a servicable retelling of the origin episode
If you've seen the opening origin episode of the Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network, you'll know the story that this novel tells. It follows the action verbatim, adapting the three parts of that tale into a single book. But, it also adds some details in the narrative, things subtly missing from the animated adventure itself. For viewers of the show only, it adds a little depth into these heroic characters. For that alone, it is worth recommending to the fans of the show.

JUSTICE LEAGUE RULZ!!
I own this book and I think it's cool! It's based on the Cartoon! I think that kids WILL like it too!

A good beginning camper book
These stories have all the traditional set-ups of ghost stories with a non scary ending. Things may go "bump in the night," but it is racoons in the garbage, nothing more frightening. We read these to some Daisy Girl Scouts (kindergarteners) at their first evening campfire, and they loved it.

Good for 5-10 year old boys who think they want to be scared
The book has several well written stories that start off very scary and as it almost gets too much for the kids a simple and humorous explanation is found. My boys like it.

Wonderful Children's Book
If your child is interested in dinosaurs and their lifestyles, I highly recommend this book. It's filled with stories about different dinos, and is very easy to read. I remember when I was little, I read this book from cover to cover at least 20 times!

This book had great techniques for drawing. The only problem is that Robotnik doesn't look the same as he does in the comic.

For younger readers the first choice for a James Monroe bio
The Profiles of the Presidents series offers a picture on virtually every page to make it easier for young readers to absorb the information provided. In this look at James Monroe author Michael Teitelbaum provides a standard biography detailing his political offices and achievements. Compared to other juvenile biographies of Monroe this volume does not focus as much on his strengths and weaknesses as a leader; however, for an introductory biography, which is what the Profiles of the Presidents series provides, this is not a significant problem. The volume is illustrated with historic portraits and paintings, many of them of Monroe's political contemporaries from Jefferson and Madison to John C. Calhoun and John Quincy Adams, while others focus on showing what life was like in the early days of the United States. Note: One thing I will say for this book is that the cover portrait of Monroe is far and away the most flattering I have seen on the cover of any of these juvenile biographies of our fifth President. The production values of this series are very good and these are uniformally good looking volumes on the American presidents. There are more comprehensive and analytical biographies of James Monroe available, but this remains the idea first choice for younger elementary school students.

Book of Dinosaurs review
We purchased this book for our three year old son. He loves the pictures in the book. He carries it around with him from morning thru bedtime and when he goes to sleep he takes it to bed and sleeps with it right next to him. He loves dinosaurs and knows many of the names of them. Thru this book he has learned not only more dinosaur names but specific information about the dinosaurs in this book. Though some of the text is a little advanced for him and there are certain parts my husband and I change when we read it, we still read this as his bedtime book at night. My two year old son is starting to become interested also. I thought my sons would never be interested in reading. They really are now, we just needed to find the right subject. They are very interested in dinosaurs.

Good if lightweight
A nice little book with a good sense of humor, though it was definitely aimed at the younger set (not that it's juvenile by any means!).
