A great book , and CD for all people that love guitar music!
The acoustic guitar on the CD sounds great!, and the Illustrations are fun to color. The coloring book seems to take off where most of them end. I think adults would like to color it, as well as kids. It is thought provoking and interesting! The tablature and music notation are easy to read and play. I would strongly recomend this book to kids and adults of all ages. Also teachers can use this book in their classrooms to teach creative writing and drawing. It is well worth the money!

I got this @ home
Music. The universal language. Rock 'n' roll, the music of the universe. Put 'em both together, stir in a bit of French bandes déssinés(comic strips to us Yanks) and you get Rock Toons. No longer in print this book tells the story of the music that will never die. You got Jerry Lee Lewis, the Killer! you got Buddy Holly, you got Motown, you got all the greats from the Beatles to the King himself, Elvis. Originaly published in France this book needs updating. The history only goes as far as the eighties but the beat goes on and on. I'm glad I got a copy for myself, the music sounds better now that I understand what it means.

WOW
A truly amazing book! The genius of the authors is apparent from the get-go. How Walt Disney ever got started without this is mind-boggling.

Great for tracing the Toone family tree
Own the book, and am listed in my father's paragraph. Of course I am biased- I am a 2nd cousin of the author. Kudos to Lavern for his many hours of research and his time in putting all of his information on paper.

Complex Truths in Simple Language
Peter Toon, a Church of England clergyman, gives a concise and clear history of the foundational councils of Christianity (the Seven Ecumenical Councils 325-481 A.D.) and goes beyond their history to explain in simple language the controverseies which prompted them as well as the definitive statements with which the Church Fathers refuted them. I cannot over emphasize the plain and yet fully comprehensive way in which Toon lays out the complex information contained in this volume. It is a wonderful tool for the Layman and a great starting point for the theological student.

A Comprehensive Text on Marketing Research
Covers all the essential topics of marketing research. The questions at the end of each chapter were very useful to me as a student in a marketing diploma course. More tailored for the Asian readers.

Which Rite is Right
The book is a concise overview of the current controversy in use of the prayerbook. It is not overly technical and gives just enough history of prayerbook development to background a lay person in church thought leading to the problems of today. If the author has a personal axe to grind he conceals it well laying the comparisons out for the lay person as well as the scholar to examine. I found it very informative and readable. Its brevity alone kept it from a 5 star rating.

This Book Sucks!
BS"D This book shows how very assimilated American Jews have become and how proud of it some of them are. It is heretical, uninformed, and an all around waste of money. Someone bought it for me not realizing what it was exactly and I ended up throwing it in the trash where it belongs.
A Wonderful Jewish Experience
A spectacular book for scholar or goy. Lawrence Bush deserves a standing ovation for the wit and personality put into this book.
Give this to Jews with a sense of humor
The Torah is alive in the twenty-first century. TT is an interpretation, an explanation, a midrosh through the mind of Lawrence Bush scholar, humorist, baby boomer, psychoanalyzed popculture politico graphic artist.

MY LIFE IN TOONS
An inspiring book for any student of animation, as the author details his life building a huge cartoon empire. Hanna/Barbera went from producing 40 mins a year to 2 and a half hours per week in the matter of afew years..an amazing achievement in any mans language. The book does falter however and reminds me of teh cover picture of Joe barbera ( resplendant in what looks like dyed hair,. a face lift and capped teeth. ) I think a more "warts and all " approach would have been far more interesting..
From a fellow Brooklynite and Artist... 4 Stars
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Joe Barbera's autobiography. It is interesting to delve into the mind of the animator, and more appropriately into one who has made great strives in the animation movement and who has played a part in almost all of our childhoods. Taking a view "behind the scenes" and recognizing the hard work and creativity that went behind the ultimate product-- cartoons that we sat plastered to each and every Saturday morning-- to me, a fellow artist from Brooklyn, was truly enjoyable. My thanks to Hanna-Barbera for some enjoyable years...
The history of Hanna-Barbera from a one of the founders
I simply love Joe Barbera's autobiography, "My Life In 'toons". I got it in 1995 and I have read it many times since then, finding something new every time. It begins when Joe's just a toddler and continues through the entire life of Hanna-Barbera. Hanna-Barbera created more cartoons than any other studio , and in this book Joe Barbera gives some background on each one; he even talks about his and Bill Hanna's part in MGM's Tom and Jerry. This book is filled with interesting and funny fact and stories from Joe's life. If you are a fan of any Hanna-Barbera cartoons (The Flintstones, Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, etc.) or if enjoy the history of animated cartoons, I recommend you get this book.
In addition to this book you may also like to check out Bill Hanna's autobiography, "A Cast of Friends".
