Weak electrical and fuel injection
This manual is weak in certain areas. It is worth the price but the Bentley manual is much better being closer to real shop manual.

OK but not Great
I've owned and used these Haynes 240 Series manuals (various editions) for over 15 years. The book is just OK for covering general maintenance and minor repairs but is lacking in many areas.

About a year ago, I purchased the Bentley manual for the 240 and haven't looked at my Haynes since. The Bentley goes into far greater detail in the areas of electrical, fuel injection, and suspension. The troubleshooting section is also more comprehensive.

If you're wanting to buy one repair manual to own for the life of your Volvo(s), spend the little extra money for the Bentley book. The Haynes book just doesn't measure up and Chilton is by far the worst.

not up to Haynes usual standards...
Haynes has an admirable reputation for publishing clear, concise repair manuals for automobiles. This particular volume is troubling in its organization, its breadth of model year coverage and its inadequate depth of coverage of engine management systems. Haynes is an English firm, and this is an American published version of the English manual. As a result, this manual is objectionably weak at covering the electronic fuel injection and ignition systems found on most 1983 and newer US model Volvo's - which just happens to be one area of particular interest to most owners - what to do when the "check engine" light comes on. In this reviewer's opinion, the Bentley manual is considerably better. The Chilton manual, though weak on essentials, covers engine management reasonably well.

It has 2 of the 3 pieces of info you need: Two Thumbs Down
It has 1) How to extract the code 2) Code Number/Cause chart, but NO chart mapping the flashing light to the CODE NUMBER!!!!!!!!!! There's no mention of any other book to referece either. I can make my little light flash but this book gives me no stinkin' clue as to what it MEANS!!!

Very useful for the do it yourselfer.
I use this book almost daily,it gives very good information to testing components and how to retrieve trouble codes for vehicles, although the code definitions are only the meanings of the codes,it supplies you with enough info to be able to know what to start looking at,and there are places on the web to get more help once you have the codes,so for as inexpensive as the book is,it should be in every do it yourselfers toolbox.

Don't waste your Money-A Duke MBA
I bought this book to prepare for financial accounting. I do not recommend it, get the "Accounting for Finance" Workbook. This is basic accounting, not very related to actual financial analysis.

A thorough, well-written introduction to accounting
For those of us who don't have an accounting background, but need to have one fast, this book is great. I didn't follow the 36-hour guideline, although I have no doubt that the "course" can be completed in that time. I read it leisurely, an hour here, an hour there, and was able to read the book in two weeks. Each chapter has a distinct lesson, with an "exam" at the end of the chapter (and supplemental exams in the back of the book). The content is well written, with plenty of great examples and definitions of basic terms. I don't have an accounting background, but I needed one, and selected this book as one of many to get myself up to speed. This book was the best of several that I choose, and I do think it did the best job in terms of education. The book can be read straight through, or you can use it as a reference - the contents are segmented in such a way that it's a handy reference guide.

Highly recommended for those people without accounting backgrounds who need one.

Redefining Christianity
If you consider yourself a Christian and believe that the Word of God is divinely inspired and infallible, you will be insulted by the heresies contained in this book. If, on the other hand, you don't care what the Bible has to say about sin, redemption, the atoning work of Jesus on the Cross (Schuller says Jesus did this so that He would not become egotistical!) and other crucial issues of Christianity, and you just want to feel good about yourself, read away! Please look at some articles on the internet and see for yourself before you buy this book.

This book will heal anyone!
Everyone should read this book! It will mend broken lives. It will help you to realize your dreams !It will enable you to let God help you become what He dreamed you would become !

This book is about 4 people in the north pole that get lost
The book "A flag at the pole" is pretty good. Its a really cool book. At some times its exciting and at other times it gets boring. The reason i like this book is because it is weird. Its about 4 people that go to the North Pole and get really lost. they are from Britain. Their names are Jack, Maria, Joey, and Beth. They try to get home but they run into a lot of trouble. In the story they run into a polar bear that is really big but they.......... you have to read the book to find out what happens. The book has many exciting parts. I like the polar bear part the best. There are a lot of more problems than what I wrote. They run into deer, storm, and a lot of other things. THis book was pretty fun to review. I am done with the review now so take this book out at the library a.s.a.p. because it is a really great book

Doesn't tell you complete story
I bought this manual for my 98 Accord. I wanted to remove steering column covers. The instruction said, remove three screws which I did & take out upper half & lower half. But it is not that simple, I ended up breaking my ignition key light.
This book assumes many things. If you are novice like me, it won't help you at all.

Good Book for most of your maintanance needs
I bought this book from you guys about a month ago for my '99 accord. Just two days ago I did a brake job myself with the help of this book and it helped me greatly. It had detailed, step-by-step pictures and instructions for the entire procedure. My only gripe is that the instructions for removing the lower panel(to replace AC Filter) on the passenger side dash was a little vague and I ended up breaking it.. but its okay though, I put the panel back and the breakage is not noticeable. Great tips and everything for a person who wants to work on their own car and save some money while doing it.(I've already saved...in labor from doing my AC Filter and brakes myself) Overall a great book. =)

A terrible text
This book is dreadful. My students hate it and I'm sorry I ever subjected them to it because it makes music and music education seem completely "dead".

A Bad Book
We had to read this book for our Foundations course in music education. I found it boring, out of date, poorly written --- altogether, it's a very, very poor introduction to the field of music education by three very pedantic, "out of touch" authors.

Useful Supplemental Text for Music Education Majors
The content of this text makes it a fine supplement to any "nuts and bolts" textbook for pre-service music teachers. While the authors do not address important topics such as rehearsal planning, teaching skills, and behavior management; they do address several other topics not usually treated in detail in secondary texts -- topics such as music education history, philosophy and aesthetics, psychological and sociological foundations, curriculum development, research competencies, assessment, and current issues in teacher education. I use this as a library reserve item, asking students to present in-class reports on its various topics. An extremely useful supplement that leads to professionally oriented in-class discussions.

Here We Go Again
Robert Schuller continues to delve into the mind-religion stuff and his positive thinking is in line with Norman Vincent Peale, who was "liked" by everyone, or so some say. If thinking will make it so, well...the rest of the world should learn this. Has Robert ever read "...out of the heart comes murders, adulteries, hate, etc." It's what's in the heart that matters, not the mind. Don't waste your time with this one.

Unsettling.
Let me start by saying that I accepted Christ about 7 years ago. I love the Lord. I realize that the Lord still has a lot to teach me. And I'm willing to go with Him anywhere He leads. I feel like I'm living close to God and that I am spiritually discerning. After all, I have His Holy Spirit living in me. I say all of this to say that Dr. Schuller scares me. I have seen His TV broadcast on a number of occasions and it would appear that he preaches alot about the power of positive thinking. While I am not against positive thought, I feel that the real power is in the Holy Spirit. The way to unlock that power is to surrender completely to God. All our thoughts, all our burdens, our very lives. Then, God can begin to use us in very powerful ways. There is something about Dr. Schuller that is unsettling to my spirit. I'm not sure what his motivation is. I do not mean any disrespect to Dr. Schuller. When I listen to Charles Stanley, or Chuck Swindoll, or Billy Graham, or Tony Evans, or Greg Laurie, or Max Lucado I do not get the same uneasy feeling in my spirit.

xxxx
This is only a letter to Dr. Robert H. Schuller Dear Dr Schuller, I like reading your books very much. They have inspired me so much. I have given your book tough times never last but tough people do, to many of my friends and they too have been inspired.

Dr. Schuller I really want to know your email address. Pls. write and let me know.

Arundathy Gunawardena.
