Delgado and Stefancic do it again!
An excellent collection of essays and law review articles that explore the concept of "whiteness" and what it means in American Law. While the editors are well-known Critical Race Scholars, they also include essays by those who are critics of Critical Race Theory (notably Daniel Farber and Suzanne Sherry). A must have for anyone interested in the sociological implications and effects of race and/on the law.

Dorothea Tanning
Dorothea Tanning shows an incredibly wide range of artistic styles in this compilation of her works. Some of the most intruiging and inspiring paintings I have ever seen!

Great visual component for early childhood, beginning reader
Definitions in this book were read, one or two lettters at a time, as bedtime stories, when our child was just learning to read. We read it many times over, and it was fun and informative. The simple colorful illustrations were a delight. This year our child at age 11 won a full four year scholarship to Purdue, because he received one of the top scores in state Mathcounts competition. His foundation in math began with this dictionary.

The basic algorithms are explained in detail and the algorithmic language defined in the book is easily translated to any computer language.
Jean-Michel Basquiat : Works on Paper

Sensational!
I haven't actually got around to buying this book for myself but I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy from a Basquiat-mad friend. It is an amazing book. The presentation and content make it a must, albeit an expensive must, for any serious Basquiat devotee! It contains a lot of images that I haven't seen before in books or galleries. I have a couple of other Basquiat Monographs but this is definitely better than the rest. Needless to say it is on my wish list....

Important Work Available Again At Last!
Vaughan's series of books on Valois Burgundy have long been a staple for anyone interested Burgundian history and culture. After a long stretch of being out of print, and very difficult to find, these new editions are sure to be welcomed by many historians. Added to Vaughan's work is a fantastic new introduction written for the 2002 edition by Malcolm Vale (another historian I would readily recommend).
While these works may be older, and more recent work has been done on Burgundy, Vaughan's scholarship is still first-rate. A must for the bookshelf of anyone interested in Valois Burgundy, or Northern Europe in the late 14th and 15th centuries.

The authors have reproduced the pages of the original ledgerbook in their original size and have added very detailed explainations of the drawings.
This book is very well researched and produced. David F. Halaas is the Colorado State Historian and Andrew Masich is a past president of that organization.
