The more you Understand, The more you Know
We can look outside ourselves all we want, but the Truth lays within. This book can take one to depths of Knowingness that can be quite astounding. As one reads this layers upon layers of wisdom will reveal itself. It is all about your relationship with God.

GOLDEN REVELATIONS!
Has a messenger of God ever appeared to you, and shared knowledge of the universes of heaven existing beyond your present state of awareness? Scriptures, bibles, literature and sacred texts of world religions contain words of prophets, teachers and wise-men inspired by their spiritual encounters. Motivated by Divine Spirit, Angels, Masters, A Burning bush, a bright Light, a melliflous Sound, they tried to capture, record, and relate those rapturous moments to others. Author Paul Twitchell joins the ranks of those individual writing about their illuminating experiences for the good of all. He indicates that he received the golden revelations in this book from a guardian of sacred scriptures hidden in the spiritual worlds, and that there are more than twelve other volumes of scriptures in Temples of Golden Wisdom. This is a refreshingly different perspective on God, creation, levels of heaven, the sacred divinity of Soul, what life consists of and ways to live it,the pursuit of truth and God-realization. The cadence, rhythm and meter of the words may be soothing to some, and startling to others. This book, like most scriptures is best understood when read, a few pages at a time, and assimilated or critiqued in quiet sincere reflection. Then its beauty may strike a responsive chord in one's innermost beingness, that greater spiritual aspect in each of us; Soul. After reading the book, I want to see and study those other twelve volumes, and personally meet with those guardians of Golden Wisdom Temples directly, for myself. No intermediaries. Mr. Twitchell writes, "The Voice speaks to all who listen", and implys that enlightenment is possible for every Soul. Personal experience and knowledge of God is not a thing of the past; it is possible here and now. That viewpoint resonates within me as true spiritual freedom. If you find this book inspirational you may enjoy, "Shariyat Ki Sugmad, Book 2", "Stranger By The River", and "Flute of God" by the same author. "The Rosetta Stone of God" by James Davis, "The Art of Spiritual Dreaming" by Harold Klemp, and "In the Company of ECK Masters" by Phil Moritmitsu offer more spiritual options for today's fast paced and grueling challenges. A "Blue-print" for spiritual survival!

Shariyat - Ki - Sugmad
Reading the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad provided me with a wealth of information and knowledge that I had found in no other books. It presents a unique perspective on the spiritual history of humanity and its relationship to God and Spirit.

Paul Twitchell credits it's source as coming from higher worlds. The most amazing thing about this, is that it actually lead me to explore these and gain a spiritual wisdom that goes beyond the words themselves.

The book focuses on ECK(Spirit), ECK Masters and the basic teachings of Eckankar. (The modern day religious organization of Eckankar was founded in 1965 by Paul Twitchell)

The intent of the book seems to be a guide that encourages the reader to read between the lines. That is where the real teachings of Eckankar seem to be revealed.

The Living Eck Master
Complicated, and incoherent book. In each page the author mentions the 'living Eck Master' (without this master you are unable to use cycles). Writen almost all in first person, is very hard to read. Do not waste your time with this book. This book lacks of originality, and maybe, authenticity. I recommend this book only to some ECKist. If you want to know about Cycles, I recommend a really good book., 'Selfmastery and Fate with the cycles of the life', by H. Spencer Lewis.

Study of Life Cycles, light years away from astrology.
The ECK-Vidya has something for everyone. If you wonder why you live a life of ups-and-downs, this book can give you some answers. It goes much further than astrology which limits itself within the material universe. It tells about ECK Masters that are still living in their bodies after centuries of their birth. It also tells about the Ancient Science of Prophecy. That book explores countless realms all accessible through easy contemplative or meditative techniques. It shows ways to delve into your pastlives, and to conquer the fear of death. You can get more information on ECK at: http://www.eckankar.org

Secrets are NOT for everyone.
This book is definitely not for everyone. You need some understanding of Eckankar (at least subconciously) and a desire to explore the depths of God (Sugamd) that few ever go. This book is deep on all levels. So what can you get out of this? If you learn the Code, all the wisdom of Sugmad will be open to you.
May The Blessings Be.

WARNING - THIS IS A COMIC BOOK, NOT A NOVEL!
This is a beautifully done "comic book" version of the Twitchell novel, "Talons of Time". Definitely a collector's item if you love the novel, but *not* the novel if that's what you're looking for (like *I* was...).

Great Book
I have had two copies of this book at two different times. With each book ending up in the hands of friends. The book is very thought provoking. For anyone willing to step outside the norm of thinking, this is a good place to start. Very fast paced and engaging - even for a slower reader such as myself.

highly discriptive
I've found that Paul Twithell's book The Talons of Time is a novel that invokes the imagination. A book that takes you there! You are Peddar Zaskq, the main character of this novel! This one's sure to be a classic. I'd like to see it as a movie, but then movies aren't as good as one's imagination.

The Making of a Spiritual Movement : The Untold Story of Paul Twitchell and Eckankar
Published in Paperback by Garland Pub (1989)
Author: David C. Lane
Amazon base price: $19.95
Average review score:

Lane's Smear Campaign
Research on David Lane reveals that he will attack any religion that comes close to the teachings of his beloved Charan Singh. Lane wrote this one 25 years ago as a college term paper, just after becoming a devotee of Singh. Naturally, since he believes his way to be the only way, anything coming close *must* be stolen from his precious master. His attacks on Eckankar are mild compared to his attacks on the various Indian branches of Sant Mat. This book does a grave disservice to anyone interested in seeking spiritual truth.

David Lane finally tells the truth
This book contains some enigmatic information about Eckankar and Paul Twitchell, the founder of this modern day religion.

Being that he is a Professor at a small California college, this book is generally considered to be a credible scholarly work.

In actuality it is his term paper written twenty years ago, as a twenty year old student.

On 12/28/2000 in postings to the alt.religion.eckankar newsgroup David Lane has finally admitted the truth about this paper.

Writing about his "own biases" he said:

"I agree that there are some slants and some interpretations of mine that cannot be so universally duplicated and those can become arguable points of contention.

First, THE MAKING was written NOT as a sociological treatise but as a 'critical expose'.

Second, I wrote the paper when I was an undergraduate in religious studies.

Third, I am NOT a member of ANY sociological association.

Fourth, I NEVER claimed that the MAKING was a sociological treatise.

I wrote the paper AS AN EXPOSE!"

By intention this book may be shocking to those that do not see that the conclusions he draws and assumptions he makes are just the beginning of his twenty year campaign to defame all religious teachings.

From Catholicism to small innocuous teachings like Eckankar, Professor Lane believes that all religious experience has no reality beyond the neural synaptic firings within the brain.

So this is not a serious work of research but a paper intended to provoke negative opinion about Eckankar. At that it is a compelling success.

David Lane is nothing short of a genius
I am a former student of Doctor Lane, and I consider the time I spent in his classroom as the most influencial experiece of my short life. I recently reread this piece, and I can honestly say it is testiment to my affirmation that he is a reveloutionary scholar in religious studies, and has pumped life into a dying field. Be warned, you will question your faith when studing his material, but what is faith when it is untested?
