Freshman Quarterback (Chip Hilton) scores big in the 90's!
Chip Hilton scores big in Freshman Quarterback. Some of the problems he faces are as relevent today as they were in the original writings. The updates are great and still don't detract from the quality and message Clair Bee originally intended. I wish I could be on Chip's team, just like I wanted to when I first read the series in the early 60's! Great Book, Great Series! Thanks for bringing them back!

i know people who know this to be true
IT IS NOT FAR FROM THE TRUTH and keith wants people to know about what is going on out there..I think that is good since there is so much lies and deceitfulness..I am glad he takes a stand for it..that is why I am also glad to be a Christian to..I know first hand about secret societies..I was in the black dragon for years.

A marvelous and beautiful pop-up historical work of of art
This book is sure to sit on may coffee tables of both those who own and ride Harley's, as well as those who appreciate the beauty of the machine, it's legacy and the creativity in which the book was put together. The Harley logo on the front of the book, when pressed, gives the sound of a Harley engine being started and then fades in the distance. I recommend this book for teenage through senior. By the way, I don't drive a Harley or am connected to the company!

Meg and Jim's Sled Trip

Outstanding Childrens Book
I understood that this book is one of a series that can help teach children to read more effectively. However, my daughter and I both thought that is was simply fun to go through over and over, just on its own merits. The illustrations were great and can't help remind the adult reader of their own childhood as well. I am buying 10 more just for gifts for friends with toddlers who want to get a leg up in reading skills.

An essential reference for electronics Mfg/Engr/QA folks!
The authors have used real-world measures of quality (=dependability) to define a strategy for improving the TRUE QUALITY of manufacturing output for electronic products and sub-assemblies. If you're involved in electronic design and manufacturing (as I am), chances are your present employer is doing many costly things in the name of Quality that you KNOW are counterproductive. This gem of a book points out a lot of these practices, and provides OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE about how they're bad and why we do them anyway. And if you're like me, this book will also point out a few things you DIDN'T KNOW where counterproductive, too. Reading and studying this book has made me DETERMINED to fight the forces of pseudo-quality that are a growing menace within the company I work for. Wish me luck!

Literature about work that really works
This collection from Bottom Dog Press is excellent for anyone who's been looking for a good college-text to get students talking about literature and work. In these stories, students will find their fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, and even themselves. Literature about work provides a rich opportunity for discussion and learning, and this book is definetely rich in its potential. Bret Comar's story is especially breath-taking.

Point of Attack Defense Strikes Back
Hot off the football feild press. I think this book is a great book because of all the tackling and fierce players. This book is called Point of Attack Defense Strikes Back. Harry Carson is the main football player of this book. He is a great defensive captain and all time line backer. Harry Carson plays for the New York Giants.

A Look into the mind of a Creative Genius
I purchased this book when I visited Chicago and needless to say, I lucked out in finding it tucked away in its respected shelf.

First thing that made me want to get it was the fact that I worship Scorsese and his impeccable filmmaking abilities. The second and final factor that sealed the deal was that this book wasn't on my shelf. It was a missing link in my anthology of books on film and film history.

This book is as analytical and influential as a book on an admired director like Marty can ever be.It has every film he ever directed, including little bits of info and background on the Armani commercials and music video he's also directed.
The book starts with his very first film he made as a child, "Vesuvius" and ends with the much anticipated "Gangs of New York," due in theatres on Christmas Day. (I will be in the ticket line!)

In a nutshell, this book is fabulous! It should not, by any means, be left out of a film enthusiast's book shelf.

Sow the Word...Harvest Character: A Year of Devotions for the Growing Christian
Published in Paperback by Standard Publishing Company (1998)
Authors: Kenton K. Smith and Jim Eichenberger
Amazon base price: $10.99
Buy one from zShops for: $4.00
Average review score:

A Biblical challenge to live each day as Jesus Christ would.
In a few short weeks, Sow the Word will show you a new depth to life and relationships, found through studying the person of Jesus Christ. Kenton's book is set up simply - a weekly focus of one characteristic of Jesus, followed by a daily Scripture reading and a challenge to grow in the depth of your own character. The book is not dated, giving a freedom to choose which week's topic most closely relates to where your need is. What you receive from this book depends on your commitment to the daily discipline of reading the Scripture, your willingness to be realistic about attitudes that are negative, and your habits that keep you from living the abundant life in Jesus Christ.
