A Fine Distiguished Book
As a fifth-grader, I feel pretty humble about writing a review for THE NBA BOOK OF OPPOSITES. But if you are a die-hard basketball fan, THIS IS THE ONE BOOK YOU NEED FOR YOUR COLLECTION! I'm not kidding! And even if your grade point average isn't 4.0, you'll still be able to read the words. Oh, except maybe that one hard one-right. See, the "G" is silent...anyway, it's a cute book. Oh, I forgot to mention that toddlers will enjoy it too!

My book was interesting and very funny.
Space Jam is a book about a mix between real people and cartoons. In the book Martians from a cartoon planet are losing control over their cartoon attractions. No one is coming anymore, and the rides are boring! So the boss of the Martians sends them to Bugs Bunny's world. The Martians landed down and said that the toons are now prisoners to the Martian world. They are going to be a new attraction to their theme park. Now Bugs saw that the Martians are very Dumb. So he says that they have to let them have a chance to defend themselves. So Bugs said, if they win in a basketball game, Bugs and the other tunes don't have to be there slaves. The Martians agreed to the offer and started to practice.

Later in the human world, Michael Jordon was in the middle of a golf game. It was his turn to go, so he hit and the ball stopped for a moment, halfway down the hill. Then, for some strange reason the ball started to roll again, and the ball went straight in the hole. Since this was his first time, his annoying friend wanted to take a picture of him pulling out the golf ball. When the picture snapped, Michael Jordon disappeared. Well, Michael really didn't dissapear, he just got sucked down into the cartoon world by Bugs Bunny. Then the cartoons asked Michael to help them in the Basketball game. Michael accepted and started to practice. Finally the big day came but the Martians weren't themselves. They were huge, they were the "Monstars". It was very hard to compete with them, then they finally beat them. It was very hard, but they finally slipped away. If you want to find out what happens next read the cool book Space Jam.

The Runaway Dog is a Runaway Hit
THE RUNAWAY DOG is a book about a boy, his friends, and a dog named Rags. The boy was playing Pilgrims, Indians, and a turkey. Rags was the turkey. Jones, the boy, was chasimg Rags and they did not know that he disappeared. The boy went looking for him but did not find him.
After the boy found his dog, they went to find Mr.Signorelli. He had no family. So the boy asked if he would have Thankgiving dinner with him. He said, "Yes, I will have dinner with you." That is the end of the Case Of The Runaway Dog.
I like this book. It is fun. When you get in the middle of the book you will find out who the bad person is. This is exciting book because you have to figureout clues.

Great Fun for Younger Readers!
There's more going on than Joey Pignattano's big upcoming event: to eat a worm (for a dollar). The second grade teacher is a sweetheart - will she finally win the pumpkin pie baking contest this year? Then there's the really scary story floating around about the real mummy that comes every Halloween -it can't be true, can it? But then . . . the mummy (gasp!) shows up at school for Halloween! Cool fun for younger readers (and not really scary).

Help! This is a scary book
It all started with a bet. Joey Pignattano, Jigsaw's friend, is going to eat a worm on Halloween for a dollar. Everyone ( except Bigs Maloney) thinks it's a gross, and I mean gross, idea. Finally, Joey's big day comes. Jigsaw brings some worms for Joey, but just before the school's annual pie contest, the worms disappear! This looks like a job for Jigsaw Jones and Mila Yeh. This book was a little bit duller than "The Case of the Spooky Sleepover", another Jigsaw Jones book. Good luck on new books James Preller.

Preller does another great job with Jigsaw Jones
My six year old loves these books. And for his parents? We couldn't be happier to find a series of well written mysteries for kids. Preller's situations and characters are fun and up-to-date. We're in the middle of reading them all and have liked each one enormously. One caveat: this particular book had me reading a few sections with my stomach in my throat. Of course my kids thought that Joey Pignattano eating a worm was nothing more than great fun. I guess you just have to be under 20 to understand!

Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf!
Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf was an all right book! It was about how trees are planted, which leafs belong to which trees, and also how workers come and pick up tree sprouts to get transplanted and they tend them year after year then once the trees start to settle in they get measured, marked, and then uprooted again the workers load the tree up and take it to a place where people can go and buy it and re-plant it in their yard and that's what the kid in the story did! I don't think kids would really enjoy this book because it was pretty boring in my opinion but also very educational to the point kids would learn many things from this book!

Hiccups for Elephant
I think that this book is a great learn how to read and easy reader book. It blends laughs and learning. My sister read it to me and she loved it. She kept reading it for the next few nights. She thought it was very funny and I think she learned a lot of reading skills from this book. After the few days she complained it was too short, so I think that it would of been better if it was a little longer but still easy. I did think it was kind of short when my sister read it, but other than that i think that this is a great buy if you have kids learning to read. If you have a kid that's beginning to read i think that this book would be a great buy for you.

Great for learning readers
Hiccups for Elephant is a great book for beginning readers because it's short, funny for the young'ens, and the letters are big and easy to see. This book is about a groups of animals trying to take a nap, but one has hiccups, the elephant. The animals wake up one at a time to try and help the elephant fall asleep. I strongly recommend this book for parents that are trying to get their kids to learn how to read. FORGET hooked-on-phonics. Why waste money on cheap carp when you can spend 3 bucks on this or less. Mystery fun for kids
Young Theodore Jones, called Jigsaw because of his love of solving puzzles and mysteries, (along with his friend Mila) is hired by his classmates to find out who the mystery author is who is scheduled to visit their school. Along the way they explore several meanings to the term "ghostwriter"! My 7-yr old first-grader read this book to me. It is listed here for ages 4-8. It's a great book to read to this age group, but he stumbled a bit with some of the term and really didn't get into reading the story with pleasure 'til he was well into it. He is an advanced reader, but even so I think I'll save the other Jigsaw Jones books for me to read to him for another 6-12 months when they'll be smoother reading for him. Don't pass up on these books tho, they're clever fun.

What I liked about The Case of the Spooky Sleepover
My name is Jack and I am a 7 year old first grader. This book is the first Jigsaw Jones mystery I have read. The mystery solver's nickname is Jigsaw. His nickname is Jigsaw because he solves mysteries like puzzles. I like the book because the mystery is cool. I like it that the kids are about the same age as me. These books are good for active readers.
