Wow! What an eye opener!
This book is a steal, ... Gives the reader a great insight into what we've heard about UFO's are they real or not? And how this will be linked into our very future. Not the type of book you can whip through, give yourself time to digest it.

Very Enlightning!
Excellent book from a Biblical point of view. Lots of Detail.

A UFO book ahead of its time!
This book was first written in the early 1970's when UFO's were still very much a fringe subject. Taking this into account one can appreciate how far ahead of its time this book was. The authors addess the UFO topic and its connection with the occult/paranormal. They chronicle the US Government's early projects (including the use of psychic mediums/channelers) in dealing with the UFO phenomenon and the startling results. Furhter, the authors give a Christian perpective to the subject and put forth a startling hypothesis. Of particular interest is the appendix, which is loaded with scientific information (even the late Dr. Carl Sagan is cited). The only reason I could not give this book 5 stars is because it is so old, but this book hold its own despite its age. This is one of the earliest books that deals with the UFO phenomenon as something that is absolutely real and as something that should not be ignored by anyone.

The Coming Darkness

An expose on various types of occultists.
I've read other books on occultism before. This one looks into the reasons why the occult is gaining a foothold in American society. They also list the hazards from former occultists and from various types of occultists (Satanists, witches, yogis, etc.) Moreover, Ankerberg and Weldon provide a very detailed list of occult activites as well as an in-depth explanation on the occult origin of yoga and its effects (VERY IMPORTANT CONSIDERING TODAY'S YOGA BOOM!)

needed treatment of the occult and spiritual warfare
This book, forewarded by the late Walter Martin, is a much needed treatment of the occult and spiritual warfare. This is especially true in light of the many sensationalized books that flood the market. The book covers many areas of the occult, and treats spiritual warfare from a balanced perspective, citing theologians of differing opinions, and coming to a very balanced conclusion.

An interesting look at the foundations of modern psychology.
This book conclusively shows much of the psychology and recovery movement's anti-Christian, pro-occult, pro-humanist foundations. This is a a must read for anyone who thinks that modern psychology and the Church can successfully mingle.

Ankerberg and Weldon raise some serious questions and concerns that need to be considered by lay Christians, pastors, students, and people in the mental-health industry

Knowing the Truth About Salvation
This small book answered a lot of questions that I had about the subject, Salvation. There were comparisons between Christianity and other religions, discussions of the evidence of Christianity and the importance of the resurrection to each of us personally. I wanted to purchase additional copies for family and friends but having a difficult time finding the book. I thought this was a "good read" and the book provided me with lots of information that I was looking for.

one of the best critiques on the occult
Its a pity that some books have gone out of print. This is one of those books. I recently picked this book up at a used bookstore and was very impressed by its scholarly approach. The book is a christian critique of the occult. However, it is not one sided and at least gives the arguments for the other side. The book starts out by saying that the occult, which the authors mean by satanism, witchcraft, magick, meditation and psychic forces are dangerous to use. They claim that while it may be true that there are enormous powers in man, it is better that they are not awakened, since demons could use such a man to their will. They give examples of people who have unleased these powers. One instance, they cite as proof of their claim was Hitler, who was a psychic medium and was involved with occult groups and forces. The rest of the book gives arguments against the occult which are well worth considering. Although I am not in complete agreement with what they write, I do agree that the occult does have power to anyone who is persistant enough to tap its power. The authors say that one should not play with the dark bolts of the occult and it is a warning that should be heeded.

Thoughtful look at UFO's from a different viewpoint.
Although this book is well over 20 years old, it has some very interesting information. I first read this book almost 10 years ago and found its explanaiton of the UFO phenom. refreshing. The appendix is filled with scientific information that help one understand the topic presented. If you read this book and keep reminding youself how old it is you can better appreciate it. I wish there were more current books like it. The best recent book like it that I can recommend is "Alien Encounters" by Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman, which I recommend if you are seeking a different view of UFO's.

Cheney family values
Ankerberg makes some interesting points but fails to apply his assertions to the Cheney family. The highly respected Dick and Lynne Cheney raised their daughter with the family values that resulted in her settling down with Heather Poe into a fully lesbian lifestyle. Never before has America seen with such detail how Republican family values are not contrary to an active and unrepentant homosexual lifestyle. Mary is Dick's favorite and most trusted daughter and was his top aide during the campaign. Yet homosexuals are considered by definition negative role models (as in the Boy Scouts). Why were Dick and Lynne Cheney negligent parents and why have they failed to acknowledge the tragic mistakes they made in raising a homosexual daughter? Why has Mary refused to accept ex-gay treatment and why haven't Dick and Lynne encouraged her to leave the lifestyle? Ankerberg fails to answer any of these critical questions...

Demented fundamentalist nonsense
Get a clue, folks. Read "Biological Exuberance." Read SOMETHING written in the 20th century. Try to think a thought.

