Life Is Tough but Gos Is Faithful
Very touching, very emotional book. I found that this has helped me look at things in my own life and this book has really helped me.

Very touching and well written.
Life is Tough but God is Faithful is one of the most touching books I have ever read. Sheila Walsh always tells the honest truth about life and how God controlls it all. It will help you through the pain to see how God can change lemons in to lemonade. Sheila shows you that God in in charge, and lets Him truly speak through her. Her book Honestly almost leads you into this one, with its story of her struggle. If anyone is in pain, pick up this book or Honesly, then pick up a Bible.

excellent
Sheila is wonderful. I love her honesty! Definitely read all her other books.

The high point in my day!
I only right reviews when I feel very strongly about a book. To keep this in perspective for you, this is the second review I've written.

The first book I read by these 5 ladies - "Joy Breaks" is what prompted me to buy "Overjoyed". I can't stress enough how these are the most wonderful devotional books that I have ever read! Each devotional is very light-hearted and contains humerous situations which I find myself relating to very well. There is a short bibical scripture at the beginning of each devotional which serves as a "preface" for the story. Then there is a short prayer at the end of each story such as: "Lord, thank you for laughter. Help me to see the hilarity of it all and share it today. Amen." (p.52)

Each devotional is not lengthy. That may sound like a shallow comment, but in the past I have found myself painfully trying to get through devotional books that are very lengthy, deep and heavy on the heart, and by the time I reach the end, I have gotten very little out of it. But with "Overjoyed" I find myself reading 3 and 4 each time I pick up the book. And afterward all I can do is smile. I like the length of each devotional (2-3 pages) because sometimes I pick this book up for a quick pick-me-up at work or sitting in traffic, etc. (as you can tell, I like to always have this book on hand) and I don't want to have to read pages and pages to accomplish this. The size of the book is even perfect. It is small enough to fit into most purses (the book is about 5x7 in size).

This book packs a powerful and practical punch in each devotional. When I put this book down, I feel upbeat and spiritually fed. It is definately a high point in my day!

This book made me feel happy!
A collection of essays by five different Christian women. The essays are strong and powerful and tie into the everyday life of women everywhere. This book acknowledges that life is hard, but you can choose to smile anyway. I loved it!

Perfect way to start your day, funny and encouraging.
This was the best daily devotional I have ever read. I can't wait to start my quiet time each morning to see what happens next! A positive way to start your day.

Who says this book is just for women???
Okay, I admit I felt a little odd when I picked up my wife's copy of Living Fearlessly. I mean, this is a woman's book, right? Wrong! This is a Christian's book ... forget the stereotypes.

I found this sitting on our bookshelf right at a time when I have been fighting an intense spiritual battle against fear and anxiety. I know that scripture teaches us not to live in fear, but it's a hard lesson to get that knowledge from your head to your heart. Thanks so much to Sheila Walsh for making that lesson a little easier.

The insights offered in this book are born of Sheila's actual life experiences, most of them crucial tests of her faith and character. She opens up some of the darkest and most personal secrets of her own life and bares her soul for all to see, just so we can learn from her experience. It is extremely rare to read such an emotionally gripping work, primarily because I felt like I could relate to so much of what she described in her own life. It was like looking in a mirror.

But it's not all seriousness and tears. There is a bright and happy wit that comes shining through in some wonderfully funny stories and insights. This book is a beautifully balanced look at some of life's toughest questions, and one of life's toughest lessons -- how to find joy in Jesus Christ in the midst of your darkest hours.

No, this isn't just a woman's book. Take it from a man who read it, loved it, fought back tears, and learned from it. My battle isn't over, but at least I know that others before me have fought the same battles and won. Giving someone hope in the midst of their fearful times is a great gift indeed.

Christian motivation and insight
This book was a great buy. I purchased it at a Women of Faith Conference in which I attended. She spoke of instances from this book. The book helps to explore her life, her feelings, and her journey of living fearlessly. She writes true experiences, always protraying her human side as well as her spiritual side. If you've seen her speak, I would definetly encourage you to read this book. It's a great book and makes a great gift.

A Journey Worth Taking!
This book made me laugh (I loved the author's "mental notes") and it made me cry (little Christian's teeth marks)! It opened my eyes to realize that God's grace and mercy are gifts worth sharing with all of my friends and acquaintances, and gifts not to be taken for granted. This book shows how God is with us in every rise and every fall in our lives, and how He is beside us even when we don't realize it. Thank you Sheila for a great book! (please note: I read it straight through...I just couldn't put it down!)

Deeply touched.
My wife recommended that I read this book, stating that she thought every one should. I was hesitant at first, but after laughing and then crying my way through it, I believe she's right. Everyone should. I was deeply touched and reminded again of the importance of all the relationships around me, not just the one's that make me feel good. Of the need to look below the surface to find the true person. Thanks to God for using Eleanor and Sheila to remind me of what is really important in life - others.

Excellent and Helpful for Dark Times
I found this book to be a quick and easy read, and found it to be so helpful, it went on my Christmas list. I gave out thirteen copies to friends, coworkers, and members of my Bible Study! As you go through an experience it can be a daunting, as well as isolating experience. This book lets you know that God is right behind you with open arms, and that you can turn and lean on His strength, regardless of the circumstances of your trial.

An entertaining animated, "child friendly" adventure
Part of the outstanding Tommy Nelson "Gnoo Zoo" series, and based on the popular book by Sheila Walsh, In Search Of The Great White Tiger: A Story About Following God is a wonderfully produced and presented 42-minute video showcasing the story of Big Billy the panda, his animal friends, and the night an evil dragon attempted to take over Gnoo Zoo to rob the gentle creatures of their music, lights, and joy. To save the zoo our heroes go in search of the Great White Tiger in an imaginative, exciting, totally entertaining animated, "child friendly" adventure. In Search Of The Great White Tiger is very highly recommended, especially for young viewers ages 5 through 8.

Filled with Heart, Wonderful Read
Though this was a typical tale of broken-hearted man and fresh-faced miss, it is so well written that it became new again! It even portrayed the raising of the children during that time so well (sometimes seen but never heard)! St. Clair's personality wonderfully came alive. Even his changing nature at the end was brilliant because after all - he was struggling against his own nature. Kate was a nice change of pace too. Fresh faced, plain speaking daughter of an Irish doctor, you knew she would be lively. All the secondary characters and stories were well thought-out and were enjoyable too.

A realistic tale where everyone acted mature (even high-spirited Kate knew when to hold her tongue) and very evenly told. Do not miss this one!!

I found her story quite enjoyable and true to the Regency st
When a fabulous legacy brought Cordelia Darcy from her home in America to a splendid townhouse in Regency London, the high-spirited young heiress took aristocratic society by storm. One man, however, was not moved by her beauty, wit and charm. Instead he considered her a rude, crude, unprincipled schemer who had gained her fortune by despicable trickery and who had become the toast of society by scandalous effrontery. That man was the handsome, blue-blooded, utterly icy Earl of Wyndham-the most infuriating man Cordelia had ever met...and the most irresistible...

I think it's a wonderful romance
