to express her bad mood just like the characters in the stories,

this series should go on for ever and it is a big pity that amazon.com always does not have the full series available for purchase

Funny beginning reader
This series of books about a silly white dog is a big favorite in my first grade classroom. The illustrations are hilarious, the stories are great and the dog is adorable. First graders can read them all by themselves and they will want to read them over and over again.

Thanksgiving Cats is a great book
My daughter was sent this book for Thanksgiving two years ago. She loves cats so it appealed to her - but its a very sweet tale about how the cats work together to grow and harvest their food and then how they prepare it and share it; all done in a rhyming mannner. This is a great story.

A favorite
My child adored this book. Tyrone, the bully, was very similar to a bully in my child's preschool class. Through this book, my child was able to gain satisfaction envisioning the bully getting his "just reward" as did Tyrone in this book. Unfortunately life is not always as straight forward and right win out over might. But this book allowed my child to cope - and gave us warning signals when a few well directed questions as to why the book was a favorite surfaced the bully issue.

Great Christmas Story
I love this book! It is a great way to ground kids into the fact that Christmas is not all about gifts. It is from a Christian perspective but goes beyond the story of Christ's birth and exemplifies christian living.

Great for toddlers!
Our toddler loved the illustrations of the animals . This book can be very interactive for young children allowing them to make all the animal sounds as the book unfolds. I would definitely recommend this book.

My son was on the floor laughing
I got this for my kindergartener to read to me. He was laughing so hard he got the hiccups. Great early reader because there are a lot of repetitive phrases and the story is silly enough to captivate the little ones.

PERFECT First Reader
This was my sons first "I read it all by my self" book. He made me read this everyday over and over until he could imitate me then eventually read it himself. The wording is such that you dont tire of re-reading to your child and it is a quick read so you dont mind re-reading 100x a day. I had my son sign this book and date it (his 6th b-day) for my memory trunk and had such fond memories of it I just ordered another copy for my daughter(age 4).

It's a favorite!
This is a fun book with a message. My daughter is almost four and she loves this story! She can relate to the preschool setting and time-outs, too. The main dino is real and funny! My six year old son really enjoys this story as well. Sometimes it's hard to find books, that appeal to both my children, but this one works. We can't wait to read more about the Dinofours!

Dinosaur discipline
This is a book that both my 4 and 2-year old children enjoy. It teaches a good lesson about the reasoning behind time-out and the lessons that can be learned from it. At the end, the main child dinosaur learns to control his behavior and "stops himself" from taking a toy away from another dinosaur. My children have both used this chant while stopping themselves and sharing their toys!

Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf!
Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf was an all right book! It was about how trees are planted, which leafs belong to which trees, and also how workers come and pick up tree sprouts to get transplanted and they tend them year after year then once the trees start to settle in they get measured, marked, and then uprooted again the workers load the tree up and take it to a place where people can go and buy it and re-plant it in their yard and that's what the kid in the story did! I don't think kids would really enjoy this book because it was pretty boring in my opinion but also very educational to the point kids would learn many things from this book!

Hiccups for Elephant
I think that this book is a great learn how to read and easy reader book. It blends laughs and learning. My sister read it to me and she loved it. She kept reading it for the next few nights. She thought it was very funny and I think she learned a lot of reading skills from this book. After the few days she complained it was too short, so I think that it would of been better if it was a little longer but still easy. I did think it was kind of short when my sister read it, but other than that i think that this is a great buy if you have kids learning to read. If you have a kid that's beginning to read i think that this book would be a great buy for you.

Great for learning readers
Hiccups for Elephant is a great book for beginning readers because it's short, funny for the young'ens, and the letters are big and easy to see. This book is about a groups of animals trying to take a nap, but one has hiccups, the elephant. The animals wake up one at a time to try and help the elephant fall asleep. I strongly recommend this book for parents that are trying to get their kids to learn how to read. FORGET hooked-on-phonics. Why waste money on cheap carp when you can spend 3 bucks on this or less. GET THIS BOOK.

surprise
If you don't like to see guns pop up unexpectedly in children's books then don't buy this one. I was thoroughly disappointed to see a gun come into play towards the end of what was, until that point, a nice story.

a different view of how the sun comes up!
Every child wonders about the sun and why it goes up or goes down. I've read this book to my daughter and she likes it! She can even read it by herself
