Even though I read this book a long time ago I still remember how good it was. It was the first romance book I read. I have a passion to read and wanted to buy this book, along with the other sunfire books, and was saddened to learn that they are no longer in print. Cassie is a must read. I'm heading to the library to check out this book.

Cassie is the best book i have ever read! I have read about three times the amount a person my age should read (13) but countless people will agree with me. I have viewed so many different types and kinds of heroism, but in this breathtakingly real book, Cassie has mastered them all! She has courage, stability, two families, and she knows what the realy world is.

Yes she does become a traitor. But woudn't you do the same thing for the people who you live with? I know i would. She has learned to love the ways of the white man but still no one could forget the freedom of riding bareback on a galloping mustang with the wind in you face and a whole lifetime to enjoy it.

And she is brave once again when she has to choose between to men for the honest sake of love. I am a definite fan of Vivian schurfranz and hope one day to get around to write her a positive, verry long letter on how she inspired me.

If you love people who fight for what them believe in and they don't give up even when the going gets rough.... well, here is a book for you.

Cassie, one of Vivian's finest, is one of my favorites. My mother read to me alot as a child and at thirteen this was the last one that she read to me. Every night I would sit in her sunken bathtub, as her voice helped play out the beauty of this book. Special memories and a very special book. Eventhough it's been many years since I first read this book, it still remains one of my most favorite romance novels. I remember buying it to read on a family vacation and finishing it on the very first day of driving! I couldn't put it down! This story is priceless, informative and very romantic. A sure-fire hit with young ladies (of all ages!). It hits true to the core in regards to how young girls feel "love" when it's really a crush. True love is right under your nose and you don't see it until something finally opens your eyes to the truth. Vivian Schurfranz understands this clearly and I'm certain reached the hearts of many with this timeless tale. I highly recommend! As a matter of fact, I would really like to see the entire Sunfire romance collection return to the bookshelves, even for just a little while, to give a new generation a chance to enjoy all of these wonderful stories of young girls and love!

I wasn't at all bored with this book and it has become one of the best books I've read so far. It's just a simple plot: Leah wants to help the neighborhood 'witch' and hermit, Mrs. Fox, and with all the time Leah spends with her, her best friends, Roseanne and Danielle start to resent her because they are feeling left out. It's a great book and I think it's a good book for anyone who can read.

This book was great! She stows away on the Mayflower and is an outcast who becomes loved. But Merrie has to face tragedies like sickness and she is sentenced to leave. Then becomes blood sisters with an Indian. But will she go back to London or stay where she is not wanted?

Merrie is a well-off English girl, cir. 1620. Yet she craves adventure (and what good Sunfire heroine DOESN'T??), and stows away aboard a little ship known as the Mayflower! Not only must Merrie choose her men but her continents! And of course Merrie clashes with those somber Pilgrims, makes friends with the Indians, etc. Also, this story has one of the most touching scenes of the series when Merrie must make her choice between the guys... Great stuff...

To begin with, we have a typical Schurfranz herione - "sassy", headstrong - and often immature and terribly anachronistic. Historical characters are changed to suit her needs, and the ending - again, one typical of Schurfranz (I shan't spoil it for those of you who have not read it yet). But it has a good dose of adventure and it's better than similiar Battle of New Orleans stories presented by the Dawn of Love and American Dreams series (well, for AD, "Reyana's Reward". The Rosie and the Raider series is superior.)

Initially I really liked this book. The portrayal of Danielle and New Orleans is very light and good, but toward the end, I got extremely irritated with how immature she turned out to be. It's not until the very end that she finally settles the decision between Geoffrey and Paul and it turned out pretty exactly as I had predicted. In some ways, I suppose Schurfranz is pretty accurate in her portrayal of Danielle as a 15-year-old girl, but the spirit and intelligence she showed in the beginning were lessened by the bad decisions she makes, making it hard to admire her as a heroine.

Danielle is a wealthy girl living with her parents on a plantation near New Orleans. Danielle is engaged to quiet Paul, who offers her a comfortable life. But when she is captured by pirates, Danielle meets Geoffory Laffiete, and falls in love with him as well. Which man will win Danielle's heart?

First off, this book was extremely corny. Also, it was unrealistic to the times. Vivian Schurfranz has taken a thuroughly modernized girl with a very contemporary way of speaking and thinking, thrown in a few historical facts, and sold it as historical fiction. I've read several other Sunfire books by Ms. Schurfranz and they all have exactly the same heroine, each disguised under a different name.

I thought this book was very good. It has everything a girl likes in a romance novel. Vivian Schurfranz is one of my favorit authers.

Renee has everything! Romance,adventure and humor, a young lady growing up at the turn of the century, She must choose who she truly loves,basing her descion on her lifes' dream, to be a roving reporter. There is no doubt in your mind who she will choose,but seeing her go through her decsion is an enjoyable read! Another super Sunfire book!

This book was a big let down. Megan must decide between a stuck up store worker and a friendly fisherman. During the whole book I was rooting for the same guy and it took her FOREVER to go to him. Nothing happened. This book was well written but it is not one of my favorites.

After reading the rest of the Sunfire books, I expected this one to be as good or better than the others. However, I was dissapointed by this book. It was set in 1867 Alaska. NOTHING HAPPENED IN THIS BOOK THAT WAS EXCITING! The author kept writing over and over again about Megan trying to decide who she loved. There was too much on that topic and not enough historical details. This book was a dissapointment. Even when Megan was kidnapped by fur traders (Which was about the only exciting thing that happened), she escaped too quickly and easily.

I think that this is a WONDERFUL book. It had a few low points but once I got into it I loved it. Amanda is a newdent at a new school. She has to make friends and shows off by doing magic tricks. Everyone loves when she pulls silk roses from Jessica's sleeve but when she loses Jessica's ring from her grandmother it's not so much fun and games anymore. Amanda cant help getting in trouble and the teacher thinks she's just a showoff and a clown. How can Amanda gain Jessica's trust and friendship and have everyone like her again including the teach. I thought this was a great book. I liked it and it showed that it's not all fun fun fun and play play play as a kid. It really brings out the stronger points of childhood. It is one of those things that if it happened to you you would NEVER forget. I loved the book and I think that you should read it too.