"Homosexuality" CANNOT be a neurosis caused by some childhood incident. In fact, worldwide evidence clearly demonstrates that most men are bisexual to some extent. Ancient Greece, Rome, and Medieval Japan had no problem with love and sex between men. There IS nothing wrong with it. The only people screaming are the Christians, and THEY are the ones who need help.

Praise God
I will praise God for the wealth of Godly wisdom and discernment He has poured upon the minds of His children. Without Godly wisdom and discernment many people will be tricked by the false claims made by Homosexual activists. Without writers such as John Ankerberg and John Weldon as well as many others I wouldn't have been able to pull out of the oppression of homosexuality. I too was fooled by those activist... the fact remains the lost are leading the lost. That's why it takes men and women of God to stand up to help those that are lost. What many don't realize is that I am 18 and because of my decision to turn away from homosexuality at an early age I overcame it with the redeeming power of Christ Jesus. Now as the years pass by I will look back at when I accepted Jesus Christ and say "Thank you God for turning my life around at an early age so I wouldn't have to live with a depraved and desperately wicked mind." To those who say homosexuals can't "change", your are just fooling yourself and lying to those who are suffering so. You are actually signing your own death certificate and what you need is the Lord Jesus Christ in your life to take you out of this abominable life stealing immoral behavior.

The Facts on the Mormon Church (Anker Series)

Good source of historical mormon mistakes
A simple book to keep a person updated on the history of the Mormon church. Mr. Ankerberg is another writer who puts the facts out for anyone to learn the hidden side of cults. This book serves as a current guide for people trying to not be swayed with the plagarized works of Joseph Smith. It's a great book to keep handy in case a young Mormon missionary is trying to persuade people who don't know the truth of the Mormon church and they certainly won't tell you. ie. blood atonement and secret handshakes, and slitting of the throat gestures in the obediant temples. I would recommend the book to anyone simply trying to avoid being told what the Mormons believe at this current time. It serves as a historical reference of how many changes the "prophets", always life-long Mormons, have covered up and changed.

Read all you can
Mormonism is no doubt one of the most successful religions on earth. As Joesph Smith boasted that he led the early mormons even better than Paul, Moses and Jesus (HC 6:408-412). I believe this to be quite true. Yet, even if you ask the mormon missionaries, members or bishops they don't know about the Adam-God theory, Different accounts of the First Vision, Endowment similarities with the Free Masonary or the completely pagan Book of Abraham, etc. These things you will not learn at BYU, missionary sessions, Sunday school, or seminary. Most LDS don't even know about these stuff. The best way to judge for yourself is to read mormon and anti-mormon books then judge for yourself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is as good as the name sounds or is just another religion.

The key to knowledge is more reading, and then some.
Lies are black. Black holes are the deepest, lie-full-est, and blackest. And mormonismsm is one of the worst. This book packs in the information that you "read and more reading" will help you.

I think it was Milton who said that Truth is a gem that runs from you, so hurry up and catch it.

I oppose the Mormonites, bnut I hate them with the pure love of God. I belive that we can love them out of their doubt into love.

Typical creationist garbage
Creation "science" is based solely on the biblical creation myth and for nearly 100 years (more if you count the protests in the 1800's) creationists have been attacking science to desperately convince people that 200 years of scientfic study is wrong.

As always they fail miserably depending solely on the same old lies and misinformation that is the sole basis of so called "evidence".

The truth is, evolution is a reality. The earth is billions of years old. There was never any global flood. Get a real science book if you want to learn science. DLF is worthless.

Lots of food for thinking people!
In recent years more and more scientists in many specialties have spoken out against naturalism or vertical evolution [also known as macroevolution]. Geneticists, mathematicians, cosmologists, astronomers, philosophers, physicists, and even some in the areas of biology, anthropology, and other fields have voiced doubts as to whether naturalistic Darwinian evolution has any real evidence or merit. Unfortunately the public [and media] really misses the main issue, which is NOT the Bible versus science, but whether purely natural processes are responsible for all that we see, both living and non-living. It is not a 6-day creation religious belief versus the "facts" of science but the FACTS of SCIENCE which show incredible design and coding versus a happenstance event--or actually quadrillions of random events, all happening as if by design, to create a complex living creature that can reproduce itself.... This is but 3% of my review at criticalreviews.com an Amazon associate. Check it out under Book Reviews, Science

A solid start to the Creation debate.
Darwin's Leap of Faith provides page after page of solid evidence supporting the notion of evolution as a system of faith rather than hard empirical science. Of particular interest is the chapter dealing with the ostricism received by legitimate and highly qualified scientists who attempt to challenge the evolutionary premise at the academic level.

I did find that the book became a little repedative in its format and subject matter at times, however overall it provides a fairly substantial meal, laying bare the facts and figures (often directly from the evolutionary cult itself), and exposing the faith aspect of evolutionary 'science'.

A great reference book for those late night conversations and debates!
