Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny used to live alone in a boxcar. Now they have a home with their grandfather, and on their yearly trip to buy freshly harvested honey they find trouble at the Shermans' honey farm. When the Aldens arrive at the Sherman's farm, they are sad to find a honey stand empty and a sign that reads: SORRY, NO HONEY THIS YEAR. The owner of the farm explains that his bees have suddenly stopped making honey. No one knows why. If the bees do not start producing honey soom, the Shermans will have no honey to sell and they might even lose their farm. The Alden's promise to solve the mystery of the missing honey. Can the Boxcar Children save the Shermans' farm in time?

Well-written,the story flows. It was interesting to hear a little about bees and honey production(and it wasn't at all boring!)There is a strong plot, and I didn't have the mystery figured out by the third page ,either.A good read, enjoy.

i own this book and i think this is not exactly the best of the boxcar children book series. it is exactly in between. in my opinion this book was a teeny bit boring. if you want your money's worth i don't think you would want to buy this book.

There was a lot of adventure. If you like Boxcar Children books, you would probably like this one too.

The Soccer Mystery
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (1999)
Amazon base price: $11.50
Average review score:

This book was about the Aldens and Soo Lee playing on a soccer team. Like a usual Boxcar book, mysterious things start to happen. This was a pretty good book, but it could have had a better ending, that's why I only gave this chapter book 4 stars. By the way, this book has 116 pages, but it has fairly big print.

I read The Soccer Mystery. I thought this book was really great because I really like soccer and mysteries, and I've never read a book from The Box Car Children. I recommend that kids under 7th grade should read this book because this is a really great book! If you read this book you will probably enjoy it!

This book is about Benny,Jessie,Violet,Herny, and their Granfather. This is a good book.Who ever didn't read this book yet you shoud read it.I will give 3 star. The Aldens went on a camp out in Blue Mound State Park. They hear a loud noises at night.Wonder who is making those noises? If you read it you will find out.

There are so many different topics that a teacher can tie into this book: nature studies, camping trips for elem/ secondary students during vacations, also conservation of our natural resources in today's society.

I really liked this story because I like mysteries...I know you will like this book too. It is about the Aldens and they want to spend a camping trip with their grandfather but during their camping trip weird things have been going on. Who is this person? Read the book to find out.
