This is a book you will never forget!
The Accident so far is taking place in a school and at Matt an Chris's house. Most of these settings are at the begging at the book. The charicters in this book are Chris who is a drugie, Matt who is a smart intelligent guy, Karen who is Matt's girlfriend, Jason and Bobby who are two of Matt's friends, Mrs.Walsh is Chris's mother, and Mrs Thompson who is Matt's mother. The plot of this book is that a whold bunch of kids are getting excited about going on a ski trip but soon they will be wishing it was all a dream! I think this book was a very good book, and I would encourage people to read it. Parts of this book would help kinds understand to not drink and drive, and they would discover the consiquences.

This book shows consequences!
This book shows the consequences of drunk driving. Matt and Bobby were best friends, but Matt feels kind of secluded since Jason came along. Then one night Bobby gets in a car with friends who were drinking. All but Jason are killed when their car slams into a ravine. Soon, Matt finds that everyone seems to be hiding something about the accident. He gets clues from a friend's brother who works for the police department. But Matt must find everything out on his own. What will he uncover?

This book is a page turner and very worth reading!

The Accident
The Accident was a thrilling mystery and it dealt with drunk driving. It wasa dark, icy night when five drunk teenagers flew off a ravine;only one survived. Matt is the main character in the book who suspects that something was wrong that night. Chris was also a character who died that nihgt from drunk driving. everyone suspects that he was the one driving since he was known to be a "bad guy". All of the people in the town vanalize Chris's home. Meanwhile, Bobby Stewrt was Matt's best friend, and one of the five who died that night. The Stewerts are a rich family who are donating a pool tot he school. It appears as if they have something to cover up, so Matt is trying to figure out what's going on and who was driving that night. This book taught me never to drink, because if you do, you will have to face the consequences which are destructive and can lead to death. I recommend this book to people who are interested in mysteries and who want to find out who was driving.

A sports book for kids of both sexes
Something seems to be bothering Jenny. Baseball has always been an escape for her and her eleven-year-old friends. All of a sudden, Jenny begins acting strangely, picking fights and arguing over close calls. Then there was the problem with the big kids, led by Jenny's stepbrother Billy, who chased them off the ball field by throwing rocks at them.

Jenny's friends are determined to find out what is wrong so they can keep their after school games going. It just so happens that they learn about compassion and prejudice at the same time.

Close Call is a sports book for kids of both sexes. The teams are pretty evenly co-ed and there is a balanced mixture of baseball action and interpersonal relationships.

Much of the exposition unfolds in dialog and some of the chapters seem a bit too short and break off in the middle of a scene. It's a little choppy, but this might work to the advantage of reluctant readers who need to take a break.

It's All About Friendship!
As a 4th/5th grade teacher, I read children's literature for enjoyment and with one question in mind: How can I use this book in my classroom? Since I use literature sets for reading instruction, I am always looking for new titles to add to my list of book choices. Close Call may not be my favorite book of all-time, but would be good to open a discussion about friendship and our responsibilities to each other as friends. It gives the opportunity for readers to realize that everyone experiences problems and that it is always easier to to cope when friends support one another.

Leave US alone
A group of kids play baseball after school. Then Jenny starts having problems, starting fights and lying to stay on the base and everything like that. Then, Jennys older step-brother is in a gang and the throw rocks and the kids while they are playing. So now they haven't played a full game in a while. What will happen? Will jenny's step-brother ever stop throwing rocks and will jenny's problems go away? Read the book and see! this was a really good book. I couldn't put it down and read it in one night!

Help! I'm Trapped in the President's Body

Help! I'm Trapped in the President's Body
Help! I'm Trapped in the President's Body by Todd Strasser is just an average book. Parts of the book are funny, especially when the characters almost start a nuclear war. There is also a funny ending. I like the idea that a middle school student gets turned into the President. The book needs more action, though. All the characters do is walk around and talk. Maybe the other books in the series are better. I wouldn't recommend this book to a friend. I rate this a 2 ½ star novel.

Educational yet fun
This is a book about Jake Sherman and he's shocked when he finds out that the President of the United States is coming to his class. Jake and the President switch bodies by mistake but they make a deal so that the President can do his debate and Jake can take his social studies test.
I liked this book because it was very exciting. This was a great book. I thought this book was great because it told you what the President does and how hard it is. If you like books about trying to solve a problem, you will like this book.

Now who's in charge
I recommend this book to anyone who has a sence of humor.I thought it was funny when Jake just turned himself into the president and he didn't even know it,or when he had to give a speech during the election and he didn't have a clue on what to say. This was a really good book and I enjoyed reading it.

Hey Dad Get a Life
This book was a confusing, un-inhibited, dominatrix.
!!

Hey, Dad Get A Life
I have read the story about 2 times already. The story is about 2 sister who must face a horrible truth that their father died. But somehow the ghost of their father return home. He help his two daughter alot of things like: win the basketball championship, help them to clean their room, cheat on math test, and other things. I recommend everybody to read this story because its a very emotional book. This book tell you how they can't accept their father dead. Its a really okay story.

My reluctant reader could not put this book down.
My daughter has ADD and is a reluctant reader, usually choosing books under her current reading level and short in length (60-70 pages). She devoured this book in just a few days and would not put it down until done. She loved it! I would like to give the author a hug for finally helping my girl break through. Read it!

MUTILATED MONKEY MEAT
This story takes place in a camp called "Camp Run-A-Munk" It is a camp where you should not act like a teachers pet. All the food in the cafetieria is horrible. All the kids are counting on the one and only canteen where they sale candy.

Sunndenly the canteen catches on fire. There is nothing for the kids to eat.Now the two assistant cooks are getting mobbed for anything sweet. The assistant cooks are trying to find out what was the cause of the fire. The kids are all going crazy and will eat anything! For example, toothpaste and stale cereal. They are desperate! Later on Lucas and Justin(assistant cooks) find out that someone in the woods is selling candy for a huge amount of money. No one in camp knows who the mysteriouse merchant is. All Lucas and Justin want to know is who is selling the expensive candy. They wonder where the candy is from and how the seller thought of somthing so smart! They think it might be the stuck up teachers pet that is over pricing valuble candy, but he's not smart. So he probably couldn't be. They check any way here is there plan. They get an old mutilated monkey and make a shish kobab with that.(since he loves shish kobabs) They make the one and only girl he likes to bribe him into eating it, and of course he ate it, but he has no idea what meat it contains. Then she said what she was craving for, and that was candy, and he stared straight into space. The story goes on..............
